Specimen: E (被検体:E, Hikentai E?), also identified as Subject: E (検体:E?), is the codename given to an alien life form that landed on CHALDEAS-Earth and was studied by Area 51. Chaldea Security Organization attempts to figure out the true nature of the entity as part of solving the Human Order Revision Incident. Upon encountering it in the Area 51 laboratory after solving the Traum Singularity, Chaldea encounters two entities, a small twig and a humanoid collection of nerves. Trismegistus II identifies the life form as a human of CHALDEAS and Master of the Servants of the Traum Singularity, while James Moriarty identifies it as an alien life form.
The true nature of Specimen: E is the body of Olga Marie Animusphere thrown into CHALDEAS by Lev Lainur Flauros, tortured and utilized by CHALDEAS-Mankind to incorporate her Magic Circuits into their world. The twig is the last remaining part of her nerves, while the body is that of David Bluebook, mistakenly identified as Specimen: E.
Profile
Background
Researcher Log
According to the log of the Area 51 researcher in charge, Subject: E was identified as having crash landed in New Mexico in 2016. Eighteen hours after it was located, it was brought into Area 51's underground facility, said to be in a near death state. The researcher was ordered to perform surgery on it to resuscitate it and to attempt to establish a method of communication. The researcher noted the project is classified.[1]
David Bluebook's investigation
According to notes found by David Bluebook, Subject E landed in 2016, either having its transportation destroyed during entry into the atmosphere or having been purposefully destroyed by Subject E. Having been exposed upon its discovery, it was identified as having been near death. The Air ForceWP applied flash freezingWP to it to preserve its life functions. The scientists in charge of it performed numerous tests, experiments, and surgeries on it to keep it alive.[2]
While they began with proper intentions, their procedures became exploitative. They found that its cells were made of elements not found on the planet, which was enticing to the administration to help the country along in the energy race between nations. They conducted clinical trials with different kinds of medications upon it, and tested all known substances on Earth to see its reactions. They observed reactions that corresponded to pain and reactions that corresponded to joy. They measured its endurance through starving it of nutrients, burning it, freezing it, melting it, and attaching things to it. They stirred its intestines, cut off parts of its body, and measured signals from what organ they believed to be its brain.[2]
As the researchers continued, they found that Subject E was constantly emitting an unknown signal, which they believed was it calling for help. Thinking that more potential subjects would show up, they kept running experiments and inflicting greater levels of pain upon it.[2]
James Moriarty's investigation
James Moriarty states that Specimen: E does not originate from Earth, having spent one hundred years in the Area 51 laboratory being concealed from the world, examined, and experimented on. Its remains left over as of modern day, Moriarty believes it to be kin of the Alien God and that it called the Alien God in its death throes.[3]
Trismegistus II's conclusion
Trismegistus II identifies Specimen: E as a human of CHALDEAS, one from the year 2117 of the Earth of CHALDEAS, who died a few days prior to Chaldea's arrival. Sion Eltnam Sokaris and Kadoc Zemlupus speculate that Specimen: E was the last human of CHALDEAS after the bleaching, the corpse being a person of no renown like Ritsuka Fujimaru who was burdened with the future of mankind. As the representative of mankind, Specimen: E bore feelings of revenge towards Proper Human History. Utilizing the will of CHALDEAS' deceased and Command Spells of all potential Master candidates on Earth, the Traum Singularity was established and numerous Servants were summoned with retribution against Proper Human History ingrained into them.[4]
Personality
Specimen E has nurtured a deep hatred of humanity after 100 years of experimentation on it by scientists.[3]
Appearance
Subject: E described in the Area 51 researcher's notes is said to look like tree roots, described as something one would witness in a horror movie. It is known to be an intelligent life form.[1]
What David Bluebook finds is a "bizarre" entity that resembles a dead tree.[2]
What Chaldea finds is a small twig on an operating table and a collection of nerves in the shape of a human body on the floor.[3]
Role
Fate/Grand Order
Cosmos in the Lostbelt
Atlantis: Ancient Ocean of the Dreadnought Gods
When David Bluebook breaks into Area 51 he finds it abandoned except for Specimen E on an operating table.[2]
Traum: Realm of the Thanatos Impulse
Subject E, with its Servant Zhang Jue, created the Traum Singularity in an act of revenge toward greater human history.[3]
James Moriarty leads Chaldea to Area 51, where they enter a room to see a small twig on an operating table and a collection of nerves in the shape of a human body on the floor.[3]
Nahui Mictlan: Golden Sea of Trees Travelogue
Ritsuka Fujimaru tries to gather up the humanoid corpse to take back to the Storm Border, but it disintegrates on contact. After this the Priestess of the Alien God appears and Area 51 begins to vanish. Fujimaru, Kadoc, and Mash flee and barely escape before Area 51 disappears. Moriarty informs Chaldea that Specimen E had been cruelly experimented on for a century, and his theory is that in its death throes it called out to its kin, the Alien God to the world, though he cannot prove that yet.[5]
Much later, U-Olga Marie states that she was dissected for decades which made her come to see Earthlings as evil creatures. She screamed over and over that she was human, and yet no one dissecting her ever listened to her.[6] This would seem to confirm that Olga Marie Animusphere was the "alien" found by Area 51.
Ordeal Call
Ordeal Call Prologue
Sion Eltnam Sokaris and Leonardo da Vinci finish their analysis of Specimen: E. Determining what they believe to be its true nature, Ritsuka Fujimaru feels the incongruity with James Moriarty's description to be strange.[4]
Abilities
As the last surviving human of CHALDEAS's Earth, it was essentially the Representative of Mankind. As such, being the will of the dead people of CHALDEAS allowed it create the Traum Singularity and its three Holy Grails upon the bleached Earth, and to summon the tens of thousands of Servants within the Singularity while supplying them with all the necessary magical energy. In addition, the vast number of Command Spells utilised, each charged with enough magical energy to allowed the Servants to instantly use Noble Phantasms, were created from all the Humans of CHALDEAS who had the potential to be a Master.[7][4]
