A Texture (敷物(テクスチャー), Shikimono(Tekusuchā)?),[1][2] alternatively called Texture: Reality (現実(テクスチャ), Genjitsu(Tekusucha)?)[3] or Texture: Cosmic Hypothesis (空想仮説(テクスチャ), Kūsō Kasetsu(Tekusucha)?),[4] is a layer of the fabric of reality covering the surface of a Living Planet.[1][2] Humans also refer to this concept as other Worlds (世界, Sekai?),[1][2][5] alternate Dimensions (次元, Jigen?),[6][7] Conceptual Dimensions (概念次元, Gainen Jigen?),[8] or simply Layers (レイヤー, Reiyā?) covering the planet.[9][7]

A Texture, also known as a World, is akin to a piece of cloth that thinly extends across the surface of a Living Planet.[1][2][5] These Textures have different Laws of PhysicsWP and levels of Mystery associated with them. The reason for this is that the planet constantly modifies them based on the understanding of the ruling intelligent lifeform on its surface—its Prime Species.[1][2] For example, during the Age of Gods, gods and Fairies ruled the Earth. As such, the conditions on the land were different than in present day. However, when Humans departed from the gods and became the greatest influence in the world, the Earth's rules were altered to optimize their survival.[2] Over time, humanity's consumption-based civilization took full control and developed further, causing every field of magecraft to decline in power and scale.[9] As such, the era once filled with abundant Mystery and magical energy started dying out, causing the gods to become mere natural phenomena and the True Ether in the atmosphere to disperse. After the death of the King of Magecraft Solomon in 900 BC, this decline accelerated, causing the Age of Gods to finally come to an end during 1 AD.[2][10][11][12] On the other hand, when Dragons and fairies became aware that their existences were now considered a violation of human rules, they willingly migrated underground, leaving the surface for humans to prosper in.[2]

It is possible for certain beings and artifacts of immense power to alter, weave or remove Textures.[13][14][15][3] There are Anchors which prevent Textures from peeling away from the surface of the Planet Earth, such as Rhongomyniad,[1][16] Sun Wukong's Ruyi Jingu Bang,[17] etc. True Ancestors are capable through their Event Storage ability, to conceptually and physically store that which is on the surface of the planet, the ability to requisition Textures.[18] The gravitational sphere that appeared at Arcueid Brunestud's feet when she entered her Luminous Body was of a scale great enough to store the entire planet's Texture.[18][19] During Moon Dubai, the Moon Cancer displayed this ability as well.[20] The Great Three Ploys, Flat Snark, Thames Troll and Wandersnatch are capable of plastering a Texture from the Age of Gods on top of the modern world.[21] The Noble Phantasm Grand Illusion of François Prelati is a grand Magecraft that surpasses even the environment to deceive the very Texture of the Earth with an illusion.[22]

During the events surrounding the Ishtar Cup, Ishtar used a Holy Grail to impose a Venusian Texture upon the soil of ConnachtWP as part of a plan to recreate Gugalanna.[13][14][23]

Human World

The Human World (人間世界, Ningen Sekai?), also known as the Present World, is the last Texture covering the Planet Earth. Since the start of the A.D. era, the magical energy in the atmosphere (a.k.a. mana) has been steadily decreasing. By the 21st Century, magi power their Mystery through the Od produced by their Magic Circuits alone.[24]

The boundary that delimits the Human Texture is known as the Ends of the World (最果て, Saihate?, alt. "World's End"). This is the place where anchors securing the world are located.[citation needed] For example, Rhongomyniad, King Arthur's Holy Lance, is a Tower that pins the Texture to the surface of the planet Earth, preventing it from being peeled off by the Reverse Side of the World.[1][2][25] On the other hand, Voyager also possesses an anchor that embodies the Ends of the World.[26] While it is not explicitly stated, it could be induced that Voyager 1WP—the object created by humanity that has traveled the furthest from Earth in history—delimits how far the Texture stretches, thus anchoring it.

The Wandering Sea's base is known as The Moving Tomb (移動石柩, Idō Sekkyū?).[27] It was built before the A.D. era in an island from the Age of Gods, and it remains hidden in the North SeaWP.[27][28] Most people aware of its existence describe it as a floating mountain range that wanders around the sea.[27][28] However, in actuality, the headquarters don't move at all.[28] Instead, the sea acts as a separate world that drifts between the Earth's Textures, keeping the island's location secret at all times.[28][29] Due to this, it is considered an Independent Singularity (独立した特異点, Dokuritsu Shita Tokui-ten?),[28] a place that cannot be observed by any means created by or relying upon science.[29] This is how it was able to escape the Bleaching during the Human Order Revision Incident.[28][29]

Reverse Side of the World

Between the Human World and the Planet's surface lies the Reverse Side of the World (世界の裏側, Sekai no Uragawa?) (a.k.a. the Fairy Realm by Merlin), a Texture like the one where Humans lived back in the era where Phantasmal Species strode the land. This is the place most Dragons and Fairies migrated to when humans became the ruling lifeform. The only ones who remained on the land were those who didn't have the strength to migrate there, and those who couldn't accept their own end. The formers were considered harmless, but the latter pose grave threats by becoming Threats to Humanity. Furthermore, relatively more powerful individuals could survive the loss of atmospheric mana, so it was possible for them to continue to living on for hundreds of years threatening humanity.[5]

The Reverse Side of the World can be found 80 kilometers underground, right below the Spiritual Tomb of Albion.[7] Similar to the Age of Gods, which contained several subsets of worlds based on the country and mythology, the Reverse Side of the World is formed by several independent realms:

Britain

During the Middle AgesWP, Britain was considered special compared to the rest of the Human World. Unlike other countries connected by land, England was an island surrounded by water. Being separate from the continent made it harder for Mystery to leak out, causing its levels to closely resemble that of the Age of Gods even during the 5th Century.[2][36] This is also the reason why Richard I's Mystery is so high compared to his contemporaries.[36]

One of the main factors that defined the Age of Gods was its magical energy. During that time, the atmosphere was full of artificial mana known as True Ether. Furthermore, the mana was not only more more abundant than in modern day, but more potent as well.[24]

65 million years ago, before the great extinction caused by the impact of an asteroid in the Yucatán PeninsulaWP, the atmosphere was characterized for its incredible True Ether. Based on Quetzalcoatl's recreation of it during the Seventh Singularity, its magical energy density was much higher than in 500 AD Britain. According to Romani Archaman, its density was on par with a Reality Marble.[37]

During 12,000 BC, Sefar burned to ashes 80% of the Earth's surface.[38] She would have succeeded destroying the entire world had she not been destroyed by Excalibur.[39]

Ancient Finland

According to Finnish myth, the world was born from a World Egg. This egg laid by the divine bird Sotka broke open and glimmered under the primordial maiden IlmatarWP, and became the Heavens and the Earth.[40]

Ancient Greece

In Ancient Greece (古代ギリシャ, Kodaigirisha?), the Titan Atlas was responsible for carrying the world on his shoulders. As he served as its foundation, he was known as the World Titan (世界巨神, Sekai Kyoshin?).[41]

According to Indian mythology, the world was born from a World Egg.[42]

Ancient Mesopotamia

In Ancient Mesopotamia, the Heavens (天, Ten?), the Earth (地, Chi?),[Note 1] and the Underworld Kur were all situated on the same layer. Due to this, the underworld hidden beneath the surface wasn't a separate dimension, but rather, a physical place entities could physically travel to by digging a hole through the ground. Beneath the Underworld, lies the Abyss (深淵, Shin'en?), a primordial sea of nothingness that predates life itself. It is where Abzu and Tiamat came from. Enki was in charge of managing it, however, after his disappearance, it was left unsupervised. Gilgamesh claims that if someone fell inside it, they wouldn't be able to return because of it. It is also the place where Gilgamesh sought the Herb of Immortality.[6]

In Sumerian Mythology, the gods were given birth from the pairing of Abzu, who is the fresh water, and the Earth Mother Tiamat, who is the salt water. Afterwards, the gods killed their father and waged war against their mother.[32] At the end of the conflict, Tiamat was killed by Marduk. Then, the gods used her body as soil to create the land of Mesopotamian above the primordial sea.[37][32] Their most notable feat during the creation of the world was tearing Tiamat's corpse apart in two to form the Heavens and the Earth.[32] The god Enki is believed to be the quasi-deification of the process that split the Heavens and Earth apart. He was the god who performed the act of turning, smashing, and stabilizing the surface of the planet when it was still covered in a sea of gas and magma.[43] Gilgamesh's Ea, an Anti-World Noble Phantasm named after him, is structured into three cylinders representing the three realms because of it.[44]

In the myths, Tiamat was killed by the gods, however, the real events were slightly different. In actuality, Tiamat was "a womb that was discarded after the Genesis." She was turned into a “Mother Sea” and was put to use as a breeding ground to produce life, but once the Earth’s environment stabilized and the ecosystems were established, she was deemed unnecessary and exiled.[32][45] Her potential to create a new world was considered too dangerous for the primates who gained the phylogenetic tree,[45] so they chose to seal her away in the Imaginary Number Space, a place located in the Reverse Side of the World.[32][45]

Based on the records of the Seventh Singularity, which took place during 2655 BC, the mana in Ancient Mesopotamia's atmosphere was incredibly rich and dense. It is directly compared to Scáthach-Skadi's own magical energy, which was so dense that it almost made Mash Kyrielight pass out.[46] According to Leonardo da Vinci, it is also comparable to Olympus from the Atlantic Lostbelt.[47] However, it is heavily implied to be much weaker than that of the Cretaceus periodWP.[37]

Ancient Scandinavia

In Norse mythology (北欧神話, Hokou Shinwa?), Scandinavia used to be home to all type of gods, Giants, and other Mysteries, just like the Age of Gods in other areas.[3] During this time, the Norse World (北欧世界, Hokou Sekai?) was composed of Nine RealmsWP (九つの領域, Kokonotsu no Ryōiki?).[48] The World Tree Yggdrasil, an ash tree, served as the foundation of every realm.[46][49] It is also the place where Primordial Runes come from.[49] Originally, just two of the nine realms existed: Muspelheim, the realm of fire, and Niflheim, the realm of ice, through which an icy river of poison flowed. However, when these two realms collided, the poisonous frost was exposed to Muspelheim's heat, causing it to melt and grow into Ymir, the ancestor of all Norse giants.[48] After Odin killed Ymir, he used his corpse to create the rest of the world.[3] The known realms are:

