The World of Fate/strange Fake is the world line in which Fate/strange Fake takes place, centering around the True and False Holy Grail Wars.

Setting

While sharing a similar history with the World of Fate/stay night, the world of strange Fake takes place in its own continuity.[1] From the period where Gilgamesh met Enkidu in ancient Uruk, as their relationship and the end they came to as a subtly different process,[1] through the end of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War, various incidents follow a different process, but arrive at roughly the same outcome as the main history of stay night. The formation of the worldline of strange Fake is the accumulation of these incidents.[2]

The conclusion of the Fifth Holy Grail War is unknown,[1] but the world of Fate/school life is the wordline that shares the most in common with that of strange fake.[2][3]

The world is a unique case of being a mixed world, combining a Fate World, in which Heroic Spirits can be summoned as Servants, and a Tsukihime World, in which The Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors exist.[4][5]

History

This parallel world is called a "pseudepigraphonWP" (or the opposite) by Caubac Alcatraz,[6] but it can be assumed its history is similar to Fate/stay night up to a certain point. In fact, according to Nasu, the relationship between Enkidu and Gilgamesh and the end they came to in myth is the same in both stay night and Fake, but the process is subtly different.[1] One particular difference in the legend of Gilgamesh is that he went on an epic journey and battle to separate the heavens from the earth, creating them as separate worlds when they used to be one, and this was the start of the Age of Man.[7]

Other differences in the history of the worldline include unstated differences in the legend of Heracles, as well as variatons in parts of the Hundred Years' War.[8] In this world, Helen of Troy was even the wife of Agamemnon instead of Menelaus.[9]

It's the accumulation of these events following different processes while arriving at practically the same outcome that created the worldline of Fake.[2]
