Image categories
Please add the categories the images you upload belong to. The Lord Reader (talk) 19:03, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
- I have to repeat this again because you haven't learned in 3 years somehow. Categorize images, it doesn't take even 5 seconds. --The Lord Reader (talk) 03:26, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- And I have to repeat it again as you keep uploading tons on images without doing the bare minimum of categorizing them. This isn't an image sharing site, if you add information, add it in up to wiki standards and make it so it actually provides information. --The Lord Reader (talk) 19:45, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
That is quite simple, because categorizing is pointless when galleries have a way bigger problem. The administration here doesn't give a shit about badly made galleries that have thousands of magazine illustrations and fanarts in it. In the last year have been raped to no end, images without any sources be it in filename or the artist, a same gallery for all kind of images and that is treated as normal, and this is a matter of literal front end. Categorization is a backend solution that should be treated later.
Do you doubt me? See the Nero Claudius or Artoria Pendragon (Saber) galleries, I already gave up on trying to organize it.
They keep growing and growing and the administration doesn't think about the future, in how to deal with large galleries. Not a single peep about it. But the categorization of images are really the problem? Wake up dude, the real problem is the front end, when the administration decides to make solutions for the pages to not look like complete shit and start improving things rather than just pilling it up, then I will categorize it. Until then, I will simply not. For two reasons: I already indicate the origin in the filename itself and second: grouping everything in a giant pile of stuff like the way categories are being used right now isn't providing information, it is diluting it in a sea of meaningless rather than being helpful.
Let me give you two example:
What is more informative? The Category:Fate/Zero images or the filename Fate Zero Anime Visual Guide II Lancelot and Guinevere illustration by Akira Houjou.jpg
Category: Fate/Grand Order images or Gouka Kenran Mugetsu Sakuhinshuu cover.jpg
If you already do in the filename, it is infinitely better than just categorizing (even more when galleries are terrible right now)
But what can I expect from you? It wasn't you who created all separated pages for different things right under the same brand fate/stay night or fate/strange fake? Go to any page and check history of edits and see that everything was grouped like a gigantic blob, just like current categories are used right now. And this is a choice that is still prevalent to this day. How many times will I have to add the correct link to a Fate/Zero (anime) or Fate/Zero (manga) image in the front end where the user spends the most time and when they click on a hyperlink they are throw into something else? Or the illustrator pages where it was everything together.
So no, I won't categorize anything, unless things start changing around galleries here, for the better. TYPE-MOON Wikia is absolutely terrible at many things and this isn't a matter of being shackled by Fandom. Many wikias created separated pages to galleries where you can categorize in the gallery itself like a section for magazine, key visuals, settei images. But you didn't do this even for different pages like an anime series and a manga, imagine for galleries.
Are the administration going to do something with the front end or not? Or is categorization so much important than the visual crime that the galleries are becoming is a less important issue and there have been no improvement ever since I came to participate here? (that wasn't implemented by me like the scrolls for example)
User:Lemostr00 (talk) 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- That is quite simple, because categorizing is pointless when galleries have a way bigger problem. This is a whataboutism. 'Here is this issue with how you are doing things' isn't negated by the existence of other problems, it's still an issue. It's not an either/or thing, images should ideally be both well titled and well categorized so we don't have files floating around in a void except for the one particular page they are on. And if they aren't well named, it turns out categorization still helps, because the template Rename automatically adds them to the category of images needing to be renamed. It's a bit irresponsible to go 'well, they haven't solved this problem, so I'm going to add more problems because why does it matter?', when you could just as well not make things more complicated in the first place. Titling files correctly is to be commended, I will admit that much, but it's still just incomplete.