  • Muspelheim (ムスペルヘイム, Musuperuheimu?): The land of flame where fire Giants live.[48][3] It is ruled by Surtr and implied to exist underground below Mt. KatlaWP.[3] While Muspelheim predates Ymir,[48] and therefore Surtr,[48][50] Surtr's true body is stated to be Muspelheim itself.[50]
  • Niflheim (ニヴルヘイム, Nivuruheimu?): The land of ice.[48]
  • Asgard[51]

A miniature sun exists inside the Norse Texture. Fenrir devours it during Ragnarök before fighting Odin.[50]

In 1000 B.C., Mt. KatlaWP erupted, initiating Ragnarök. This event, also known as the Twilight of the Gods, was a conflict that completely wiped out the gods, giants, and Phantasmal Species of the region, ultimately bringing Scandinavia's Age of Gods to an end. The eruption of Mt. Katla was, in fact, an invasion by fire giants from Muspelheim, which was instigated by Loki's mischief. Surtr, Muspelheim's ruler, led this invasion and laid waste to the land with his flaming sword. Once the gods and giants vanished from Scandinavia, the Age of Man began, a period during which most of the Mystery was lost and civilization advanced rapidly.[3]

The oldest known record of Mt. Katla erupting goes back to A.D. 930. The reason for this is that Surtr's Noble Phantasm destroyed the entire Scandinavian Texture, leaving no records of the volcano's eruption almost two centuries prior behind. However, there is some consensus on the Mage's Association, primarily the Meluastea faction in the Clock Tower's Department of Archaeology, that these events did take place. It wasn't until Chaldea visited the Scandinavian Lostbelt that they received concrete evidence.[3]

During 2017, the Alien God swapped the Earth's surface with CHALDEAS', causing all of Humanity and their infraestructures to disappear.[53] Area 51 is the only place in the entire planet's Texture to have survived the Bleaching,[54] however, that is solely because it existed inside CHALDEAS as well. The Area 51 that seemingly survived is not the original, but rather, the copy of CHALDEAS that was swapped alongside the rest of the planet's surface.[53] Furthermore, the Bleaching is considered a phenomenon equal to Luminary Arcueid's Texture confiscation ability.[55]

Once the planet's Texture was removed, the Alien God manifested seven Fantasy Trees on its surface. Their objective was to work as an Anchor to secure their respective Lostbelts in place. This is why destroying a Fantasy Tree usually causes the Lostbelt to disappear as well.[56] The only cases when this didn't happen were due to another entity assuming the trees' wedge-like role, as seen with Morgan and ORT in the British and South American Lostbelts respectively.[57]

Furthermore, while the Lostbelts are extensions of Pruned Events, they greatly differ from them in nature. A Lostbelt is the result of a Fantasy Tree selecting the point at which the event was pruned, and then, running a simulation of what would have happened if that Alternate History had been allowed to continue up to the modern day. By doing so, the trees effectively prove that history's existence, and the result is projected onto the planet itself. As such, the Fantasy Trees don't rewrite history, but rather, they create it. Ophelia Phamrsolone claims that not even a Chief God like Zeus that once ruled the entire planet could wield this kind of Authority on Earth in the present day, making her wonder what the Alien God's true nature actually is.[56]

Finally, Fantasy Trees contain their own pocket dimension within them, with a galaxy inside.[58] While it hasn't been confirmed, this is likely the place where the Fantasy Trees simulate the Lostbelt before projecting it on the Earth's surface.

Scandinavian Lostbelt

During the events of the Scandinavian Lostbelt, Surtr killed and devoured Fenrir after he left his guard down to swallow the sun. Having gained the wolf's power, Surtr attempted to connect his true body, Muspelheim itself, to the sky, through the hole left by the sun's vacancy. By doing so, he hoped to bring Ragnarök not only to the gods, but to the entire world. He destroyed each of the Norse world's nine realms, and attempted to burn down the very planet. However, his efforts were prevented by Odin, who managed to seal him away in time at the cost of his own life.[50]

In modern day, no legends of the World Tree Yggdrasil remain.[3]

Indian Lostbelt

In the Indian Lostbelt, Arjuna Alter uses Mahāpralaya to destroy and recreate the world over and over, cycling it through periods called Yuga cycleWP. Although similar in some ways to India’s original conception of yugas, they ultimately diverge pretty widely.[59] Ordinarily, it would take Arjuna hundreds, or rather thousands of years to complete each yuga cycle, however, thanks to gaining power he didn't have before from the Fantasy Tree, it became possible for him to shorten the length of each cycle to 10 days.[59][60] Arjuna doesn’t remake the world from scratch every time he resets the cycle clean. Instead, he treats the world like a model, adding new parts and removing old ones he considers "flawed" or "evil". The people there are not dying and being brought back to life afterward. Their souls are instead saved as data, and their memories are modified when they are put back into the new world. This is a much smaller-scale feat than creating the universe from nothing. However, Da Vinci states that it is still an undoubtedly absurd feat, made possible due to Arjuna having every Indian Divinity and support from the Fantasy Tree.[61] Although it takes Arjuna a long stretch of time to charge up his Noble Phantasm,[61] due to Arjuna breaking and remaking the world over and over, its space-time started to fall apart.[62] Since the world of the Indian Lostbelt gets leaner and leaner as more excess is shaved off with each yuga cycle, it requires a bit less magical energy to destroy it as the cycles go on.[63]

Atlantic Lostbelt

Just like in Ancient Greece, the Atlantic Lostbelt is split into three main layers: the world, the sky, and the heavens. This structure allows Kirschtaria Wodime to power his Grand Order/Anima Animusphere with the latter's boundless magical energy.[9] However, unlike Greece from Proper Human History, a fourth layer exists between Olympus and the sky: Atlantis. By embracing the capabilities of the Fantasy Tree Magellan, Zeus was able to manipulate space to the extent that he created the entire sea of Atlantis on top of Olympus, with the Great Pit guarded by Poseidon serving as the sole access point. While Olympus is the actual Texture covering the planet's surface, Atlantis lies on top of it, acting as camouflage:[47]

During the climax of the Atlantic Lostbelt, Kirschtaria Wodime had one of his Servants, the Titan Atlas, take control of Magellan. His plan was to have the Divine Spirit use the Fantasy Tree's magical energy to create new Textures. Through them, they would change the laws of the world so that all Humans gained new immortal bodies, hopefully putting an end to all suffering and discrimination. However, this new Age of Gods was prevented thanks to Senji Muramasa striking down Atlas in time.[41]

During the events of the British Lostbelt, Sefar succeeded destroying the World during 12,000 BC. Not a single landmass survived her destruction, and only an empty sea was left behind once she self-destructed.[7]

The Fairies of the Beginning killed Cernunnos, using his corpse as the foundation of a new British Isle. In time, as new fairies died, their own corpses were transformed into trees, rocks, and mountains integrated on top of him, eventually expanding the landmass into a proper island. Cernunnos' corpse remained hidden underground, and could only be accessed through the Great Pit.[7]

The reason the Lostbelt didn't disappear after Seyfert, its Fantasy Tree, died out in 1 AD is that Morgan took its place as the pillar sustaining the entire Faerie Kingdom. Once Morgan became the Queen, she used a huge tower Bounded Field known as the Wall at the Ends of the World to cover the entire British Lostbelt.[57][64] It is a wall of light that cuts off the Fairie Kingdom from the outside in the Fantasy Tree's absence.[64] According to Chaldea, it resembles the dimensional rift from the Ends of the World from the Sixth Singularity.[34]

South American Lostbelt

By swallowing the Fantasy Tree Quasar during his battle against Camazotz, ORT indirectly became the South American Lostbelt's Anchor.[65] After being defeated by Beast I: Lost and fusing with the Fantasy Tree, ORT's carcass became a seedling of the Fantasy Tree and the cornerstone of Mictlan.[66] Through the course of its own evolution, ORT changed its Reality Marble so that it could transform Earth's vegetation into Fantasy Trees through its endemic eroding Bounded Field.[67] As such, the Lostbelt can no longer be defeated by destroying ORT due to the numerous Fantasy Trees; even defeating ORT would be unlikely to cause the trees to stop functioning, and even one tree remaining will allow the Lostbelt to remain.[67][67]

When ORT reactivates for the first time, it activates its new Crystal Valley, causing gravitational fluctuations in the lowest layer and overwriting the Texture from the lowest layer on up. Nemo Marine states that the Space-time continuum transfer rate is -3.6 per second. The Reality Marble transforms all the plants of the earth into Fantasy Trees and creates an environment suitable for itself. A galactic hell created in the depths of the earth, overwriting the South American Lostbelt with a new one titled Sea of Fantasy Trees Travelogue: ORT Xibalba (空想樹海紀行 オルト・シバルバー, Kūsōju kai kikō Oruto Shibarubā?), alternatively The One Who Rules the Planet (惑星を統べるもの, Wakusei o suberu-mono?). The greatest, most terrible Lostbelt, with Lostbelt readings being completely immeasurable, and capable of deploying Fantasy Tree Seeds stronger than any Chaldea had encountered previously, each Seed at an estimated danger level of B+ rank. [67]

Moon Cell

In the World of Fate/EX, the Moon is formed by a supercomputer known as the Moon Cell. The Moon Cell's Core is a processor that operates the Moon, observes the Earth, and stores the data about the past and future.[68][69][70] Furthermore, it observes and computes all possible outcomes every second, which grants it the title of the Eye of God.[71] It serves as a massive database of Humanity recording their habits, history, ideas, and even their Souls. Not only does it faithfully simulate all life on Earth, but it provides a definite prediction of the future as well.[68][69] On the other hand, all the calculated data is stored as Light using Photonic Crystals, resulting in tens of millions of Light-years worth of information being kept inside the Core.[70] As such, if someone browsed through the vast records of Earth simulations stored in the core, they would undoubtedly find a version of Earth with the future they wish for.[71] The Moon Cell's power can even rewrite the Laws of PhysicsWP,[70] so it would be able to change the World itself to suit the desired outcome of the user. This is the reason why the Moon Cell takes the Holy Grail's role in the Moon Holy Grail War.[71]

