Clearing the Sandbox
I know the purpose of it is to let people practice wiki editing, but it kind of looks like people were treating it as an info/code dump and then they don't clean up once the content gets added to their respective articles. Is it kosher to clear out some/all of it? - Banksia (talk) 04:38, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, it can be emptied as needed. Only permanent ones would be user sandboxes. EGGS (talk) 10:57, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
Vandalism
- 94.12.30.37 inserted nonsense in Artoria Pendragon (Saber).GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 23:17, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Is it possible to ban the user ZyperShot? I've seen them in other wikis and they never have anything to add besides horny descriptions. Banksia (talk) 00:24, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- This user 180.73.243.135 has vandalized the pages of Shirou Emiya and Sakura Matou by inserting nonsense or even outright completely deleting the articles. The Lord Reader (talk) 16:49, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
- User:172.58.171.243 vandalized Excalibur by deleting all content and leaving a link to a discord server.GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 09:35, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
Ready for FandomDesktop?
Hey!
I'd like you guys to go around your wiki and see if it is ready to move to the FandomDesktop skin!
You can check if the following is correctly working:
- Massively used templates (infoboxes, etc)
- At least one theme is set in the Theme Designer (along with a favicon and a logo)
- Your CSS is ready.
When you feel like your wiki is ready, go in your admin dashboard /Special:AdminDashboard and hit the button on the right!
Let me know when that is done. :)
Tracking discussions
I could have sworn there was a wiki discussion on changing Skills in the infoboxes to reflect game vs. materials info, like how Achilles' article right now, or at least about how to show Skill upgrades like on Quetz's, but I can't seem to find it. Do you know if there's actually a way to see all these kinds of discussions? The notification alerts always go away after a while or get pushed out by newer alerts, which is a pity. Banksia (talk) 01:45, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Seeing as the Discussion forum replacement is trash, I typically use the page name "TYPE-MOON Wiki:Discussion name." If you use the advance search and uncheck all the boxes other than "TYPE-MOON Wiki," you should be able to see any old ones.EGGS (talk)
Further Skills overhaul
I'm testing a new format for Servant Skills that I want to run by you. I know there was discussion about this a while back and it hasn't even been that long since we divided the pages up but I wanted to try another way for a number of reasons:
- This format should make the pages more friendly for people using the Visual Editor, which should also help with--
- Improving references, reducing the errors we keep getting with some editors. Moving Skills to their own page also shaves down the number of references on a page considerably, making them more manageable.
- Searching for Skills becomes easier, for the same reason that it'll help with writing articles: article links will auto-fill with the Skill name instead of the redirect (e.g. "Charisma of the Sun" instead of "Skill/C").
- We still have articles that list an overview of Skill names with ranks, Servants and Classes. People who want lore can go to the article itself; I included "Voyager of the Stars" and "Voyager of the Storm" in my example.
Please let me know what you think. Banksia (talk) 03:04, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Seems fine. If you add ! class="unsortable" | Notes, you can remove the option to sort the notes section of it. EGGS (talk) 13:15, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
Vanguard is here to help!
Hey there, I just wanted to let you know that someone from the Vanguard team at Fandom is going to go over the wiki and fix some bugs in your template calls, etc. This should not affect the content or anything else.
Thanks!