- Myself I try as much as possible to provide an appropriate title, categorize the image, and provide as precisely as possible the source of the file, either be it the manga chapter it is from, the page of the material book, or even the Twitter. I didn't even ask to do all that, but simply categorize. And I as well add links to the correct sub categories, so your lecturing doesn't concern me. Which, speaking of, for all this lecturing about what the administration is supposed to do, have you brought it up to them in the first place? It's one thing to complain, but if the administration is unaware that there are complaints at all, they aren't going to realize there is an issue in the first place, and will just assume users are satisfied with the state of things. I'm only a Content Moderator, and I was made such in 2022, so your posturing about what you have done before I even got this role is irrelevant to me, I also spent a long time correcting absolutely horrendous sourcing and referencing in articles (which is sitll a problem), I don't have to brag about it. All I can do is make pages fit the wiki's standards, cleanup, try to prevent cleanup, and lock pages when there are edit wars. Deep issues with the Wikia itself like what its standards even are (like the idea of a separate page for galleries) are not under my purview, but people like User:EGGS and User:Banksia, go scream at them. In the meantime, categorizing takes two seconds, not wanting to do it just sounds lazy --The Lord Reader (talk) 04:03, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
Infoboxes getting screwed up?
Hello Lemostr00,
I'm noticing that many of the edits you've made seem to mess with FGO servant infoboxes. I've been trying to fix this by reverting your edits and then just reentering the data on my PC and it seems to work. I apologize for doing that (I've done it on only two pages so far, OG Elizabeth and Setanta), and have no intention of starting an edit war. However, I do plan on fixing this if possible. I am currently going through every single FGO servant and seeing who has had their infoboxes affected.
Do you know why this is happening? Also, is it alright with you if I continue?
Thanks!
PkMnTrainerMatan (talk) 03:21, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
Some time ago I added lots of text into basically every fgo servants related go their dialogues and interaction with others, since I use mostly source editing, I may screwed up something adding to the infobox that may have broke it. Which is strange since I mostly dont touch the infobox since it is mostly alright. In Elizabeth case, the last edit that I did, by comparing the history, the only change was how in the gallery was written: stage and I used Stage. So no clue about what broke the page. In the Sétanta page, it could be the reference tab to the dialogue, but even when I previously screwed up the ref, it never fucked up the infobox since it isnt tied to it in any way.
If you add the content back after fixing the pages it will be alright, I have no problems, since I have no clue what broke the pages exactly.

Howdy, Lemostr00
It's nice to properly meet you! My name is "Legendary Super Saiyan Fennekin" (though most folks just call me "Fenn" since my Username is ridiculously long). Due to your contributions to this Wiki, and all of the care you have put into this platform, I was wondering if you would be interested in joining the Fandom Stars program?
The Stars role is usually given to Users who have helped out a lot on the platform, and includes fun little benefits like invitations to special events (virtually and IRL), early access to neat new features, and other cool stuff.
If you're interested and have any questions, feel free to gimme a shout!

My Edits
Hey, I don't know how you expect me to change the way I edit if you don't directly communicate with me here. I don't know if this is a common practice thing on this, but I don't look at the change logs of pages every time someone makes an edit just in case they left a comment regarding my changes.
Furthermore, even if the relationship description only describes the views of character Y, it is still relevant to character X. Simple quotes also don't leave room for nuance. "Is that Y?! I want to fight them!" Can either mean that A is angry and wants to beat the shit out of Y or wants to duel. It also just clashes with the tone of the article.
And I am sorry, but unless you get someone from the staff to back you up on this or convince me to stop doing it, I won't. Call it tone policing, but your insults haven't exactly put me in the mood to listen simply to keep the peace between us.--Appelmonkey (talk) 08:27, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
Its not the first time you add things because you want or like it that way, you don't follow the pattern estabilished by years of other editors, be it the gallery, or other edits. There is a reason to why is done in that way, just think about it, almost every page has a pattern to follow to make the wiki consistent.
So we have the relationships of more than 350 characters done in one way by quoting their direct lines. I was the one who added all the lines, and you know what I got by reading every single line? You cant describe what every single line there is. There are lots of ambiguous lines that can mean lots of things, the nuance is in the line itself. By attempting to describe the line into a single description, you take all the nuance into a single direction, killing any possibility of interpretation. It is literally why it is formated into being quotes instead of descriptions.