The Moon Cell is divided into two sections: the Near Side, the part that faces the Earth, and the Far Side, the side that can't be observed.[72][73] As such, they are regarded as the top and bottom, each in the shape of a half-moon:[73]

  • Near Side: The Near Side is the Moon Cell's “additional memory.”[70] It takes the shape of a virtual Spiritron World called SE.RA.PH,[74] which is the size of the Solar System.[75] Furthermore, it is divided into 7 layers.[68][69] The first level, the surface of the Moon, is accessible by even normal Hackers. However, going beyond the inner second level is difficult for non-Wizards. It isn't possible to look into the abyss without converting the body's data into virtual spiritrons using Soul Transference.[68][69] Furthermore, only those who are deemed worthy by the Moon Cell can reach the final level and the core. As such, Masters are forced to compete in the seven successive rounds that compose the Moon Holy Grail War to have their wish granted.
  • Far Side: The Far Side is an Imaginary Number Space,[72][73][76] a higher-dimensional information space made from light.[76] Due to this, it operates using Recorded Time, unlike the Near Side, which uses Perceived Time just like the Observable Universe. Unlike a conventional Time Loop, the Far Side exists outside of Time, which means a person cannot change the future outside of it no matter how many iterations of the same day they undergo.[76] For these reasons, the Moon Cell uses the Far Side as a dumping ground. It continuously takes in data categorized as malignant information――that which is nothing but harmful to humans as well as intelligent lifeforms in general.[72][73] Overall, it is a territory so taboo that even the “Eye” in the Moon Cell's Core is forbidden to enter.[72]

Between the Near Side's seventh layer and the Moon Cell's core lies a virtual space. Trespassing it is considered impossible, as it would take 404 years moving at the Speed of Light to do so. The only thing that can serve as a bridge across the borderline to connect the Moon Cell’s core to the normal space is the arena that the Moon Cell makes for the victor of the Holy Grail War.[78]

Inner World

The term Inner World (内面, Naimen?) is used to describe a person's unique and deeply-engraved Mental Landscape (心象風景, Shinshō Fūkei?). It is possible for a magus to temporarily project their inner world and overwrite a section of the real world as a Reality Marble.

It is a common occurrence for magi that are transferring Magic Crests to enter each others Inner Worlds during the procedure. However, this is not physically occurring, and is only mental. A "reverse Reality Marble" situation where the two participants enter each other's Inner Worlds and their physical bodies are taken with them has only been reported three or four times in the history of the Clock Tower.[85]

World Egg

A World Egg (世界卵, Sekai Tamago?), also known as a Principle: Texture Seed (テクスチャルールの種(原理), Tekusucharūru no Tane(Genri)?) by The Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors,[86] is a Thaumaturgical Theory that describes how a Texture or World can be housed in a container called Egg.[87] The reason it is called World Egg is because, in Alchemy, an egg is considered to be the hidden meaning of the world as well as the Soul.[88]

According to some mythologies, the world came from an egg.[42][40] Only once that living things started being born, did the world emerge as well.[42] Similarly, Archetype: Earth's alive self is stated to be a World Egg. However, when summoned as a MoonCancer-class Servant, she loses this status in exchange for gaining a Saint Graph. Due to this, her Ultimate One Skill is ranked down to D-rank, preventing her World Backup from increasing her Parameters and Life Scale more than one or two ranks.[89]

A Reality Marble is the result of a Magus switching their mindscape/Inner World with the real World while keeping the boundary the same. The size of the Self and the World is switched, enclosing the World in a small Egg while the Self is expanded.[87] During the events of the Tunguska Special Territory, Taigong Wang contained Tamamo Vitch Koyanskaya inside a World Egg to launch her into outer space.[42]

Kinoko Nasu stated that the concept of "Textures" was originally made for the Tsukihime Remake, to set up a situation where the entire concept of surface-level civilization would be absolutely negated. It was instead introduced in Fate/Grand Order, with the Sixth Singularity essentially being a repurposing of the concept of Event Storage.[92]

    Reverse Side of the World [Others]
    The place where the evil dragon Fafnir finally arrived at the very end of the novels. The Phantasmal Races, having understood that the Age of the Gods was over, ceded the Earth’s surface to humans and moved to this place. The world where humans currently live (including the laws of physics) is like a fabric that thinly extends across the surface of the planet. Beneath that fabric exist the planet known as “Earth”. On the other hand, the Reverse Side of the World is the world as it was before humans lived there… that is, the fabric of the era where Phantasmal Races strode the land. In other words, the Earth is the bottommost layer of the planet, and it is covered by the “Reverse Side of the World”—the place where the laws of the “world” as it once was reigns, and covering that is the “Present World”.
    In the Reverse Side of the World, the Holy Grail cannot activate its function of “using the Third Sorcery”. In the first place, that function was for the sake of granting Shirou Kotomine’s wish. In other words, it is programmed to target humans, and doesn’t count Phantasmal Races as valid targets.
    Jeanne d’Arc is a Heroic Spirit who, from the start, lost her human body long ago. Because of that, the chances of her reaching the Reverse Side weren’t completely zero… However, that is merely the kind of “not zero” like, as a comparison, somehow managing to pass through a wall with the tunnel effect, but the Throne where Heroic Spirits Exist is cut off from the time axis, so she effectively had an infinite number of attempts to try.

    Though this was as a severe blow to the thaumaturgical world, escalation in the complexity of knowledge and technology did likewise confer certain benefits.​

    An individual from 1011~931 BC.
    The Third King of Ancient Israel
    The great king who made Ancient Israel prosper the most.
    Employing 72 demon gods, and also the first individual who build the Temple of Israel.
    He performed excellent political measures as a king, but beside that also have many anecdotes as a magus.

    Level 1 Bond
    Solomon married with the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh, but it has been said that, later, God appeared while he was dreaming on his bed and said "you are qualified. Speak your wishes. I'll shall grant it".
    Rather than gold or political power, he sought wisdom more than anything. God was satisfied. For that answer itself was proof that he had the qualifications to attain "true wisdom".
    When he woke up, Solomon had ten rings inserted on both hands. It was the proof of the wise man recognized by God. Later, it would be called Ring of Solomon, the source of the magecraft that employs angels and demons.

    Chaldea’s heroic spirit summoning; its first successful example.
    The Grand magus that participated and achieved victory on the Holy Grail War of Fuyuki, secretly summoned by Marisbilly Animusphere.

    The wish he entrusted to the Holy Grail was “to become human”.
    Through the power of the Holy Grail, he did not “incarnated as a heroic spirit”, but instead was reborn as a new human that had no relation to King Solomon.

    Such was Romani Archman.
    A quite ordinary young man, who wished to live as an “individual” that did not have anything of peculiar.

    ...however.
    The man who began his second life was unable to know the “happiness, fulfillment as a human” that was never given to him in his previous lifetime.
    Because the future of “mankind’s demise”, which he caught a glimpse of right before becoming human, stole any kind of freedom from him.

    • Territory Creation: A

    Creates an advantageous encampment to oneself as a magus.
    Having built the Temple of Israel, he is regarded as a greatest authority in regards to Territory Creation.

    • High-Speed Aria: C

    A technique to hasten magic aria. Despite being fast, sometimes he makes a mistake due his worrywart nature and ruins everything.

    • Item Construction: C

    Produces devices that carry magical power. Maybe because he has specialized in contracts, his Item Construction ability is of average level.

    Introverted, self-assured and passive.
    A laid-back king, without a hint of seriousness.
    The gist of his personality is “self-assured”, but this is simply the power to “no read the mood”.
    Thus, he is merely making statements on a self-assured manner, and his nature is that of a chicken. Although serious, he is not earnest and is constantly living at 80% power.
    He properly ascertained people, properly established laws and properly governed the country. Despite lacking in vigor, he was loved and respected by the masses as a wise, gentle king who was full of love.

    ...yet, none of those traits came from Solomon’s own will.
    Having been ordained as a king from the moment he was born, Solomon had no choice but to hear the voice of God and act accordingly.
    His psyche is dispassionate and (having been deprived of the freedom to sympathize with the joys and sorrows of people) inhuman.

    After becoming human, Solomon finally acquired the human nature called romance.
    At his roots, he is a realist and a pessimist.
    Despite uttering wishful thinkings as a mood-maker, he seems somewhat shameless due to inwardly thinking of them as pipe dreams.
    While he likes humans, because of his chicken side that “does not want to see something sad”, he maintains a superficial socializing with anyone. In exchange, he can get along with anyone.
    An archetypal “everybody’s friend(1)”.
    He has a bad habit of, when caught in a dilemma, ending up choosing to either “stick to observing without making any decisions” or “running away” so that “the status quo is preserved”.
    Since Roman himself is reflecting on such weakness of his, if someone in his surroundings were to just say a word - “Please, do your best” - he will somehow get a hold of himself and show a decisive judgment fitting of the king of magecraft.

    Incidentally, because the first impression that any Servant ends up getting about Roman is “I don’t get the reason, but he is at fault here”, they unconsciously complained at him.
    The only ones who did not find fault at him were those who were no Servants, crackpots and Berserkers that do not perceive evil as evil.

    The first Noble Phantasm of King Solomon.
    Rather than Goetia, this is a Noble Phantasm possessed by the true King Solomon.
    A poem of farewell in which he relinquishes of all the exploits accomplished, all the miracles performed, all the magecrafts established until then.

    Upon invoking his Noble Phantasm, Solomon sends all the graces bestowed by God back to heavens and loses the eyes that gaze at the world.
    The result is King Solomon’s death.
    From another angle, this also means the self-destruction of the 72 demons.
    It can also be described as a safety device prepared by Solomon, in order to destroy “magecraft” when it becomes an evil for humans in the distant future.
    When this is employed as a Noble Phantasm, all traces of King Solomon are extinguished from this world.

