Toyotomi HideyoshiWP (豊臣 秀吉WP?), Class Name Saber (セイバー, Seibā?), is the Saber-class Servant summoned by Rin Tohsaka and Sakura Matou in the Imperial Capital Holy Grail Strange Story Memoirs of Koha-Ace.
Profile
Identity
A warlord and former subordinate of Oda Nobunaga, who came to rule over Japan. It is known that Oda Nobunaga calls Hideyoshi as Monkey (サル, Saru?).
He has changed his name from Kinoshita Toukichirou (木下 藤吉郎, Kinoshita Tōkichirō?) to Hashiba Hideyoshi (羽柴 秀吉?) and finally to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, reflected in his True Name changing throughout his development when summoned as a Servant. At some point during his rule, he married Oda Nobunaga's niece, Chacha.
Sen-no-Rikyu was also a close associate of the daimyo of the time, Toyotomi Hideyoshi. After the Honnoji Incident, he served under Hideyoshi. However, his excessive influence began to cause friction with Hideyoshi, and Rikyu’s position both inside and out of the Toyotomi regime became gradually more isolated. Rikyu’s tea, filled with new values unbound by tradition and formality, was world-renowned. However, his arrogant attitude, uncompromising in the pursuit of spreading his values, incurred the wrath of the Hideyoshi, who eventually ordered him to commit sepukku.
Ishida Mitsunari was one of his vassals. He ordered the deaths of Toyotomi Hidetsugu and Komahime.
Appearance
Personality
"Heh, did he come... that monkey. Listen, Chacha. I know the monkey well. He can be happy-go-lucky yet calculative, emotionally fragile yet cruel without compare. Although he is that double-faced, he regardless shines and sparkles, truly a man akin to the sun. It is not strange that he took command of the world after me. But, even for him there is one thing that he can't do. Chacha, you should know it well too. He is--- "Someone who can't raise his head only in front of the woman he loves"!" -Demon Archer
Hideyoshi is described as "happy-go-lucky yet calculative", "emotionally fragile yet cruel without compare", and "double-faced", yet someone who shines and sparkles like the sun. He is mentioned to be unable to raise his head in front of the woman he loves, Chacha mentioning how he was only nice and kind to her. Nobunaga also mentions he loves shiny things, even going so far as to make golden tea rooms and the like as a hobby.
Role
Koha-Ace
Saber does not appear in the story of the Strange Tales of the Imperial Holy Grail, but is described as being applicable for the Rider Servant class if he were to be summoned in Koha-Ace.[2] He later is given a profile as Saber.
Chibichuki!
Sakata Kintoki forms a group along with Cú Chulainn, Hideyoshi and Robin. Kintoki reenacts MomotarōWP (桃太郎?) story where he plays as Momotarō, Hideyoshi plays the role of monkey, Cú Chulainn plays the role of dog and Robin plays the role of the pheasant.
GUDAGUDA Taikou Legend ZIPANG
He is the master of Okita Souji in the Holy Grail War during the Sengoku period.
Other appearances
Hideyoshi and Kagetora in Fate/type Redline.
In Fate/type Redline he and Nagao Kagetora cameo when Tsukumo Fujimiya explains the Holy Grail War.[3]
Abilities
Saber is initially a weak Servant due to having started his reign from being a minor, no-name farmer. His Child of the Sun Noble Phantasm replicates his growth from that state into the most important person in Japan, then deteriorates him into a useless old man. His abilities raise every day for a week from when he is summoned, eventually culminating in high parameters in the state called Tenkabito Hideyoshi He transforms into his older state the next day and his parameters deteriorate daily over the next week.
Hideyoshi also qualifies to be summoned as a Rider due to the great voyage he undertook during his attempt to conquer China and Korea during the Imjin WarWP.[2]
Skills
Class Skills
- Magic Resistance (C~A Rank): Immediately after being summoned, he has low Magic Resistance for a Saber, but with the Child of the Sun Noble Phantasm, it improves over a number of days since the day of his original summoning until it eventually is capable of canceling out all Magecraft Spells that are of A Rank and below.[1]
- Riding (C Rank): The ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above-average skill. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts. Because he does not have an anecdote of riding anything special or worth mentioning, he receives a low rank in this Skill for a Saber.[1]
Personal Skills
- Golden Rule (A Rank): The measurement of one's fortune to acquire wealth. He is a transcending, golden nouveau riche that is said to have collected all the gold of Japan.[1]
- Charisma (B~A+ Rank): Hideyoshi had a reputation as a man of the people. Warlords would be sent to kill Monkey and then end up coming home with him as a friend, earning him his renown as a great communicator. As a bonus, he was well-liked by both superiors and enemies alike, so he's skilled at negotation. On the seventh day since his summoning, Hideyoshi's Charisma will reach A+ Rank and become a curse-like charm that requires a Magic Resistance of B or more to resist.[1]
- Great Nationwide Crossing (C~A Rank): A miraculous escape skill that turns any pinch into an opportunity. Although it has an effect similar to Disengage, battle can resume in an advantageous state for Hideyoshi without fail at the time of a successful check. This Skill was based on an anecdote of Hideyoshi taking all his troops over from the Siege of TakamatsuWP to take his revenge on the enemies of Nobunaga.[1]
Noble Phantasms
Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Noble Phantasms are Child of the Sun, Blade Taker and Sunomata Castle.
Development
Creation and Conception
He is designed by Keikenchi, differing from Sakura Saber and Demon Archer, his design and abilities were originally made solely by the author without any input from Kinoko Nasu, but they later conferred for the final status sheet.

