Manga pics

Hi there this is Palantian, well after failing, to actually getting that Interview with the guys at TM, to help prove the whole Fate/Oblivion Twilight thing, I have, decided to just have fun in Japan (seeing as it is I've booked tickets) and have come to ask if it is okay If we could get some people to help with the character pics from the Fate/stay night manga. 

The Pics are meant to show how they appear in the Manga.

He's doing that thing again where he screams at people, possibly at his own sock puppets, in a very silly back and forth dance that is spamming the Recent Activity section with dozens of comments which may or may not all be him under different accounts (and/or non-accounts as the case may be).

UPDATE Feb 28: And now Pal and his legion of sock puppet accounts are doing an edit war on the Emiya Shirou page over some dumb shit. It's... really easy to tell they're all the same person because They all have a Tendency to randomly Capitalize like this and also They write fanfict instead of fanfic. You need to do something, this makes the recent changes page completely worthless and unusable. Firstly to the twit Anon 70.81.176.124 I was just taking a look at what the other guys wrote and what they were commenting/summarizing. According to Vindicator22 what Shawn wrote looks okay, while the other guys GathN7 and Nikonu said that it was redundant and nothing more then spoilers. The other guys who agreed with Vin were more focused on its position in the page. I was more concern with the referencing, which looked off. the discussin was actually settled when Nikonu pointed out that "Archer and Shirou are considered two separate entities in fate/stay night."

And secondly with regards the the commenting part, Yes it is true there were people who did bad mouth me, even after I requested them not to. And It really was such a simple favour and yet those people couldn't even humour me. Namely Neverest1. You Anon 70.81.176.124 were not one of them at least until now. Where you're trying to annoy the hell out of all of us. And also none of us are Sock-puppets of the same user. I mean seriously you see us all conversing, arguing, and correcting each other!

You know what who really cares, You just an Anon with no username, who has only been doing nothing but trying to pick a fight with people on this wiki, and I'm unfortunately the one you're mainly targeting. Okay, I'm not even sure if EGGS is reading this nonsense, but here goes.

I am not a sock puppet. I can't speak for the others, but I'm not. I'm not affiliated with Type-Moon, I don't know anybody who is, at most, I signed a petition to get Fate/Extra CCC localised to the states at least so I could then import it to where I live.

I don't say 'fanfict', but I don't think 'fanfic' is somehow more correct, they're both shorthands of fan fiction. I do at times capitalise random words in a sentence, but that's a problem I've had for years due to dyslexia.

All in all, I'd rather not be involved in this at all, but someone requested I take a look and help out, so I did, the arguments that have spawned from this are of no interest to me. I know I'm just a bunch of words on a computer screen to you lot, and without contacting the Wiki people directly there's no means to prove I'm not a sock puppet, but I know I'm not, and if I'm somehow creating a half dozen sock puppets through my subconscious or some rubbish, I clearly have more problems besides some pissed off Anon and Neverest giving grief. It's similar in shape, but it's definitely different in a few areas on the "key" and handle. Before that, the fact that he had thrown it out and considers it inconsequential is the reason why it doesn't seem to be the same. It seems to be required to manifest GoB seeing as he usually is mentioned using it once per work, and he mentions it at least twice in CCC as being useful. EGGS (talk) 14:59, April 7, 2015 (UTC)

Class Tags?

Since we're rapidly approaching 100 servants, should we maybe further divide the Servants by tagging them wih their given class? Yeah, just counting the classes the actually appear under is the best option. One category of "Other-class Servants" can probably cover Avenger, Shielder, Beast, ect. Ruler can probably get a category of its own. EGGS (talk) 17:29, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Coding Error?

Hey EGGS, this is something I've been running into for the past while, but until today I assumed it was a fault on my end, but certain tabs aren't working. Like the switches for pictures in servant articles and getting the japanese sources from references. Someone over on BL said something about losing the japanese and it twigged to me it sounds like the same problem I'm having, so I wanted to check. Is it a coding error or something? The update last week broke the Switch template. It looks like the wiki I originally got it from managed to fix their own template, so it might be possible to fix depending on what they actually did. EGGS (talk) 01:42, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

I pointed out that Nasu said Arcueid, while at 30% power, is on par with that of 2 servants. Copy and pasting the source located on the wiki. Not once did he ever say she was as strong as 4 servants while at that level of power. So with current sources available: She has the power of 2 servants, not 4. And he was referring to "30% Arcueid".

It says she is four times as powerful as a single Servant ("they'd be 1/4th of Tsukihime's Arcueid"), and then goes onto mention that she'll possibly be overwhelmed by two fighting at once. Power ≠ ability to win. There is the other source that mentions she'll get two Servants' worth of power when fighting a Servant, but most people seem to view those as two non-contradictory statements. That's fair I guess. Seems kind of contradictory to me however. Especially since I don't see someone who is 4x more powerful than 1 servant being overwhelmed by just two unless said 2 servants were like Gilgamesh or Hercules. Then later(as you pointed out) he says that Arc would only have the power of 2 servants if she went up against Gilgmesh. Seems contradictory to me. But because of that; I'll leave the page alone. Edelfelt Contradiction

I went looking, and I found out articles are contradicting one another. The Magus page says that the Edelfelts who participated in the Third War, one went missing and the other returned home with a spite against thhe Japanese. EGGS, excuse me, but the user PhantomEvans, informed me that the user FingerBlaster69 (the one that changed Noble Phantasm for N***er) is problematic.

Hello, sorry for answering this late but honestly I didn't notice the massage until now...I kow I'm silly. Either way the reason I found it is because I was looking for... it doesn't matter but it does related to a problem I found. A new servant  Edward Teach(Rider). On his page i found some offensive... well I just found a word "bitch". Personally I don't have problems with it at all but it does bother me if some other people take offense to it and don't take it well(aka rise a bullstrom or something). I would edit it but I'm not sure whenever it's a oficial part of  description or not. Either way as more expirienced with this wiki I think that you more suited to deal with a problem like this. Sorry to bother and thanks in advance.