    人間好きではあるが『悲しい事は見たくない』というチキンなので、誰とも表面的な付き合いに留めてしまう。 そのかわりに誰とも仲良くなれる。
    典型的な八方美人。
    窮地に陥ると『現状を維持するため』に『何も決断せず観察に徹する』あるいは『撤退』を選んでしまう悪癖がある。
    ロマン自身そんな自分の弱さを反省している為、ただ一言、周りにいる誰かに“頑張ってください”と言われればなんとか踏みとどまり、魔術の王に相応しい英断を見せる。

    The great king who made Ancient Israel prosper the most.
    Employing 72 demon gods, and also the first individual who build the Temple of Israel.
    He performed excellent political measures as a king, but beside that also have many anecdotes as a magus.

    Solomon married with the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh, but it has been said that, later, God appeared while he was dreaming on his bed and said "you are qualified. Speak your wishes. I'll shall grant it".
    Rather than gold or political power, he sought wisdom more than anything. God was satisfied. For that answer itself was proof that he had the qualifications to attain "true wisdom".

    Fair even after changing clothes, the magical power that rains incessantly over the surface turns into glittering stars and bestow damage to enemies.
    The concerned person feels very happy and fabulous, but this is a big nuisance for those on the surface.

    Capable of fully managing the Heavenly Boat Maanna, Ishtar’s Riding skill is extraordinary, on a whole different level than that of humans.
     Of course, just because it is “extraordinary”, that does not mean it is “better・faster” than humans. At any rate, it is “amazing in many different ways”. An Uruk Drive that no longer cares much about things such as time and space.

    A skill that changed the Great Crown into a swimsuit.
    The Great Crown was something that would only affect Ishtar herself, but this can be spread throughout the entire party. In exchange, the output is low.

    A goddess that breaks (in many different ways) the summer.
    A downsized version of Goddess Metamorphosis.

    The bow that Archer Ishtar uses is the detached prow section of the Heavenly Boat Maanna, but this time, she changed the “oar” section of the Heavenly Boat into a scooter and is employing it as a vehicle. Its outward appearance is just like that of a modern scooter, but its performance is naturally goddess-class. It flies on the sky and even undergoes warp.
    An enigmatic creature is constantly squirming about by Ishtar’s feet, but Ishtar maintains a “no comment” policy in regards to said creature.

    Although she is keeping an eye on the Master that saved Uruk as a hero with a promising future, there are also times when she tilts her head in confusion thinking “how can such a pedestrian become a hero?” She is perceiving him/her as a curious human.
    On this occasion, she employed him/her as a staff member of the Ishtar Cup out of expectations for his/her popularity (having the trust of the Servants), but...?

    Summer festival, Ishtar Cup.
    That was a great ceremony for the sake of resurrecting Ishtar’s familiar, the Bull of Heaven Gugalanna.
    After having her reputation completely ruined by losing Gugalanna on the day when a calamity struck the Mesopotamian world, Ishtar probably has been vigilantly waiting for a favorable chance to get revenge.

    And the result is what we see at this time.
    I will say it again. Will she ever learn her lesson?

    The Goddess Ishtar converted the precious ritual tools she secretly borrowed from the treasury of Babylon into a Holy Grail, pasted the texture of Venus over the land of Connacht with its power, and then planned to create Gugalanna once more by having powerful Heroic Spirits offer their gratitude (race) over the earth.
    Remodeling the Ishtar Temple into a giant prana resources accumulation circuit(1) was also a part of this.     とはジグラットの上で日光浴をしていた王様からのコメント。

    本人はとてもハッピーかつファビュラスな雰囲気だが、地上はほんと大迷惑。

    大王冠はイシュタル本人にのみ作用するものだったが、こちらはパーティ全員に行き渡る。そのかわり出力は低い。

    夏を(いろんな意味で)破壊する女神。
    「女神変生」のダウン版。

    アーチャーのイシュタルが使う弓は天舟マアンナの船首部分を取り外したものであるが、今回は天舟の「櫂」の部分をスクーターに変化させ、乗り物としている。スクーターは現代のスクーターそのものの外見だが、とうぜん、性能は女神クラス。空も飛ぶしワープもする。
    イシュタルの足元には謎の生物がもそもそと動いているが、イシュタルはこの生物に関してはノー・コメントを貫いている。

    ウルクを救ったマスターを将来有望な勇者として目をつけているものの、「なんでこんな平凡なのが勇者になるんだろう?」と首をかしげる事もあるとか。不思議な人間、と捉えている。
    今回はその人望(サーヴァントたちに信頼されている)を見込んで彼/彼女をイシュタルカップのスタッフに雇用するが……?

    夏の祭典、イシュタルカップ。
    それはイシュタルの持つ使い魔・天の牡牛グガランナを復活させる為の大儀式だった。
    メソポタミア世界を襲った災害の日にグガランナを無くし、面目を丸つぶれにされたイシュタルは虎視眈々とリベンジの時を待っていたのだろう。

    そして、その結果が今回のこれである。
    もう一度言うぞ。懲りるという事を知らないのか。

    女神イシュタルはバビロンの蔵からこっそり拝借した貴重な祭具を聖杯に変換し、その力でコノートの土地に金星のテクスチャを張り、力ある英霊たちが大地に感謝を捧げる(レースをする)事でグガランナをもう一度作ろうと目論んだ。
    イシュタル神殿を巨大な魔力リソース集積回路に作り替えたのもその一環。イシュタルQPS(クォンタムピース・パワー・システム)は人々はおろか英霊たちからも魔力を吸い上げ、自らのものとする悪夢の集金装置である。QPが溜まれば溜まるほどイシュタルの神格がアップしていく。その所業、まさに邪神の中の邪神。

    The holy spear Rhongomynyad makes the "pillar of light" that fasten together the outer layer of the world as its main body. Thanks to the existence of the thirteen restraints that are endowed with the same processes as the "the holy sword of the planet that saves the world", this is barely in a condition where it can take shape as a Noble Phantasm.

    “Clock Tower”, the Highest Institute of Magic
    The Clock Tower, the core of the Association and in fact what could also be said to be the Association itself, is based in the British museum of London. Magi from all over the world gather and devote themselves day and night to the study of magic, while at the same time, are busily tripping over and being tripped over by other factions and competing for power and budget. The organization is anything but harmonious and has a complicated bizarre structure, but the magical research there is without doubt the leading edge.

    Below the building, there is the magi’s research area which includes studies and archives. It is only a venerable museum to normal people of course, but at the deepest part, there is a special area (prison?) called the “Bottom of the Bridge” where the Association confines many sealing designated magi deemed to be “dangerous because their talents were too outstanding.” Also, apparently the Gazamy the “Evil Spook”, treated as the number one disaster in the Association, is locked up at the bottom of the London tower.

    The person of highest position in the Clock Tower, the “Director” has been the same person for the 2000 years since the founding of the organization, and because of this is thought to be something more than human.

    The organization handling patents relating to magic is also the Clock Tower, and the current finances of the Tohsaka family is being by covered by the patent royalties that are being transferred to their account.

    Ranks of Magi
    A magus is given a “rank” that matches his ability. The highest is said to be Crown (Grand), but details on it are unknown. Note that Lord El-melloi II, lecturer at the Clock Tower who has produced many Grands among his pupils, is stuck in the mediocre “fourth rank” for some reason.

    Color ranks
    Separate from the normal ranks, color-based titles are given to those that have become special.
    The highest are red, blue, and yellow based on the three primary colors. After that, there are the combined colors of orange, purple, green, black, and so on. The further down you go, the less your rank is. Note that there is no rule about only one person for each color. The Association will, without any stinginess, award a color to you if you’re a magus of great stature or one with an unusual talent.

    Sealing Designation Enforcers
    If you receive a “sealing designation”, you will be confined and even your magic research will be gone, not to mention your freedom. Thus, the person given that designation will of course desperately resist that and won’t stop fighting. To forcefully retrieve magi who were qualified enough to be given a sealing designation, the Association dispatches “Enforcers.” There are around 30 of them total, and Bazett is one of them.

    Lords, consuming their time in power struggles
    In the Magic Association, no rather, the Clock Tower, there are a number of families that hold sway. They are called Lords and are the objects of fear. There are three major families of Lords and about 20 families of relatives. These families are well-known even in normal society. The history of one family is at shortest 500 years and the longest is over 2000 years. They have been plotting and plotting since a staggeringly long past.

    The Sea of Estray, together with the Atlas Institute, is an organization called the original form of the Magic Association.
    Among the founders of the Magic Association, there had been many heretical magi who were exiled from the Sea of Estray and the Atlas Institute and had no place left to go.
    The base of the Sea of Estray is in Northern Europe. This base, with the nickname of the Moving Stone Coffin, is itself a moving mountain range. Normally it is wandering at sea as its name suggests, but sometimes it comes up on dry land.
    It seems they research mainly body alteration, but the specifics are unknown.

    *What is an alchemist?
    One who studies the flow of matter. That is what an alchemist is. The alchemists of the Clock Tower created products like the homunculi of the Einzbern by merging with western magery.
    However, the ultimate goal of the alchemists of the Atlas Institute is set even closer to the original ideology, as the "transformation of events". The often spoke-up "transformation of base metal to gold" in alchemy is, to the members of the Atlas Institute, mere "transformation of matter" and is nothing more than a primitive art far removed from their ideals. Their alchemy is an advancement of the metallurgy of ancient Egypt, the root of the discipline, and has not been influenced by western magery like the alchemy that the Clock Tower magi handle.

    Gilgamesh's final Noble Phantasm which reveals creation--the beginning of everything.
    The severing of space which comes from the Sword of Rupture, Ea, the sword crowned with the name of a god from Mesopotamian mythology.
    The god, Ea, is believed to be the quasi-deification of the power of the planet which turned, smashed, and stabilized the surface of the earth when it was still covered in gas and seas of magma, during the primordial stage of the earth.
    Many gods began building nations after the the primordial earth was stabilized into a world where living creatures could live, but Ea is a god who performed the act of building of planet before that.
    Gilgamesh's sword, which is crowned with Ea's name, changes space itself by agitating space-time through the rotation of three layers of giant power fields.
    It's true power is not something to be used against a single living creature but against the world. Even among the many Noble Phantasms possessed by Servants, it is one considered to be at the top, the sword "which tore apart the world."