- Hello, everything I had to fix is done. Will130

Staff categories
Can I suggest that we use a dash instead of a colon (e.g. "Illustrator - BLACK") similar to the FGO wiki, since it personally looks cleaner. I also think if we change it from "scenario writer" to just "writer", we can cover things like the writers for novels. -- Banksia (talk) 00:00, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
- Not really sure how specific I want to get with the categories, either lumping in all writing together, or splitting up writing a character vs writing a story seeing as FGO has a lot of guest character designers/writers. EGGS (talk) 14:47, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

TsukiRe stuff
A lot of pictures and CGs from the game and the character material have been leaked online, I was wondering what was the policy about those and other such stuff like infos. Is there a moratorium or some length of time before we are allowed to post spoilers from TsukiRe onto articles, or is it more lax? —The Lord Reader (talk) 13:03, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Spoilers are fine any time. Just want to avoid unconfirmed text-only stuff that has a 50/50 shot of being real or a shitpost. EGGS (talk) 13:16, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Alright.—The Lord Reader (talk) 13:21, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Any chance we can just keep things to text-only right now? I know the foreign audience is relying on spoilers, but I'm personally not sure if we go full hog into including CGs during the requested two weeks. -- Banksia (talk) 13:28, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Should the Dead Apostle article be separated between remake and og Tsuki?--Crimson Moon1 (talk) 12:39, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- It depends if the lore is simply expanding on the old concept or replacing the old concept. Like so far True Ancestor lore seems to just be giving them more abilities, so probably don't need to split up that one. If the DA ranks don't contradict anything, then it's similar in that it's just giving us a more in-depth look at it. If there's contradictory information, then we'll want to split it. Forum migration
Hey there! With the recent migration of the forums, I would like to know if you ever noticed references to the old forum namespace in your wiki's maintenance special pages (ie: Unused Images, etc) If so, please let me know! Thanks! :)
Vlov render
Hey, That new Volv render is awesome! Where'd you grab it from? Is there a source and if so could you provide it! It looks amazing and is such good quality.
Invitation to my Wiki Admins Discord Server
Hey there! I created a Discord server in an attempt to regroup all of the admins of the wikis I manage at Fandom so that announcements and collaboration can be done more efficiently, feel free to join it and get in touch with fellow admins from other wikis!
Since I don't want just anyone to join this Discord, I'll ask that you DM me on Discord and I will provide the link to you then. :)

Regarding Image galleries
I must inform you of a problem with the image galleries for Semiramis, Achilles, Tomoe Gozen and Merlin. When attempting to click on an image and bring it up to full size in Mobile View, it is not possible. Nor can the full images be brought up in another tab. The only way to view them properly is in Desktop view. I humbly ask that you and other administrators take a look at and try to resolve this issue.
Master365
- I've found what may be the problem, no idea if it worked. Next time, I suggest trying to find the common point yourself, as this is a community-maintained wiki, instead of insulting people on the community forum, which a lot of editors do not pay attention to. -- Banksia (talk) 23:59, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Achilles lover/friend
Hey there, it appears like you've banned this user over a single edit they've made about the relationship of both Achilles and Patroclus. While this may not apply to the TYPE-MOON universe's lore, it is something legit in the real world mythology, so this edit might just be a misunderstanding of the editor.
Please do not jump the gun to block people and read up more on here: https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Assuming_good_faith
I unblocked them and reached out to them so that they can provide me with a source of their claim.
If you have any other information regarding this topic, please let me know so that the situation can be sorted out properly.

Sefar vs Zeus
User:Demonicjester01 has been constantly modiffying a quote from a translated interview where Nasu says LB Zeus "fought Sefar to a draw and chased it away" so that it fits his argument. At first he changed it to "Zeus completely vanquished sefar", but a simple google translate confirms that "ほぼ相打ち状態" = "almost a draw" at the very least. Rather than to offer another translation he has just kept modiffying it for no reason so that it says something the translator never said. I know the game says that they did defeat her, but changing the translation of INKD, a respected translator, whcih has also been revised by fallacies (I've been told by one of her close friends) is dishonest. I ask you to do something about it.GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 21:19, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
Sefar vs Zeus
Every other translation resources says "almost a draw", which User:Crimson Moon1 has also confirmed and can be readily checked piece by piece from the original Japanese. What my original edit was is irrelevant since that's not what I'm using currently, but rather I'm going with the "almost a draw" fact.
Instead, User:GuessWhoYoutube is trying to preserve it with false information about the result of the battle being a straight up "draw", against what Nasu and the game said, which even if it's not destruction per the interview and my original edit (currently not in use), both resources (which can be confirmed with the method I explained in the previous paragraph) clearly mention it as Zeus winning, not a draw even if that was "almost" the case, by virtue of Sefar being driven away and her remains present as the Gigas (which corresponds to the Gigas from PHH where she was defeated by Excalibur).
