Hakuno Kishinami (岸波 白野, Kishinami Hakuno?) is a cryogenically frozen sufferer of Amnesia Syndrome used as the basis for NPC Hakuno Kishinami of the Moon Cell.
Profile
Background
Hakuno's chamber
Hakuno was a twenty year old[1] former highschooler[2] from Japan in 2000 AD.[3] Having been infected by Amnesia Syndrome, a fatal degenerative brain disease, their only hope of a cure disappeared with the death of surgeon Twice H. Pieceman in a bioterrorism attack in 1999.[3][4] Hakuno was then cryogenically frozen in Japan[5] to await a time in which treatment was possible, but, due to the world's technological stagnation, remained in that state for over 30 years.[3]
As of the 2030s, the Moon Cell used Hakuno as the basis for a NPC that later gained sentience. Possessing no knowledge of themself or their past, they were a completely unique entity with no direct connection to their human self unlike the proper Masters.[3]
Personality
Although NPC Hakuno is simply data modeled off of human Hakuno, Rin Tohsaka says they have "the same heart, spirit, and soul."[3]
Appearance
Hakuno's gender, name, bloodtype, and birthday are selected by the player.
Role
Fate/EXTRA
After entering the Moon Cell, the NPC Hakuno sends Rin/Rani information on the location of the original's body, in the hopes that she will be able to find and help his/her other self.
Human Hakuno in the manga.
In the manga adaptation of Fate/EXTRA, it is shown that Rin made good on her promise to rescue the original Hakuno (male in this version).[6]
Fate/EXTRA CCC
In the Archer ending for Fate/EXTRA CCC, the original Hakuno is found and saved, and their illness is treated, but they are forced to survive in this new dangerous world pursued by Harway forces. Eventually, they make it to a combat camp in the Middle East where they will receive training to help them survive. During a marathon, as they take a break to rest under a tree, a reborn No Name, who is now a combat instructor, offers them a hand, adding that they will be their personal instructor. The two do not recognize each other, but instead feel a sense of déja vu.[2]
During the True Ending, NPC Hakuno is incarnated in an artificial human body on Earth with Sakura Matou. This does not affect the human Hakuno's body.[5]

Pieceman is a medical researcher and scientist who lived from 1970 to 1999.
He specialized in the use of cybernetics to improve prosthetics, while also doing significant work in brain surgery, electronic engineering, and even development of the network.
He is an individual who played a big role in laying the foundation for the infrastructure that is used in the present (2030). He is a great man whose many meritorious achievements include analyzing the amnesia syndrome disease, and providing medical assistance in war zones among others.
He was born in the 70s, in the midst of a so-called proxy war taking place in Southeast Asia, as the mixed-race son of a local and an American soldier.
Born in the fires of war, which would claim the lives of both his parents by its end (that being said his father died early on in the war after being sent to the front lines). He lived as a war orphan, but was eventually adopted for his potential as a Wizard. The name Pieceman belongs to his adoptive father.
(It’s reasonable to assume that he is not aware of this. Twice was adopted when he was around the age of five, and it is assumed that he no longer has memories of that time. His adoptive family went as far as altering their family registry, and even up to his death he never found out that he was a war orphan.)
After graduating from University, he was offered a promising future working at the think tank of a famous conglomerate, but he declined this to follow the ideals he strongly believed in, and so he left the safety of home. After that, disregarding the opposition from the people around him, he headed to strife-filled, war-torn areas, “To experience war firsthand.” and became widely known for his work as an engineer.
In 1999 he traveled to an experimental future city in the Far East to help as a volunteer in the aftermath of a disaster. He helped save many people, but then died in a terrorist attack.

[] Fate/EXTRA material - Encyclopedia: CCC True End Protagonist [Spoilers], p.185 [T] CCC True End Protagonist [spoilers]
This section is about when the protagonist wakes up during the True End and he/she is not in the private Japanese facility where his/her original is slumbering. He/she is in a completely different location, which is an abandoned medical facility.
In the conclusion of Heaven’s Fall, Sakura mentions something at the end about a “big cheat.” This refers to Moon Cell employing all of its capabilities to send the protagonist to Earth.
This means that the protagonist’s consciousness is reincarnated in the real world with an artificially created human body.
(Since Sakura is an AI, the base of her existence is different from that of humans.)
After that, since they are now far from the Moon, Sakura and the protagonist have no means of finding out what happened with the Holy Grail War.
Perhaps Leo won and is facing off against Moon Cell in Moon Cell Nucleus. Or one of the other remaining Masters might have won, so possibly Rin or Rani.
Or is it true to history and the weakest Master, who was not involved in the events of CCC, made it to the Nucleus?
There are countless possibilities, all which speak of a hope filled future.CCC真ENDの主入公【ネタバレ】
- ↑ Fate/Extra Manga - Chapter 38.5: "Extra Stage"