    King of Heroes
    Another name for Gilgamesh. It does not mean a king who is a hero but is used with the implication that he is the king over heroes.
    The story of Gilgamesh, is who mankind's oldest hero, is copied within the mythologies of all the countries of the world. The origin of all myths, the model on which heroes are based...calling him such would not be an exaggeration.
    More or less, the heroes of various myths are derived from Gilgamesh's legend. As such, Gilgamesh possesses the prototypes of the Noble Phantasms that heroes carry... the original treasures from before every legend was arranged. Though it may be a paradox, unless the original, Gilgamesh, possesses it, it cannot be handed down as the Noble Phantasm possessed by the later heroes who were derived from him.
    When humanity was still small. Within the treasury of the king, who governed his kingdom and lived in as much luxury as he desired, was collected every single treasure in the world.
    Inside that treasury, there is the treasured swords that saved later heroes, and there is preserved the cursed swords that stole the lives of heroes.
    The reason that Gilgamesh is called the King of Heroes is here. Noble Phantasms are primarily one to a any single hero. Not only does he possess an approximately infinite amount of them, he also owns the "legends" that other heroes are wake against, as if it were natural. It should be impossible for an average hero to cross swords with him.
    As a Heroic Spirit, he is an absolute warrior in battles against Heroic Spirits. While there are several heroes who hold the title of king, such as the King of Knights and the King of Conquerors, but in regards to being crowned with the title "King of All Heroes," in all of heaven and earth, he is the only one.

    Friend
    As he became a young man, Gilgamesh's violent disposition only grew. Of course the people of Uruk, but even the gods who dispatched him, were greatly perplexed by his violence.
    "Gilgamesh is not fulfilling his original role." "That insolent creature needs someone to admonish him."
    Having come to that conclusion, the gods sent a single life to the surface. Its name was Enkidu. It was a person made by a god and given her blood, the same as Gilgamesh.
    It had neither a sex nor a fixed form. Enkidu, being made from clay by a god, was "Uruk's greatest weapon," able to change its shape at will. According to the god which was its mother's will, Enkidu confronted Gilgamesh before the temple of Uruk. With their exchanging of blows like a storm, their battle occurred within the city.
    After that fierce fighting, they both collapsed to the ground without consideration for where, praised each other's valor, and became peerless friends.
    Gilgamesh, who had been without equal, for the first time found someone he could call "a friend."
    After that, while his vainglorious attitude did not change, Gilgamesh, remonstrated by Enkidu, softened his tyranny.
    Gilgamesh, who had acquired someone who understood him in Enkidu, defeated the guardian of the forest and beast of the gods, Humbaba, and, as the most excellent king on the earth, took possession of every single treasure.
    At this time, the dazzlingly powerful Gilgamesh was an existence that not even the gods could avert their eyes from.
    A goddess fell in LOVE with this Gilgamesh. It was the goddess of fertility Ishtar. She proposed to Gilgamesh, but he quickly refused. Because he knew that how whimsical and cruel a witch who rendered men useless Ishtar was.
    Ishtar, enraged by Gilgamesh's insults, as her revenge, clung to her father, the god Anu, in tears and released the greatest of divine beasts, "the Bull of Heaven," onto the earth.
    "The Bull of Heaven" is a disaster of extreme magnitude clad in storms. When it appeared, a seven-year famine and destruction occurred on earth. In other words, the downfall of Uruk.
    Against this divine beast which none could match, Gilgamesh and Enkidu worked together to stand against it and repelled it splendidly. Once again, the goddess lost face. Naturally, Isthar's rage had not lessened, and she requested death for either of the two of them from the gods. Because for one with a human body to kill the beast of the gods was a sin.
    Ishtar's wish was granted, and one of the two, Enkidu, who was created by the gods, unable to defy that decree, slowly weakened and died.
    ...The sole person who understood the king, Enkidu. Just how large a shadow his loss cast over Gilgamesh is told in his lifetime afterward.
    Enkidu is an autonomous weapon created from the clay of the gods. In SE.RA.PH. terms, he is close to an AI. As a result of being complete from birth, he neither grows nor evolves. He could take various forms as needed, but it is said his usual appearance was that of a 16-year-old person who could be seen as a girl or a boy with long hair which faintly shines a light-green color.

    02 - 英雄王
    ギルガメッシュの異名。
    英雄の王、という意味ではなく、英雄たちの王、という意味合いで用いられる。
    人類最古の英雄であるギルガメッシュの物語は、世界各国の神話に模倣された。
    あらゆる神話の原典、英雄たちのモデル……と言っても過言ではないだろう。
    大なり小なり、様々な神話の英雄たちはギルガメッシュ伝説から派生したものだ。
    であるなら、ギルガメッシュは英雄たちが持つ宝具の原型……各神話ごとにアレンジされる前の、
    大本の宝を所持している事になる。
    逆説ではあるが、原典であるギルガメッシュが持っていなければ、発展系であるその後の英雄たちの手に
    宝具は伝わらないからである。

    まだ人類が少なかった頃。王国を治め、贅沢を欲しいままにした王の蔵には
    世界中のありとあらゆる財宝が集められた。
    その蔵には後の英雄たちを助けた宝剣の原典があり、英雄たちの命を奪った魔剣の原典も貯蔵されている。
    ギルガメッシュが英雄王と呼ばれる由縁はここにある。
    宝具とは本来、ひとりの英雄にひとつのもの。
    それをほぼ無限に所持しているばかりか、彼は英雄たちが苦手とする“伝説”さえ当然のように所持しているのだ。
    並の英霊に太刀打ちできる筈がない。
    英霊にして、対英霊戦における絶対強者。
    騎士たちの王、征服する王、と王の称号を持つ英雄は数あれど、“全ての英雄たちの王”の名をいただくのは
    天地においてこの男だけである。

    03 - 友人
    青年になったギルガメッシュの暴力性は増すばかりだった。
    ウルクの民はもちろん、彼を遣わせた神々でさえ、ギルガメッシュの横暴さに困り果てていた。
    “ギルガメッシュは本来の役割を果たせていない”
    “あの不埒者を戒めるモノが必要だ―――”
    そう結論した神々は、ひとつの生命を地上に送りこんだ。
    名をエルキドゥ。
    ギルガメッシュと同じく、神の血を与えられた神造の人である。

    ソレには性別はなく、また定まったカタチもない。
    神に作られた粘土であるエルキドゥは自在に姿を変える“ウルク最強の兵器”だった。
    エルキドゥは母である神に従い、ウルクの神殿の前でギルガメッシュと対峙した。
    両者は嵐のように刃を交え、戦いは都市中におよんだ。
    激闘の末、両者はどちらともなく地に倒れ、相手の武勇を褒め称え、無二の友人となった。
    対等の存在がいなかったギルガメッシュにとって、はじめて“友”と呼べるものが出来たのである。

    以後、ギルガメッシュはその独尊ぶりは変わらずとも、エルキドゥに諫められ圧政を軟化させた。
    エルキドゥという理解者を得たギルガメッシュは森の番人、神の獣フンババを下し、
    地上で最も優れた王としてあらゆる財を手中に収める。
    この時、ギルガメッシュは眩しく強大で、神々でさえ目を逸らせない存在だった。
    そのギルガメッシュに、一人の女神が恋をした。
    豊穣の女神イシュタルである。
    彼女はギルガメッシュに求婚するが、ギルガメッシュはこれをあっさりと跳ね除ける。
    イシュタルがどれほど移り気で残忍で、男を駄目にする魔女かを知っていたが故だった。
    イシュタルはギルガメッシュに侮辱されたと激怒し、報復として父であるアヌ神に泣きつき、
    最強の神獣“天の牡牛”を地上に放ってしまった。
    “天の牡牛”は嵐をまとう超高層の災害である。
    これが現れた時、地上には七年間の飢饉と破壊が訪れる。
    即ち、ウルクの滅亡である。
    この、敵う者のいない神の獣にギルガメッシュとエルキドゥは協力して立ち向かい、見事撃退する。
    女神の面目は再度丸つぶれにされたのだ。
    イシュタルの怒りは当然収まらず、彼女は両名どちらかの死を神々に求めた。
    人の身で神の獣を殺した事が罪だからである。
    イシュタルの願いは聞き届けられ、両名のうち一人、神に作られたエルキドゥは
    その命に逆らう事が出来ずゆっくりと衰弱死した。
    ……王のただ一人の理解者、エルキドゥ。
    彼を失った事がギルガメッシュにどれほどの影を落としたのかは、後の彼の生涯が語っている。

    エルキドゥは神の粘土で作られた自律型兵器だ。
    SE.RA.PHで言うのならAIに近い。
    生まれた時から完成していたため、成長も進化もしない。
    必要に応じて様々な姿に変化したが、基本は緑色に淡く輝く髪を長く伸ばした、
    少女とも少年とも取れぬ十六歳ほどのヒト型だったという。

    Skills

    01 - Divinity [B (A+)]
    A judgement regarding whether or not one's body possess the property of being divine.
    Though he possesses the greatest rank of divine spirit aptitude, Gilgamesh himself hates the gods, so the rank has gone down.

    02 - Golden Rule [A]
    Not the bodily golden ratio, but one's destiny in regard to how much money follows one around in life.
    At rank A, it's possible to call it a soul of gold. With this Goldy attitude, even while living like a multimillionaire, he won't have any money troubles during his life.