- I'm honestly not paying attention to the dispute itself, so I won't be much help in actually solving it. But if you want to discuss what is correct, use Talk:Velber or Talk:Velber 02 to make your case. Just stop with the edit warring. EGGS (talk) 22:26, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
Remake stuff
What are your thoughts on moving the OG tsuki stuff to subpages instead of having the remake articles as subpages? As of currently, the remake stuff is what Nasu has been using since he came up with the fate/tsuki split, so I think having them as subpages is a bit weird especially since the OG stuff is in its own continuity right now.
Regarding the Dead Apostle Article, I think it should be separated between OG and Remake now too because of the new stages a dead apostle can acquire and the existence of Idea Blood which doesn't apply to OG tsuki. As well as information from the OG that doesn't apply to the remake. Another one that should be split is the True Ancestor article.--Crimson Moon1 (talk) 17:05, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
- We'll swap them eventually, but leaving them as subpages works best for now so we can more easily switch over the links as they build for a couple years. One good run through with AWB in a year or two will make quick work of swapping links once we have enough of an article base for Remake. For other articles, it really depends on how much info is being supplanted. If it's only a minor amount of info, a section is good enough. If it's like 100% different, then a subpage works better. EGGS (talk) 23:43, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Regarding the Medea article
Please explain to me why my edits were undone. I cannot understand why they would disrupt the page or how it is read. I did not do a thin besides adding in the remaining three images of Medea’s Fate/Grand Order profile behind her Final Ascension Art. I had noticed for some time those images were specifically lacking and I refrained from adding them up to this point. I should HOPE I don’t have to remind you how many times my edits have been reverted for no apparent reason. I will defer to an administrator’s judgment if and when my edits definitively cause trouble for those who would read these articles, but if you can’t provide a reason, then please STOP DOING THAT. A good day to you.
- Did you really not notice the 45kb glitch addition to the article? Use the source editor to edit. EGGS (talk) 21:14, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I apologize if I’ve been rude. But could you please make sure that doesn’t get erased? I recall you told me to use source editing before in the Bedivere article, and someone else still got rid of that.
- Never mind, I saw your message. I don’t understand what you’ve suggested, or how to do it. PLEASE, explain to me what I’m doing wrong. I KNOW I switched from visual to source editing. It was a huge pain trying to find one particular section of each article. I don’t know how to source edit.
- Sign talk pages with ~~~~ after your text. Indent discussions with : before your text.
- At the top of the article, click the three dots next to the edit button to access source editing directly. You can also go to your site preferences --> editing --> preferred editor. Both "source editor" and "visual editor - source mode" are fine. "visual editor - source mode" seem to be the better of the two. You just want to avoid entering base visual editor because it seems to carry over junk when you switch over. EGGS (talk) 13:09, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- What you did is from my perspective, more than enough. Thank you for undoing my latest blunder. I believe I won’t try to edit her page again for some time.
- You can always toy around with User:Master365/Sandbox by copying and pasting article text if you want to experiment before publishing. 17:16, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Greetings from Fandom’s new Anime Community Manager
Hello!
My name is Lucas DeRuyter and I’m Fandom’s new Anime Community Manager. If I haven’t touched base before, I was a former member of the Anime Vertical and ComDev team before taking on this role in the Community Experience team. Going forward, you can reach out to me if you have any questions about the Fandom platform, need a hand with anything on this wiki, or if you just want to chat about the Type Moon franchise.
Please let me know the best way to contact you and the other folks leading up this wiki when you have a chance. If you mostly use a Discord server or group chat, my handle is lder#9923 and I would love to join those conversations. More than anything, I want to help this wiki be the best version of itself and make every Fandom user have a pleasant time while on our platform.
To that end, I’m currently spinning up a Fandom Anime Watch Party and Manga Book Club. If you have any questions about those efforts, please let me know and I’d love to hear your thoughts. I really am looking forward to helping this community grow and hope you’ll get in touch if you ever need anything from my end.
Thanks and have a great day!

