Sixth Singularity: Camelot
Rushd and his mother, Salia, along with many other refugees, travel to the Holy City of Camelot. They camp outside its main gate in the hopes of being selected to live in the city. When the Holy Selection comes, Salia is one of three amongst the refugees to be chosen as virtuos souls by Goddess Rhongomyniad. Rushd tries to stop an Enforcement Knight from bringing his mother into Camelot, only to be smacked away by the knight. Salia begs for him to let into the city with him, but the knight replies Rushd wasn't chosen. He then tries to execute Rushd, only for Salia to step in front of his swinging sword. After Salia dies from her wounds, the knight attacks Rushd for comparing the knights to his mother. Fortunately, Mash Kyrielight arrives in time, and kills the knight before he can kill Rushd. Ritsuka's party evenutally save Rushd and the remaining refugees from being executed, and escape.[1]
Rushd later wakes up while the group are being guided to a mountain village. He noticed his mother wasn't with them, to which the others said she went with a different group. Leonardo da Vinci plays with Rushd, driving around in her vehicle, to try and cheer him up. The group are eventually confronted by Lancelot and his knights, who were sent to capture them. They fight them until Da Vinci converts her vehicle into a bomb and drives it into the knights, allowing the others to escape.[2]
The group eventually come to the Eastern Mountain Village, but Hassan of the Cursed Arm only allows the refugeees to enter. After Cursed Arm is defeated in the ensuing fight, Rushd tells him that Ritsuka's party saved them, and asks him to stop fighting. He tells him that he and his mother got seperated when Cursed Arm asks him where Salia was. Cursed Arm allows Ritsuka's party into the village to repay the debt of saving the refugees.[3] Days later when the village is atttacked by Tristan and his knights, Rushd and the other refugees are evacuated to a cave.[4]
On the eve of the assault on Camelot, Mash puts Rushd to bed. He tells her not to worry about him, knowing she and others are going to Camelot in the morning. Mash apologizes for lying, and confesses they feared he'd insist on coming along. Rushd suspects she wanted to say: "Fighting is dangerous. It's too early for a child.", something he already knows. Knowing it'll be the last they'll talk, Rushd thanks Mash for saving him and his mother. He knows his mother is already dead, and vows continue living in honor of his mother's last word that he was her life. As long as he continues to live, his mother will also.[5]