    03 - Collector [EX]
    The ability to acquire items of higher quality. It's the good luck of frequently obtaining even rare items, but because it only applies to Gilgamesh himself, it does not bless the Master.
    Gilgamesh is a collector of treasure. "I collected all the treasures of the earth," is Gilgamesh's favorite phrase, but that is not a metaphor. He collected and stored away a sample of all the technology that was developed during his age and sealed them.
    That which Gilgamesh stored, rather than being treasure, is "the origin of the intelligence of mankind" itself. If it does not exist in Gilgamesh's treasury, then it is "something produced by a new breed of humanity, according a completely new concept," "something made from the technology of the culture born from the intelligent life from another heavenly body," one of the two.
    For that reason, of course he has airplanes and submarines. The desires of the people from before Christ are not different, and it would not do for the crafts of ancient times when magic was in good health to be inferior to the crafts of the modern age. People generally realize the "tools of hope" that they dream of, and each time that occurs, it ended with them being confiscated by the king's hand.
    The offensive skill Gilgamesh uses, "Gate of Babylon," shoots the treasure he collected like this like arrows. The gate to the golden capital opens, and his treasures are shot out from his treasure cellar.
    This is a digression, but after the Noble Phantasms that are shot out are used, regardless of how far it has gone, it turns to Gilgamesh's treasure cellar. "Hah. I possess a Noble Phantasm which excels at the task of retrieval," says the person himself.

    01 - 神性 [B(A+)]
    その体に神性属性があるかないかの判定。
    最大の神霊適正を持つのだが、ギルガメッシュ本人が神を嫌っているのでランクダウンしている。

    02 - 黄金律 [A]
    身体の黄金比ではなく、人生において金銭がどれほどついて回るかの宿命。
    ランクAともなれば黄金の魂と言える。
    大富豪でもやっていける金ピカぶりで、一生金銭には困らない。

    03 - コレクター [EX]
    より品質の良いアイテムを取得する才能。
    レアアイテムすら頻繁に手に入れる幸運だが、ギルガメッシュ本人にしか適用されない為、
    マスターに恩恵はない。

    ギルガメッシュは財宝のコレクターでもある。
    “地上の宝はすべて集めた”がギルガメッシュの口癖だが、それは比喩でも何でもない。
    彼は彼の時代において発生した、あらゆる技術の雛形を集め、納め、これを封印した。
    ギルガメッシュが貯蔵したものは財宝というより、“人類の知恵の原典”そのものである。
    英雄王の蔵にないものがあるとすれば、それは“新人類が生み出す、まったく新しい概念によるもの”
    “他天体の知的生命体による文明技術によるもの”のどちらかとなる。
    なので飛行機も潜水艦も当然完備。
    西暦以前であれ人の欲望は変わらず、また、魔力が健在だった頃の古代の技術は
    近代の技術に劣ってはいなかった。
    人が夢見る“希望の道具”はたいてい実現し、その都度、王の手によって接収されていた訳だ。
    ギルガメッシュが用いる攻撃スキル、『ゲートオブバビロン』はこうして集めた財宝を
    矢として射出するもの。
    黄金の都に通じる扉を開き、彼の宝物庫から財宝を撃ちだしているのである。
    余談ではあるが、撃ち出された宝具は使用後、ほどなくしてギルガメッシュの宝物庫に戻っていく。
    「フッ。回収用の優れた宝具があるのだ」
    とは本人の弁。

    The demigod king who ruled over the Sumerian city-state of Uruk in the time before Christ. Not just a legend but also a real person, the king written of in mankind's oldest epic, "The Epic of Gilgamesh."
    Possessing great divinity as two-thirds god and one-third human, without anyone to match him in this world, he was perfected as a transcendent being who attained everything in the world.
    In his childhood, he was adored by the people as the ideal ruler, but as he grew, possible due to being treated as almighty, his consideration for the people waned, and he came to rule Uruk with absolute power.
    However, simply being oppressive does not make one a tyrant, he made Uruk prosper properly, found a friend he could speak with, and in personally subjugating the phenomena that would harm the people, that heroic quality cannot be doubted.
    He is the heroic figure who defeated the bull so large it was cloaked in the heavens and rendered the civilization of this fortified Sumerian city unshakeable.
    The following is historical fact, which differs from "The Epic of Gilgamesh." According to a fragment of an inscription found in an archaeological excavation of the historical ruins of this Sumerian city, Uruk was a city-state that existed on the shore of Persian south of Mesopotamia, and he was the fifth king of that city's first dynasty. It obtained assets through ocean trade and subjugated the region of southern Mesopotamia. He was victorious in the fight against Aga, king of the Kish who controlled the north made strong the city-states of Sumer. However, as a result the reckless deforestation of the woods due to the building of ships, their agricultural land was destroyed.
    For that reason, Gilgamesh, seeking the giant tree, the Lebanon Cedar, launched an expedition all the way to far-away Phoenicia (modern day Lebanon), fought against the people of woods, called Humbaba, gained victory against them, and brought that massive tree back with him.

    According to "The Epic of Gilgamesh," it seems that Gilgamesh, after the loss of Enkidu, fell into depression, his previous vigor gone.
    The fact that Enkidu, whose strength had not been inferior to Gilgamesh's own, could die, was the shock that Gilgamesh received.
    Gilgamesh, who was tormented over anxiety of death, finally set off on a trip to the realm of the death in search of perpetual youth and eternal life.
    It was said that there lived a sage who had lived since placing a large amount of animals upon an ark before the coming of a deluge that assailed the earth.
    This sage was said to be the only one of the earth escape from death and live until the present. Seeking him, Gilgamesh set across wilderness alone.
    At the end of that long journey and many hardships, Gilgamesh finally managed to reach the realm of the dead. There, he met the sage, Utnapishtim, spoke with him, and in the end, Gilgamesh attained the spirit herb of perpetual youth and eternal life.
    Gilgamesh came to rise above the "death" that had taken even Enkidu.
    His heart's desire fulfilled, during his triumphant return to Uruk, Gilgamesh stopped by a spring. He cleansed himself; it seems he wanted to test the fruits of his labor while in perfect condition.
    However. While he was bathing, unexpectedly, a snake with an empty stomach sniffed out the smell of the spirit herb of perpetual youth and eternal life.
    By the time he noticed, it was too late. Panicked, Gilgamesh emerged from the spring, all that remained there was the skin that snake had shed.
    Having lost the spirit herb of perpetual youth and eternal life in this way, Gilgamesh was irritated for a long interval, but afterwards, he made his way back to his own castle, Uruk.
    While the Gilgamesh after this was severe, he ruled his state quietly, entrusted to to the next king, and went to his eternal rest.
    Without telling anyone of the whereabouts of the spirit herb of perpetual youth and eternal life.
    Mankind's oldest king of heroes, Gilgamesh. Discord with the gods, the journey for the perpetual youth and eternal life, a deluge which covered the world. In that epic is the basis of every legend.
    The truth of his epic poem, which has many uncertain points concerning fine details exists on the other side of the veil of romance placed upon it by the present day.
    This is another digression, but the snake is reborn with a new body every time it sheds its skin because it stole and ate Gilgamesh's spirit herb... is what is said. It seems that the way the snake goes about its life appeared to the ancient people as a kind of perpetual youth and eternal life that was not available to humans.

    紀元前、シュメールの都市国家ウルクを治めていた半神半人の王。
    伝説だけではなく実在したとされる、人類最古の叙事詩『ギルガメシュ叙事詩』に記された王。
    三分の二が神、三分の一が人という高い神格を持ち、この世で彼に敵う存在はなく、
    この世の全てを手に入れた超越者として完成されていた。

    幼年期は理想の統治者として人々を心酔させたが、万能のおごりからか成長すると共に民を省みなくなり、
    ウルクを絶対的な力で支配した。
    しかし横暴なだけで暴君という訳でもなく、ウルクを正しく繁栄させ、語り合える友を見いだし、
    民の害となる魔物たちを自ら討伐するなど、その英雄性には疑いようがない。
    天を覆うほどの巨大な牡牛さえ倒し、シュメールの城塞都市文明を確固たる物にした傑物でもある。

    以下は『叙事詩』とは違い、史実のもの。
    シュメール都市の遺跡より出土した碑文の欠片によると、ウルクはメソポタミア南方ペルシア沿岸に存在した都市国家であり、
    彼はその第1王朝第5番目の王とされる。
    海洋貿易により財力を得、メソポタミア南方地域を征服。
    北方を制したキシュの王アカとの戦いに勝利し、シュメール都市国家群を堅固なものとした。
    だが船建築の材料として森林を乱伐した結果、農地を荒廃させてしまう。

    そのため、ギルガメシュは巨木のレバノン杉を求め遠くフェニキア(現在のレバノン)にまで遠征し、
     フンババと呼ばれる森の民と戦いこれに勝利を収め、大量の木を持ち帰ったとされる。

    02 - 出典
    『叙事詩』によると、エルキドゥを失った後のギルガメッシュは暗く落ちこみ、かつての勢いは無くなったとされる。
    自分に勝るとも劣らない力を持つエルキドゥですら死ぬ、という事実にギルガメッシュは衝撃を受けた。

    “死”の不安に苛まれたギルガメッシュは、ついには不老不死を求めて冥界へと旅立つ事になった。
    そこにはかつて、地上を襲った大津波を前に多くの動物たちを箱船に乗せて生き延びた老人がいるという。
    地上でただひとり死から逃れ、また、今も生き続けるという賢人。
    彼を求めて、ギルガメッシュは単身で荒野に旅立った。

    長い旅路、数多の苦難の末、ギルガメッシュはついに冥界に辿り着く。
    そこでナピュシテムという老人と出会い、語り、彼はついに不老不死の霊草を手に入れた。
    エルキドゥを奪った“死”すら、ギルガメッシュは超越する事になったのだ。

    念願叶い、ウルクに凱旋する途中、ギルガメッシュは泉に立ち寄った。
    身を清め、己が成果を万全の状態で試そうとしたのだろう。

    しかし。
    その水浴びをしている最中、たまたま腹を空かせていた蛇が不老不死の霊草の匂いをかぎつけた。
    気がついた時にはすべてが手遅れ。
    あわてて泉から出るギルガメッシュだが、そこには脱皮した蛇の抜け殻だけが残されていた。

     こうして不老不死の霊草を失い、ギルガメッシュは長く焦燥したあと、己が居城であるウルクへの帰路についた。
      その後のギルガメッシュは苛烈さこそあるものの穏やかに国を治め、次の王に都市を委ねて永眠した。
      不老不死の霊草の在処を、誰にも話さないままで。

    人類最古の英雄王、ギルガメッシュ。
    神との確執、不老不死を求める旅、世界を覆う大洪水。
    その叙事詩にはあらゆる神話の原形がある。

    こまかなところで疑問点の多い彼の叙事詩の真相は、いま以て浪漫のベールの向こう側にある。

    また余談だが、蛇が脱皮する度に新しい体に生まれ変わるのはギルガメッシュの霊草をかすめ飲んだから……とも言われている。
    古代人は蛇の在り方に、人間にはない不老不死を見たという事だろう。

    Moon Cell [Circumstances]
    Official name: Moon Cell Automaton.
    An energy-storing body discovered inside the moon.
    An artifact constructed by non-human intelligent life.
    A super computer that is the setting for Fate/EXTRA.