Interwiki project/Plagiarism issue

Hello, I have two issues I wish to speak to you about, and I am hoping we can help each other in the process.

I am a part of a small community of wikis who are aligned in the goal of helping others improve instead of sticking to our own community. My job is reaching out and bringing people and wikis in who can help. One way of helping is working with what I call "host wikis", wikis that do not focus on one subject, but instead have articles relating to multiple universes. One of these wikis has articles relating to TYPE-MOON. This is also related to another reason I am here.

The Heroes wiki specializes in the heroes of stories, and due to the high activity, are looking for help from other wikis as they are not experts in everything. I found an article while helping them that is an almost complete copy of yours. Here is theirs and here is yours. Heroes wants all their content to be original, and would be grateful for help in making sure they have no plagiarism or other issues relating to TYPE-MOON. This ties into the project, so this can help you guys in more ways then one.

If you guys want, you can make sure these articles meet a higher standard, helping their wiki and fans of the Anime. Not only that, but Heroes has a deal set up that wikis who assist them can set up a special template similar to this one. The template can include an external link leading here.

We are hoping you can assist in this matter, any questions relating to this are welcome.

Why are you removing the European Tag?

True enough but there would be some value to having a regional supertag for the various Serents.  FOr example if one wanted to search for all Servents from Asia, the Middle East or Europe without having to get country-specific.

Regarding your invitation

Regarding the message you left on my IP page inviting me on registering etcetera, I felt i'd drop a message to say the simple reason because I'm not registering and becoming a stable contributor is because of the imbecile attitude you wiki-monkeys hold towards occasional contributors regardless of the actual contribution.

Regarding the Magical Ruby page edit for which I was contacted I'd like to mention that any half-wit can see that the "Abilities" section I took time to propose was far more detailed, better worded and - might I add - didn't contain wrong information such as the old page, which claimed Ruby could access the "mana plane" (nothing of sorts exists in the fateverse) or that it can furnish unlimited prana, which is incorrect, since Ruby is heavly limited in output and by the wielder's prana-stocking capability (or magic circuit density).

It seems, to me, that you pay little to no attention to the edit itself but rather focus on who the editor is and if he is registered and part of your small community. I fail to understand how such an elitist attitude can do you any good when half of your wiki pages are lacking information, are badly worded and organized or outright empty. A community revolving around the idea of providing information to the public shouldn't be so narrow-minded as to keep a behaviour which only helps scaring contributors away and discouraging people who have no interest in the social aspect of wikis from contributing, rather it should focus on providing the greatest and best degree on information, maybe taking time to even read each contribution before blindly reverting it.

I might consider taking up on your offer when you actually start holding an information-providing website and not a circlejerk.

Small Request

Dear EGGS, may I ask do you know where I can find the image for Tubaki Kuruoka’s doctor, and do you happen to know if she has a name? I have noticed you have uploaded the image for Mr. and Mrs. Kuruoka in the List of minor characters, so I assume maybe the doctor may had made her appearance. If you can show me the image, or upload it in perhaps Tubaki Kuruoka’s page, then that would be greatly appreciated.

Also, may I ask if you know if, like Morgan le Fay in the recent update with her manga depiction, Nasu had made any sort of brief appearance about Solomon - King of Magecraft? Just curious if that has ever occurred.

Only characters that have a name and/or role need to be mentioned. Random townspeople don't really need any mention without an active role. The manga version of strange fake would have an image, but the doctor falls into the category of having neither a name or active role in the story. Was curious if the doctor had a name in the manga version, thank you again for telling me. The reason I asked that is unlike jerks, such as Archer's original master or Wolf's creator, to have a very good hearted person, Tubaki's doctor, seemed to be a good balance (assuming she was determined to save Tubaki in manga like the novel). And this is just a hunch but, in the future, she may play a part in making sure Tubaki lives. However, again, thank you for your time, really appreciate the effort you put so far in this wiki.

Template

Is there a rule in this Wiki stating that templates like nihongo and ruby must be upper case when used? Because I never saw a Wiki using them in upper case (that means, spelled "Nihongo" and "Ruby" when used), and after I changed them to lower case, Eiyuu.ou went back and undid it. Wiki Problem

I've recently been getting a message from this wikia stating my email has not been confirmed...

"Oh no! Your email address has not yet been confirmed. You should have a confirmation message in your inbox. Didn't get it? Click here and we'll send a new one. If you need to change your address, head to your Preferences page."

Editing Problems

Hi,

I'm having problems when I'm editing. I don't know how but when I was trying to edit the Fate/Prototype Fragments section, the editor just went ballistic on me the moment I tried to format something, and when I went to publish all of the text, the text jumped to some other spot in the section. I managed to return it to how it was, but I'd still like some pointers so that it doesn't happene again and if possible could you please help me fix the format so that the text is the same as the ones in the Fate/Prototype section.

If you use the classic editor instead of the visual editor, it should be fine. EGGS (talk) 11:15, October 18, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Future editing

All right, I'll make sure not to remove the categories from redirects anymore. Regarding the move function, I couldn't use it since Gáe Bolg was already a redirect to Gae Bolg, and since Gáe is the proper spelling, I tried switching the pages around. Deleting the redirect wasn't an option.

Also, just a suggestion: enabling the chat would probably make the wiki a lot more popular. People love talking about F/SN, so there'd be a lot more visitors and potentially more contributors. --IStoleThePies | Message Wall | Contributions 13:35, October 18, 2015 (UTC)
