RuggieroWP (ロジェロWP, Rojero?), Class Name Saber (セイバー, Seibā?), is a Saber-class Servant appearing in Fate/Grand Order.
Profile
Identity
Ruggiero is a Servant related to the legends of the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne. He is the lover of Bradamante. As Heroic Spirits, Bradamante is forever searching for Ruggiero due to their legend.
A descendant of Hector, Ruggiero was a knight belonging to a nation that was an enemy of the Paladins. However, he and Bradamante fell in love despite being on opposing sides. They faced many hardships to be together, such as when a Greek prince proposed to Bradamante, when Ruggiero was magically seduced by the witch AlcinaWP, or when Ruggiero was abducted by the evil mage AtlanteWP. But every time Bradamante would face the challenges to fulfill her love with Ruggiero.[1]
Mandricardo stole Durandal after Roland discarded it. But even with both Durandal and Hector's armor, he was unable to defeat Ruggiero.[2][3]
Appearance
In the "Charlemagne's Montjoie and Chivalry" event, Ruggiero is represented with generic Class Saber artwork as a placeholder for his actual design.
Personality
Role
Fate/Grand Order
Samba Night‚ Holy Night - The Snowy Ruins and the Girl Knight
He participates in the Santa Tag Tournament as an African representative, but Bradamante does not notice he is there.[4]
Charlemagne's Montjoie and Chivalry
Ruggiero and Bradamante reunite.
Abilities
Mandricardo doesn't think he could even beat Ruggiero, no matter how many times he fought him.[3] This is because Ruggiero already defeated him when they were alive. Despite Mandricardo wielding Hector's armor, and his sword, Durandal, at the time, he still couldn't defeat Ruggiero.[2][3] On the other hand, Bradamante regards Mandricardo as a powerful warrior-king who went toe-to-toe with Ruggiero and Roland.[5]
Noble Phantasm
Ruggiero wields a Demonic Sword. Although Mandricardo regards Ruggiero as "a hell of a hero," there was no doubt that Mandricardo's weapon was better.[3]