    Up to a seventh level has been structurally identified in cyberspace, and the first level, the surface of the moon, is accessible by even normal hackers.
    Going beyond the inner second level is difficult for non-wizardsccheck, there is no way to get inside physically.
    Without soul transference, without having a data body converted into virtual spiritrons, it isnft possible to look into the abyss.
    In the case of the magi of the old world, they had made contact with the moon cell as a part of meditation without having to use radio waves.

    The Moon Cell is, in a manner of speaking, an eye that observes the Earth.
    A processor that faithfully simulates all life on Earth and is capable of providing a definite prediction of the future.
    A database of humanity. A massive memory recording their habits, history, ideas, even their souls. A pandorafs box that promises the next stage of evolution, promises god-like power to those intelligent lifeforms who have become technologically advanced enough to scan the interior of the moon.

    Originally it was an observation device left behind by an alien civilization. It had only recorded the nature of life on Earth, but after many years it came to possess its current abilities.
    Though an observation device initially, it could not leave anything unseen in its observations.

    (Heisenbergfs uncertainty principle. The observer determines an event by observing it. What isnft observed is not certain).

    An observation device must be fair. If it is to observe, there must be nothing unseen. Thus, it required capabilities for knowing everything about the Earth.
    To record all things without bias, it needed performance greater than that of an observation device.

    And so, it had made a giant leap in evolution.

    It had enhanced its functions to the point where it went from making observations to surveillance, even understanding the workings of the planet.

    The greater its enhancements, the more complicated its administration policy.
    It created many terminals and even made artificial intelligences to manage functions for each section.
    (These were later utilized for the NPCs and advanced AIs of the Holy Grail War)
    However, it firmly refused to install an artificial intelligence for itself.

    The observer must not have a mind.
    For the observer to have a mind would result in the meaning of things being decided by the observer.
    Thus, it kept to maintaining its absolute objectivity as an eye, doing so while always dismantling the emerging semblances of sapience that it had incorporated to administrate its functions.

    Thus, this computer has no conception of good and evil, no desire for the future, not even an outcome.

    It is simply there.

    A type-writer left behind by god.

    An observation lens bored in the moon.

    Later, the crystal ball of dreams would come to be called this.

    An eye of the moon.

    A bottomless Klein cube.

    An ownerless Type Moon which has read all of this planet.

    ムーンセル【事柄】
    正式名称はムーンセル・オートマトン。
    月の内部に発見されたエネルギー蓄積体。
    人類とは異なる知的生命体によって作られたアーティーファクト。Fate/EXTRAの舞台となるスーパーコンピューターである。
    電脳構造的に第七層まで確認されており、月の表面である第一層には一般のハッカーでもたどり着ける。
    内部にあたる第二層から先への侵入はウィザードでなければ困難……というか、物理的な侵入方法は皆無。
    魂の転移、疑似霊子状態の情報体でなければ深淵をのぞく事は出来ない。
    旧世界の魔術師たちは瞑想の一環として、電波を利用せずともムーンセル内部へのコンタクトをはたしていたとか。
    ムーンセルは、言うなれば「地球を観測する目」だ。
    地球上すべての生命を忠実にシミュレートし、確かな未来予測まで可能とする演算器。
    人類のデータベース。その生態、歴史から思想、魂までを記録した莫大なメモリー。
    技術レベルが向上し、月の内部を探知できるようになった知的生命体へ、次のステージへの移行、神に等しい能力を約束する禁断の箱である。



    もともとは異星文明によって置かれた観測機。
    地球の生命の在り方を記録するだけの装置だったが、長い年月を経て現在の機能を持つに至った。
    はじめは観測機だったが、しかし、観測するのなら“見えない部分”があってはならない。
    (ハイゼンベルグの不確定性。観測者が観る事で事象を決定させる。観ていない部分は確定しない)
    観測機はフェアでなくてはならない。観測する以上は、見えない部分などあってはならない。結果、ソレは地球の全てを知るための機能を必要とした。
    すべてを平等に、ありのままに記録するためには、観測機以上の性能がいる。
    こうしてソレの機能はおびただしい進化をとげた。
    観測から監視、果ては星の運営すら把握する演算器にまで機能を拡張した。

    規模が拡張すれば運営方針は複雑化していく。ソレは多くの端末を作り、セクションごとに機能を管理する人工知能さえ作り出した。(これが後に聖杯戦争におけるNPC、上級AIなどに利用される)
    しかし、その一方で、ソレは自らに人工知能を搭載する事だけはかたくなに拒否した。
    観測者に知性はあってはならない。
    観測者に知性があっては、物事の意味を観測者が決定してしまう事になる。
    そのため、ソレはあくまで一つの眼として、絶対的な客観性を維持し続けた。……機能運営のために組まれ、生まれていく知能らしきものを常に解体しながら。
    よって、この演算器には善悪の思想も、未来への欲求も、さらには結末すらない。
    ただそこにあるだけの器物。
    神の残した自動書記[タイプライター]。

    後に、この夢を映すだけの水晶体はこう呼ばれる。

    It can be thought of as a Pandora’s Box that will usher in the next stage of evolutionary growth, promising god-like power to the intelligent life forms who become technologically advanced enough to access the Moon’s interior levels.

    It enhanced its functions beyond mere observation into a colossal computation device capable of conducting active surveillance and understanding the inner workings of the planet.
    These greater enhancements caused its administration policy to become more complicated, with many terminals and even artificial intelligences created to assist in managing the functions of each section. (These were later utilized by the NPCs and advanced Als in the Holy Grail War.)
    Despite these advances, the Moon Cell firmly held off on installing an artificial intelligence for itself, in order to maintain its commitment to absolute objectivity.
    To remain impartial, the observer must not have a mind, for a mind would result in meaning being attached to the events being viewed.
    And so the Moon Cell remained an impartial observer engaged in purely functional activities, continually removing any semblance of “intelligent” functions arising as it worked.
    It was a computer with no conception of good or evil, no desire for the future, and no interest in any outcome, it simply observes, a “typewriter left behind by God,” as one researcher put it.
    It is worth noting that the Holy Grail Wars did slightly change the nature of the Moon Cell, via events that were held for the purpose of recording the activity of the human mind, as well as through the choices of the War’s victor, the Main Character.
    In the future, SE.RA.PH is likely to transition from a strictly observational platform to a stage upon which humanity will evolve.

    正式名称はムーンセル オートマトン。
    月の内部に発見されたエネルギー蓄積体。
    人類とは異なる知的生命体によって作られたアーティーファク卜。
    『Fate/EXTELLA』の舞台となるスーパーコンビューターである。
    電脳構造的に第七層まで確忍されており、月の表面である第一層には一般のハッカーでもたどり着ける。
    内部にあたる第二層から先への侵入はウィザードでなければ困難……というか、物理的な侵入方法は皆無。
    魂の転移、疑似霊子状態の情報体でなければ深淵をのぞく事は出来ない。
    旧世界の魔術師たちは瞑想の一環として、電波を利用せずともムーンセル内部へのコンタクトをはたしていたとか。
    ムーンセルは、言うなれば「地球を観測する目」だ。
    地球上すべての生命を忠実にシミュレートし、確かな未来予測まで可能とする演算器。
    人類のデータベース。その生態、歴史から思想、魂までを記録した莫大なメモリー。
    技術レベルが向上し、月の内部を探知できるようになった知的生命体へ 次のステージへの移行、神に等しい能力を約束する禁断の箱である。

    もともとは異星文明によって置かれた観測機。
    地球の生命の在り方を記録するだけの装置だったが、長い年月を経て現在の機能を持つに至った。
    はじめは観測機だったが、しかし、観測するのなら“見えない部分”があってはならない。
    (ハイゼンベルグの不確定性。観測者が観る事で事象を決定させる。観ていない部分は確定しない)
    観測機はフェアでなくてはならない。観測する以上は、見えない部分などあってはならない。結果、ソレは地球の全てを知るための機能を必要とした。
    すべてを平等に、ありのままに記録するためには、観測機以上の性能がいる。
    こうしてムーンセルの機能はおびただしい進化をとげた。
    観測から監視、果ては星の運営すら把握する演算器にまで機能を拡張した。
    規模が拡張すれば運営方針は複雑化していく。ソレは多くの端末を作り、セクションごとに機能を管理する人工知能さえ作り出した。(これが後に聖杯戦争におけるNPC、上級AIなどに利用される)
    しかし、その一方で、ソレは自らに人工知能を搭載する事だけはかたくなに拒否した。
    観測者に知性はあってはならない。
    観測者に知性があっては、物事の意味を観測者が決定してしまう事になる。
    そのため、ムーンセルはあくまで一つの眼として、絶対的な客観性を維持し続けた。……機能運営のために組まれ、生まれていく知能らしきものを常に解体しながら。
    よって、この演算器には善悪の思想も、未来への欲求も、さらには結末すらない。
    ただそこにあるだけの器物。神の残した自動書記[タイプライター]として存在するだけだった。
    しかし、人間の精神活動を記録するために行われていた『月の聖杯戦争』と、その勝者である主人公の選択によって多少なりと、ムーンセルの在り方は変化した。
    その広大な光子ネットワークを第二のフロンティアとして地球人類に提供。今後のSE.RA.PHは“人間を識るため”のものではなく、“人間が進化するため”の土壌になっていくだろう。
    そして、ムーンセルはその歴史を記録する。
    ただ世界を提供するだけの、観測装置としての在り方は変えないままに。

    Moon Cell’s core is Moon Cell.
    As far as Moon Cell is concerned, the seven layers that make up the interior of the Moon are just “additional memory.”
    Moon Cell’s core is what really manages the Moon and observes the Earth. It is the brain that stores the data about the past and future.
    It observes the determination of every possible destiny every second, computes further results, and stores everything inside itself as light.1
    There are untold tens of millions of lights years of light trapped within the core, and the entire photonic crystal structure is also powered by it.
    A certain person named Moon Cell’s core, “The Destiny Perceiving Dendrogram.”
    Just by using information encoded by converging light Moon Cell’s core can even rewrite the laws of physics.

