Kawakami GensaiWP (河上彦斎WP?), Class Name Assassin (アサシン, Asashin?), is an Assassin-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile
Identity
One of the four great manslayers of Japan's BakumatsuWP period, along with Okada Izou, Tanaka Shinbei, and Kirino ToshiakiWP. A master swordsman whose name resounded throughout the BakumatsuWP period as an assassin for the Sonnō JōiWP faction. However, after the Meiji RestorationWP, she came to be regarded as a threat by the new government and one of the four great manslayers of Japan, along with Okada Izou, Tanaka Shinbei, and Kirino ToshiakiWP.
However, Gensai herself was dissatisfied with this. A native of the KumamotoWP in HigoWP, she studied and mastered military strategy at a young age. Though credited with numerous assassinations for the Sonno Joi faction, only her daylight assassination of Sakuma ShōzanWP is clearly documented.
She survived the turbulent end of the Bakumatsu period and entered the Meiji eraWP but was shunned by those in the new government. Ultimately, she was charged with crimes, imprisoned, and subsequently executed by beheading as a criminal.
She is a Stray Servant wandering through time and space in search of the single decisive blow she must strike. An irregular entity who was cast out into this world for certain reasons.
Appearance
Petite in stature and fair-skinned, the Kawakami Gensai of Proper Human History was said to resemble a woman at first glance, but in the world of ■, she is precisely what appears to be: a female swordsman.
Personality
Being somewhat detached from the world and steadfastly loyal to her own convictions, Gensai is often regarded as a peculiar person. In times of peace, she is polite and gentle yet also possesses a cruel disposition that allows her to kill people without a second thought, earning her the nickname "Pit Viper Gensai".
She is, above all, intensely stubborn; once she has made up her mind, she simply cannot act otherwise. Yet this very trait has left her with regrets in life. She's oddly loyal in peculiar ways and for some trivial reason, she ended up lending her support.

Kawakami Gensai's swordsmanship was said to be self-taught and she is described to have been an expert in BattōjutsuWP. She specialized in a deadly reverse diagonal cut, drawn from a low stance with one knee touching the ground.
Having honed her skill in the ways of the sword, Gensai claims she is better suited for being as summoned as a Saber due to her poor mana consumption and nonexistent aptitude for stealth.[1]

Although she was summoned as an Assassin, Gensai is incapable of actually concealing her presence. It's for this reason that she believes she's a rather poor fit for the Class as a whole.[3][1][4]

- Gensai the Man-Slayer (A Rank): Among the legendary swordsmen of the Bakumatsu era, she boasted a particularly formidable skill with the blade. She stands as a unique figure even among those possessing the Man-Slayer skill.
- Peerless Battou (A Rank): Gensai's unique style of draw-and-strike technique, unmatched in the world. Though unconventional in its draw, defying the principles of orthodox swordsmanship, it is precisely for this reason that no one can replicate it.
- Viper's Gaze (B Rank): The mentality of the woman appraised as Gensai the Viper. Once her gaze locks onto a target, she immobilizes them and exerts unfathomable pressure that prevents action. The sword of the innately strong.
