Sun WukongWP (孫悟空, Son Gokū?), Class Name Rider (ライダー, Raidā?), is a Rider-class Servant proposed by Kohaku in Koha-Ace.[1]
Profile
Background
Sun Wukong is a scrapped servant proposed by Kohaku in Koha-Ace. In order to show what she imagines the character looking like, Kohaku manifests a visual aid of the character who is capable of communicating with other characters.
Kohaku's rough draft of the servant claims that his home planet was destroyed by an evil alien, which is quickly criticized by Akiha for being lifted from another series.
Appearance
Sun Wukong as a woman.
Sun Wukong has red hair, a dark red scarf, and maroon hanfu with gold trim.
Kohaku's initial rough draft is male, but the design is revamped to be female at Nero's suggestion. The female design is largely the same as the male design, but with longer hair and a pronounced chest.
Personality
The visual aid of Sun Wukong initially appears to be proud and boastful, but quickly begins getting worried as he realizes the idea isn't going over well.
Role
Koha-Ace
Sun Wukong briefly appears when thought of by Kohaku as an original Servant in the lead-up to the reveal of Sakura Saber, but is quickly discarded after two pages as part of a gag.
Abilities
Sun Wukong has the ability to update his design with new suggestions, such as changing his gender. It's unclear if the character is using a transformation ability or if this is inherent to his status as a visual aid.
His Noble Phantasms are the Ruyi Jingu Bang: Divine Rare Iron That Suppresses the Heavenly River (天河鎮定神珍鉄, Tenga Chintei Jinchintetsu?), Cloud-Walking Boots (藕糸歩雲履?), Gold Chain Armor (鎖子黄金甲?), and Phoenix Feather Cap (鳳翅紫金冠?). He can use a Reality Marble-like skill that involves a process similar to Tsubame Gaeshi to create copies of himself.
Development
Sun Wukong was created in-universe by Kohaku in Koha-Ace to pitch as a new Koha-Ace exclusive servant. The idea was criticized for having a derivative backstory, uninspired skillset, and genderbending no longer being novel due to its overuse in other Fate works. The idea was unanimously rejected, never to be seen again.