Restoration of Christian and Muslim servant pages
There was absolutely zero need to remove the pages for christian and muslim servants out of nowhere while allowing page for buddhists and the others, those pages were here for many years and the listings were used by hundreds of people and had important information and classification of servants, someone who is an adminstrator should never let their personal bias affect their job because that ruins everything, please restore back the pages like they used to be as they are important listing and do not hurt anybody that is being honest, information is information and these two pages are part of typemoon as well Asuhiho
- Those categories were ultimately just not useful for meaningful categorization. We don’t have a clear answer on most characters’ faith, so they were being inserted based on personal whims rather than anything concrete. The Buddhist one probably could go as well, but it really didn’t have the same problem as the others. EGGS (talk) 14:47, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- Firstly my apologies for using wrong account to comment here and had to delete the response earlier (i wrote my actual username at end of paragraph now), but this seems like a very biased response, those pages were used by hundreds of people for years and they were always useful, they hurt nobody and there is no point in having those pages as blank suddenly after so many years by the decision of a single person out of nowhere, all admins together should decide such things and in this case it just makes no sense when there are other much more trivial categories up, also the faith of those specific characters on the list was always crystal clear that people such as amakusha shiro and jeanne d'arc being christian and all of the hassashin being muslim (that is the entire point of their organisation), deleting pages due to personal emotional issues is just silly and it is ruining the wiki and the diversity and the freedom of speech Asuhiho
- For every character properly categorized, there were three others that were nebulous at best (this is especially true when considering historical faiths may not correlate to in-universe faiths). I have no interest in constantly needing to prune those categories when they honestly didn't end up being particularly useful for navigation purposes. EGGS (talk) 15:57, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- Those two categories have been up for at least 7 years and there was never a serious problem with them (if there was any at all), and they were used by hundreds of people, if you have a personal issue with them then let someone else manage those two specific pages but it is obvious that you are trying to extrapolate things out of non-issues due to some personal bias as the other people on typemoon discord said (their responses were "this is typical of EGGS" i can screenshot them too), what you said can be applied to every category in general, if there is ever a serious issue of vandalism then those pages can simply become protected but nothing like this has ever happened so far and none of the other admins and users ever had an issue with them Asuhiho
- Yes, and after years of being up, they were a horrible, unverifiable mess not worth the headache of trying to clean up. The lack of in-universe verifiable information on all but the most obvious of characters means they are simply untenable. You are more than welcome to make a sub-user page or a blog post listing characters by their faith, but the categories aren't being restored at this time. EGGS (talk) 16:15, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Ryougi and Araya stuff
Since LDSatoko keeps reverting my edits, I should explain my problems with these articles to you. Right now these two articles has information from this popularity poll, but the problem is a that the poll's information is a fighting game parody so we shouldn't assume that it applies to their actual abilities, strengths and weaknesses.
Example of what Araya's article has "An all-rounder capable of fighting from any range, Araya is a Power Type on par with Nrvnqsr and Kishima Kouma."
But when you take into account the whole bio it's an explanation of fighting game mechanics. Same goes for Shiki Ryougi.
"A boss character with excellent long-range attacks and a powerful fighting style befitting his imposing stature. An all-rounder capable of fighting from any range, Araya is a Power Type on par with Nrvnqsr and Kishima Kouma.
By using the gauge, a three-layer boundary that slows down everything that enters it can be manifested. When the boundaries are created, usage of large-scale magecraft also becomes possible. Truly, this is the majesty of a boss character. However, the boundaries have limited durability, and will collapse if they take too many attacks. Akiha’s “Bring Down the Bird that Dances in the Empty Sky” can take out one of the boundaries in a single hit, so don’t get cocky.
However, even without relying on his boundaries, Araya’s basic parameters are excellent. Because of his height, his reach is long and his damage output is high. Though his attacks are generally all huge, one-off strikes, canceling with the Command Grab “Dagoku” mitigates the risk of being counterattacked.
If he has any drawbacks, it’s the slowness of his movement. Because a fast-paced, combo-filled fighting style is impossible, let’s just smash the opponent with brute force, okay?"
- Sign talk page posts with ~~~~ at the end. Yeah, posting those wholesale doesn't really help with anything. Should there happen to be any particular context that can be derived from any of them, it'd be limited to a sentence or so. EGGS (talk)
