LightWP (光, Hikari?) is a form of electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the Human eye, traveling as both an Electromagnetic WaveWP (電磁波, Denjiha?) and a stream of particles called PhotonsWP (光子, Kōshi?).

The magical energy flowing inside Kiritsugu Emiya's body moves at the speed of light when Double Accel is activated.[4] On the other hand, BB can travel at the speed of light, as shown during the CCC Incident when she tried to reach the Moon Cell Core.[5]
Relativistic Speed
During Artoria Pendragon's and Diarmuid Ua Duibhne's second fight, the two Servants surpassed the Speed of soundWP, approaching the Speed of Light.[6]
Even without going at full speed, Maanna travels nearly at light speed.[7]
Okita J Souji's Noble Phantasm Jet, Three-Stage Thrust is unleashed at sub-light speed.[8]
Faster than Light
Based on Humanity's current understanding of the Laws of PhysicsWP, nothing can exceed the speed of light.[3]
Surpassing the speed of light is certainly possible in the digital world, however, the Spiritrons that compose a Saint Graph would be unable to survive the stress of those speeds. Accelerating that much would make short work of even an A-rank Servant.[9] Even Meltryllis was drastically weakened when she did it during the SE.RA.PH Subcategory Singularity.[10] Similarly, while Lostbelt Dioscuri's Authority allows them to move faster than light, they are no longer proper gods, but rather, Divine Spirit Servants. As such, making true use of their Authority could destroy their entire Spiritual Core.[11]
Chaos fires beams that move faster than the speed of light, a great Authority that even exceeds that of Apollo in his prime. Out of all the characters that helped defeat Zeus, only Grand Lancer Romulus-Quirinus and Ares are able to react to it. Caenis, Miyamoto Musashi, Europa, and the rest of Chaldea couldn't even perceive what happened.[12] Hakuno's Servants while strengthened by the Mythological Mystic Code were also able to move faster than light, to Kiara Sessyoin's surprise. They returned from the Horsehead Nebula back to this Galaxy seemingly instantly.[13] Furthermore, Santa Karna's body feels lighter than it was when he was burdened with the weight of his spear. The maximum speed of the punches he deliver exceeds the speed of light.[14]
On the other hand, it is established that travelling faster than the speed of light enables Time Travel.[15][10] For example, Mysterious Heroine X explains that Dun Stallion II can operate as a time machine and make time jumps precisely because it moves faster than light.[15] Similarly, Meltryllis was able to travel back in time during the SE.RA.PH Subcategory Singularity by moving that fast through her Noble Phantasm Virgin Laser Palladion.[10]
Light-year
A Light-yearWP (光年, Kōnen?) is a unit of length used to express astronomical distances. One light-year is the distance Light travels during one year.[1]
Known measurements:
- The Observable Universe is 13.8 billion light-years.[16]
- There are tens of millions of millions of light-years worth of data stored inside the Moon Cell Core.
- The Golden City is located in a Spiritron World 1,500 light-years away from Earth. Gilgamesh's Ship of Light was able to reach it in an instant.[17]
- The borderline that lies between the Near Side's seventh layer and Moon Cell’s core is 404 light-years in length.[1]
- During her interlude, Abigail Williams (Salem) projected her mind from hundreds of Light-years away into Chaldea's Abigail's dream. This was an incredibly difficult task, as even Randolph Carter would have got lost on the way there if his cat friend hadn't shown him the way. The only reason Abigail managed to make a hazy shadow in Chaldea was thanks to an almost imperceptibly slight disturbance in the relationship between Saturn and the Sun that was going on at the time, chance, and Ritsuka Fujimaru thinking of her as well.[18]

Pseudo-Spiritrons are made of light, and it’s warned that at the speed of light it would take 404 years to get past this border and to the computer addresses which lie beyond. This essentially communicates “that address doesn’t exist” to anyone/anything attempting to pass.
It’s actually an infinite distance that cannot be covered even if you try for centuries.
The only thing that can serve as a bridge across the borderline to connect Moon Cell’s core to the normal address space is the arena that Moon Cell made to summon the victor of the Holy Grail War.
…Is how it’s supposed to be, but BB used an imaginary number space to force herself to become an infinite concept,
and by using a fake arena she managed to break past the borderline.
When she decided to take on the massive problem of getting past 404 Light Years, her words were filled with determination,
“Blossom Vaportrail. 38000 Light Years.”
A vaportrail is the stream of vapor left behind by airplanes when they fly. 38000 is suggestive of the distance from the Earth to the Moon.ムーンセル第七階層とムーンセル中枢の間に作られた境界線。光である疑似霊子の速さで突破しても404年かかりますよ、という警告と、「そのアドレスは存在しません」という忠告が混ざったもの。
実際には何百年かけようと突破できない無限距離。
ムーンセルが用意した『聖杯戦争の勝者を招くアリーナ』のみが、この領域と中枢を繋げる架け橋となる。