■ Riding: C
Riding ability. Can ride average animals as well as any other person but can't ride wild beasts. He doesn't have any notable anecdotes about riding, so his rank for this is also a bit low for a Saber.

■ Golden Rule: A
The measure of his fortune in amassing wealth during his life. He's said to be a super nouveau riche who had all the gold in Japan.
■ Charisma: B~A+
Hideyoshi had a reputation as an exceptional man of the people. Warlords would be sent to kill Monkey and then end up coming home with him as a friend, earning him his renown as a great communicator. As a bonus, he was liked by both superiors and enemies alike, so he's skilled at negotiation. On the 7th day, this skill becomes akin to a curse-like charm that requires Rank B or higher resistance to dispel.
■ Great Nationwide Crossing: C~A
A miraculous ability to escape that can turn any pinch pinch into an opportunity. He's very fast. Similar to Disengage, but if the skill works, he rejoins the battle with the advantage no matter what. Noble Phantasms
■ Child of the Sun
Rank: E~A
Type: Divine Noble Phantasm
Range: -
Maximum number of targets: -
For the 7 days following his summoning, his stats continually go up. When the sun rises, so do his parameters. On the 7th day, he reaches the level of a Grand Heroic Spirit, the sun itself. Each of his skills are enhanced as his status increases, reaching divine status by day 4 and Rank A divinity on day 7. Then, on the 8th day, his status starts to climb back downward for the next 7 days as he grows old, eventually disappearing on the 14th day. A Noble Phantasm that represents Hideyoshi's life, coming from nothing, then rising up like the sun until he was the ruler of a nation.
■ Sword Hunt: Blade Taker
Rank: E~EX
Type: Anti-Treasure Noble Phantasm
Range: 1
Maximum number of targets: 1 person
Starting at Rank E on the first day, he can disable armament Noble Phantasms if his enemy's luck is low. On day 4, it rises to Rank B and he can use the weapons as his own if his enemy's luck is low. On day 7, it reaches its most powerful form at Rank EX, allowing him to control every weapon and also reveal their true name if his own luck is high. Hideyoshi's famous "Sword Hunt" decree made into a Noble Phantasm. Because of this Noble Phantasm, Hideyoshi manifests as a rare kind of Saber who doesn't have a weapon of his own. Incidentally, his skill with weapons isn't very high, so he can't use the weapons as effectively as their original owners can.
■ Sunomata Castle: Overnight Castle > Transcendent Dazzling Castle of the Sun > Golden Demon Realm ZIPANG
Rank: E~EX
Type: Fortress Noble Phantasm > ???
Range: 1~100
Maximum number of targets: 1~??? people
A castle that he can summon to block enemy attacks. However, the effect of its fortification is rather modest. Noble Phantasms ranks D and above can easily penetrate it. Its fortification rises with his rank. Transcendent Dazzling Castle of the Sun Rank: A Castle that becomes available to summon on the 6th day. The golden furnace at the castle's core releases a never-ending flow of magical energy. A Reality Marble that makes the Tenkabito Hideyoshi's castle manifest. Using the magical energy granted by the golden furnace, he can even summon other Heroic Spirits aligned with Toyotomi to act as his army. Since their existence depends on the magical energy from the golden furnace, they can't go out to fight for very long. A giant, golden fortress with walls of iron said to be the greatest in all of Japanese history. By the way, Tokugawa can't show up even though he's one of the 5 Elders, but that can't be helped.CLASS

■対魔力:C~A
■黄金律:A
ランク:E~A