    …The ability to enter Moon Cell’s core is the forbidden fruit that is offered to the ultimate victor of the Holy Grail War.
    After overcoming the Seven Seas the protagonist, who is the last one left alive, finally makes it to Moon Cell’s core.
    A sea of light and innumerable coffins await him/her there.
    And there the one that waits for the protagonist, upon the rubble of the entombed remains of the many victors.

    This had once been a term pointing out to the "wish granting machine that could grant any wish", but in Extra it's referring to the "right to use the Moon Cell."
    If you browse through the vast records of Earth simulations stored in the Moon Cell, you are sure to find the Earth with the future you desire.
    All you, you who have earned the right to use the Moon Cell, have to do is tell it this:
    "Recreate my ideal future."
    The Moon Cell should quickly move things forward so that the Earth will take the shape of that future.
    For the Moon knows how, it knows all that is to be done to make it so.

    You might say “I want all the girlies in the world to be mah little sister" for example, and then in about ten years, it would be assumed that society on Earth would be reorganized in that fashion.
    Or the Earth as a whole might be managed so that an apparatus that can make that dream “seem real” would be created.

    There is nothing that humans can’t realize as long as it lies within the scope of human imagination.
    Because whatever kind of illusion it is, however much of a pipe dream it is, there is a way to experience it.

    Far Side of the Moon [Circumstances]
    The setting of CCC.
    If one thinks of the moon as having two sides, the side facing Earth is the Near Side, while the opposite...the side that cannot be observed from the Earth is the Far Side.
    While Fate/EXTRA starts from the first floor of the Near Side and heads for the seventh floor ~ the core, CCC starts from the Far Side (no concept of floors). Though the path may differ, the end goal for both is the core of the Moon Cell.
    The Far Side of the Moon is a place where data deemed unnecessary by the Moon Cell is kept, similar to a dumping ground.
    It is imaginary number space that continuously takes in data categorized as malignant information――that which is nothing but harmful to humans as well as intelligent lifeforms in general.
    The Far Side is territory so taboo that even the “Eye” in the core of the Moon Cell is forbidden to enter.
    Data that have entered this place, after becoming engulfed in humanity’s malignance and losing sight of their purpose of existence, ultimately become deprived of meaning.
    The Far Side can also be said to be an ocean that has amassed the pollutants that the Moon Cell accrues as it makes its observations.

    This refers not to the side of the Moon that you cannot see from the Earth, but to the other side of the Moon Cell’s internal structure.
    The inner workings of the Moon Cell are divided into the Near Side and the Far Side, top and bottom, each in the shape of a half-moon.
    The Far Side of the Moon is somewhat analogous to a giant “hell” that lies beneath the Earth’s crust.

    Because the Moon Cell trashes information that it cannot understand, as well as unneeded divergences in human history, to its Far Side, that “side” of the Moon is a pool of chaos where innumerable curses and delusions flourish.

    地球からは見る事のできない月の裏側……ではなく、ムーンセル内部の裏側を指す。
    ムーンセル内部は表と裏、上部分と下部分とに分かれており、それぞれ半月型の空間になっている。
    地球で言うなら地面の下に広がる地獄、といったところ。ムーンセルは人類史に不要なもの、ムーンセルでは理解できない情報を月の裏側に投棄するため、月の裏側は多くの怨念と妄想が渦巻く混沌のプールとなっている。

    SERIAL PHANTASM.
    The virtual spiritron world that was created within the Moon Cell.
    When the Moon Cell grew to a great size, it created this city-shaped engine in the form of an additional layer in order to manage itself.
    A human can only view the Moon Cell’s network as pure light, but a Wizard who can turn his or her being into spiritrons can perceive a network of pure information, and join as a node of the network.
    The “Moon’s Holy Grail War,” which was held for the purpose of understanding humans, made use of SE.RA.PH as well.

    SE.RA.PH was fragmented within the Moon Cell, and although some pieces were deemed obsolete and deleted, there were still individual areas that have yet to crumble. However, when it was reborn as the new SE.RA.PH, all of the scattered territories merged together, and they are still in the process of becoming one giant open world.

    ムーンセル内に作られた霊子虚構世界。
    規模が巨大になったムーンセルが自身を運営するために作った“月を回す都市型エンジン”。
    要はムーンセルが後から増築した追加エンジン 追加レイヤーである。
    人間の視点ではムーンセルのネットワークは光としか認識できないが、魂を霊子化できる魔術師なら情報として知覚し、一ユニットとして参加する事ができる。
    人間を知るために行われた『月の聖杯戦争』も、このSE.RA.PHを利用して行われた。
    SE.RA.PHはムーンセル内に点在し、中には既に旧型として廃棄されたものの、いまだに崩壊していない独自領域もあったが、新SE.RA.PHになった事で点在していた領域は融合し、今は衝突を繰り返しながら、『開かれた、一つの大きな世界』になろうとしている。

    Sakura Labyrinth [Location]
    The mysterious structure that appeared on the far side of the Moon.
    It mimics the arena of the Holy Grail War on the surface. It is an area that continues to maintain the existence of real numbers inside the imaginary number space, where maintaining a fixed form is a difficult task.
    Nestled closely around the trunk of a giant sakura tree, it wraps further and further down. This is the source of the name Sakura Labyrinth. The student council deems the Sakura Labyrinth to be getting out of hand and comes up with some alternative plans for it, but all the plans are pretty bad….
    By the way, initially it was called Sakura Dungeon. But the directness of this name, which evokes the idea that you have to bust in and clear everything inside, was thought to be pretty disgusting, so when the new visuals for this area came along the name was axed and changed to Sakura Labyrinth. With this we managed to decrease the amount of linguistic obscenity in CCC.

    This is the borderline that lies between the seventh layer and Moon Cell’s core. Pseudo-Spiritrons are made of light, and it’s warned that at the speed of light it would take 404 years to get past this border and to the computer addresses which lie beyond. This essentially communicates “that address doesn’t exist” to anyone/anything attempting to pass.
    It’s actually an infinite distance that cannot be covered even if you try for centuries.
    The only thing that can serve as a bridge across the borderline to connect Moon Cell’s core to the normal address space is the arena that Moon Cell made to summon the victor of the Holy Grail War.
    …Is how it’s supposed to be, but BB used an imaginary number space to force herself to become an infinite concept,
    and by using a fake arena she managed to break past the borderline.
    When she decided to take on the massive problem of getting past 404 Light Years, her words were filled with determination,
    “Blossom Vaportrail. 38000 Light Years.”
    A vaportrail is the stream of vapor left behind by airplanes when they fly. 38000 is suggestive of the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

    ムーンセル第七階層とムーンセル中枢の間に作られた境界線。光である疑似霊子の速さで突破しても404年かかりますよ、という警告と、「そのアドレスは存在しません」という忠告が混ざったもの。
    実際には何百年かけようと突破できない無限距離。
    ムーンセルが用意した『聖杯戦争の勝者を招くアリーナ』のみが、この領域と中枢を繋げる架け橋となる。
    ……筈だったが、BBは虚数空間を利用する事で自らを無限の概念に落とし込み、偽装アリーナを使用する事でこの術式を突破した。
    中枢への路についた英題、
    “Blossom Vaportrail. 38000 Light Years.”
    はその時の彼女の決意を表したもの。
    ヴェイパートレイルは飛行機雲のこと。38000という数字は月と地球の距離を暗示している。

    Reality Marble
    A Reality Marble, or innate barrier, is magic that manifests one’s mental landscape. Upon activation, the surrounding space is converted into a completely different landscape.
    The actualization of the internal landscape is explained by the “World Egg” magical theory, described in the diagrams below. A Reality Marble is the result of switching the Self and the World while keeping the boundary the same. At this time, the sizes of the Self and the World are swapped, and the World is confined in a small container. This miniature world is the titular World Egg for which the theory is named.

    A representative example of a Reality Marble is Unlimited Blade Works, used by Emiya Shirou and Archer. This Reality Marble changes the entire world in the vicinity of the caster into a space where swords are accumulated, and any swords the user has seen even once become easily Projected. The mental landscape is one that seems like an ironworks or a forge — an endless field in which countless swords are planted, sparks leap through the air, and titanic gears grind in the distance. Due to the characteristic of being mental landscapes, Shirou’s and Archer’s Unlimited Blade Works closely resemble each other, but are different.

    固有結界
    固有結界とは、自身の心象風景を具現化する魔術だ。 これが発動されると、 周囲の空間は、 まったく別の風景へと変化させられる。
    心象風景の具現化とは、右下の図によって示した魔術理論 "世界卵"によって説明される。 つまり自己と世界を、 境界をそのままにして入れ替えたものが固有結界だ。 この時、自己と世界の大きさが入れ換わり、世界は小さな入れ物にすっぽりと閉じ込められる。 この小さな 界が世界卵であり、理論の名前にもなっている。

    固有結界の代表例が、 衛宮士郎やアーチャーが使用する"無限の剣製(アンリミテッドブレイドワークス)"だ。 この固有結界は、自分の周囲の空間をこの世のすべての "剣"の要素が集結する空間に変え、一度でも見たことのある剣を容易く投影できるようにする。 その心象風景は果て無き荒野に無数の剣が突き刺さり、火の粉が飛び交い、遥か遠くには巨大な歯車が回っている製鉄所や鍛冶場のような風景である。心象風景という特性上、 士郎とアーチャーの無限の剣製の風景は、酷似しているが別物だ。
