Arnold Beckman (アーノルド・ベックマン, Ānorudo Bekkuman?) is the secretary to the director of Seraphix, a division of the Chaldea Security Organization. During the incident after Zepar merges with Kiara Sessyoin, he is the last survivor.

Background
As Seraphix fell into chaos in early 2017 thanks to Kiara's machinations, Beckman was goaded by her into becoming a despot. He set down laws to be followed, and choose the "Cleaner" to enforce them.[1] He had those not obedient to him thrown to the monsters, and his loyal followers always searched for deserters to get on his good side. He also ensured director Hideyasu Ajima, deputy director Almiro, the department manager, and the medical staff were all executed.[2]
Eventually he, Mable Macintosh, Trapayne, and Holly became the only survivors since they stayed in the Central Command Room.[3] In the end he was the only survivor.[4]

Personality
Beckman is an extremely unpleasant person, expressing contempt and ingratitude towards Fujimaru and their servants despite being saved by them. He took to using poison to execute any survivors of the Seraphix Incident who disagreed with him, and may have never bothered to learn Mable Macintosh’s name (though the ambiguity of her existence because of Kiara’s impersonation makes this unclear).

Beckman is cowering from the Demon God that suddenly appeared in the command room one day when Ritsuka's party arrive and kill it. He thanks and praises Ritsuka for it until he notices their Chaldean uniform. Assuming they came because of the distress signal he sent out, he asks how the rescue effort is going, and if the digitization is over. He disparages them however upon learning they're the only one who came and it took him hours to arrive at the command room. He apologizes though after Gawain demanded he rethink his words. He is startled by Meltryllis when she suddenly asked what happened to the rest of the staff. He calms down after Ritsuka and Gawain assure him that she and BB are enemies. Then, in answer to Meltyrllis's question, he states he's the only one left. He recalls how Mable (not even knowing her name) ran away, and how Holly overdosed in a locker. Ritsuka tells him that Mable is alive, for which Beckman finds her incredibly lucky. He tries to stop the group from viewing the room's records by asserting only those authorized by the Animusphere's head can access them. He also insists the planetarium doesn't exist. Meltryllis however reveals the data was deleted long before they arrived, so they'll have to find the planetarium themselves. She then finds a passcode for the chapel terminal. Gawain questions why it'd be kept in the command room if it's meant to be used in the church. Beckman responds that a therapist from the church came to try to soothe the more religious survivors only to be killed by them, so Gawain figures she left it behind. Ritsuka then asks Beckman about the Demon God from earlier. He answers it suddenly emerged from the floor one day. It killed and consumed the people who murdered the doctors. Beside that, it left the others alone if they kept their distance. The group then return to the chapel with Beckman.[4]
At the chapel, Beckman pretends to be relieved to see Mable alive. He doesn’t object to Passionlip joining since Ritsuka is the leader. He’s only happy to go with it because they’ll have to take responsibility if anything goes wrong. Mable then escorts him to an avaliable room upstairs.[4]
The next morning, everyone discovers that Gawain was killed while they were sleeping. Meltryllis and Passionlip are accused by everyone except Ritsuka and Cat because they’re Alter Egos. Meltryllis asserts they were outside at the time, and Gawain was too wary of her to allow her to ambush him. Seeing the lack of evidence, Tristan asks Ritsuka to continue exploring SE.RA.PH while he continues to stay behind to protect Mable and Arnold. He also asks EMIYA Alter to accompany Ritsuka so they can monitor him. He is suspicious of both the Alter Egos and EMIYA Alter, but he understands the Alter Egos wish to protect Ritsuka while EMIYA Alter isn’t especially concerned. Thus, he’ll have the Alter Egos protect Ritsuka while EMIYA Alter monitors the Alter Egos.[4]
Later, Beckman has Tristan retrieve equipment from the command room. Using it, he contacts Ritsuka’s party just as they find themselves gated off from the Spine. Asserting the group is useless without him, he orders them to flip SE.RA.PH once they’re at the spine to arrive at the planetarium. He then brags about how he found it when he measured each area of the map to discover a space in the center. He orders the group to report to him once they’ve eliminated Suzuka Gozen. He also reveals SE.RA.PH will the reach the bottom of the trench in 15 real world minutes, or 24 hours in SE.RA.PH time. He ends his transmission, saying he’ll meet them at the planetarium. Mable reveals Beckman took credit for her measurements and calculations.[2]
He contacts the group at the Spine after they slew a Demon God to warn there are only eight hours left before SE.RA.PH reaches the seabed. He demands that they return to him at once, saying he’ll accompany them to the planetarium. Ritsuka however ignores his orders to save Meltryllis, who was knocked into the Trash Dump by the Demon God. Beckman finds that a waste of time, believing Meltryllis to be dead, and asserting it is Ritsuka’s mission is to dispose of monsters like the Alter Egos. He demands they follow his orders, reminding them it’ll be him who’ll report on their performance once everything is done. He again tries to order Ritsuka to return to the chapel when they cut him off.[2]
Beckman orders Tristan to retrieve Ritsuka. Furious they cut him off, Beckman confesses he's responsible for the deaths of much of the staff. He also asserts he's the only one in Seraphix who's worth anything. Seeing there's only four minutes, he contemplates how to force Ritsuka to fall into line. He gets startled when someone enters the church, wondering if it's Tristan. It is EMIYA Alter, so Beckman tries to order him to retrieve Type-8 B-Toxin from sickbay. EMIYA Alter kills him before he can finish his order.[2]