And second: putting other characters opinions is only going to make worse since you are going to double the work that is completely unnecessary, since you are reading a specific character, why would you want to know why x,y, or z think about him in this page? We already have that character page to put that information there, it is pertinent to that specific character. And it is mostly done, with some missing but mostly done in FGO servants (missing material quotes and some new lines). Do you think you are going to do the same to more than 350 servants? I am pretty sure not, even more in this double way style.
Then it comes the fanart. Not only you add fanart to the galleries, you do not even source them, when was it posted, where, the origin of the fanart. No info at all. Only showing again a lack of understanding of the wikia. You dont add every single image here, imagine saber, how many images could we add to it? How many fate/stay night illustrations could be added? If you want to see a troublesome page, just look into Nero Claudius gallery.
I will keep reverting your edits. For someone who claims yo be "on a mission to make the pages more understandable to the layman", you completely lack the tact of a layman to understand how to work in a group effort, you edit stuff just because you want it without a single care to the unification of others before, who stablished how to do it.

I am sorry, but the 'pattern' is just copypasting material book translations, fluff and all without any care of actual relevance as to how the ability works or the quality of the translations. Pages are filled with endless poetic musings, what-if senarios that do nothing but describe the senario without illustrating the character's abilities, comedic descriptions of abilities, and entire poetic musings on how an ability may or may not reflect a Servant's nature. Or dont explain shit at all and keep it purposefully vague. Do you think this: "There is a sword of infinity that leads to multiplicity. A way to acknowledge "multiple possibilities". A single act that is originally finite; a single slash that can only be performed at one time, in one space. It is, so to speak, an "infinite" sword that gives birth to several "correct answers". To make one's own existence transparent to the extremes, until there is nothing more. And yet to grasp for "something" beyond that. That is Kojiro's "Tsubame Gaeshi". A sword that creates a "future" that not even the gods can escape from" holds any meaning to anyone, cassual fan or vet? Do you think Saber Fran looking like "Today's Dog, Today's Fran" is relevant to her riding skill what so ever?
Does EMIYA Alter's identity bit tell you anything about his past if you're not already familiar with multiple Fate entries?
Just because a pattern exsists doesn't mean its any good. And I know that pages aren't supposed to be edited like this because this exsists:
This article or section contains information fully or partially copied from an official source. This information should be rewritten or removed.
And you don't get to lecture me about tact and group effort when you completely forgo contacting me for the sake of throwing insuts behind my back. If you cared about tact and editor cohesion you would have shot me message on my talk page.--Appelmonkey (talk) 13:35, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Please see TYPE-MOON Wiki:Proposed changes#Appelmonkey's editing for a more central place for discussion. EGGS (talk) 21:56, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
I like to know where you got the character illustrations for the characters for the Prisma Illya game and if you could send me a link so I can get the rest of the images please.
Official Website archive. If you really want the images of the whole game, I would tell you to rip the game assets, not sure how you would do it tho.
Calm Down
All I am doing is taking what has already been written and cutting out the purple prose, vague bullshit, and trying to make the copypasted material book translations to sound natural English and to avoid plagiarism. We really don't need poetic musings, randomly inserted quirky quotes, and vague allusions to plot points in pages that are supposed to explain shit matter of factly. Shit like "Do you you love your Jaguar big sister cause here she's coming!" written in the personality section is pure and utter clutter. In case you haven't noticed, the stuff written material books and in-game profiles is written for people who are already familiar with the series and characters, not randos who want easily digestible information to learn about the series, that is what wikis like these are for.
I have given up on settling things peacefully with you since last I actually went through the proper channels to suggest changes you acted with hostility out of the gate and got angry when things did not go your way. No matter what I do, you have clearly already made up your mind so I won't bother trying to change it. If you have issues with my edits go to one of the admins and talk to them about it, don't go around playing content mod if you care so much about community respect cause I am going to keep making edits. If you want to chase me around the wiki that's your prerogative.--Appelmonkey (talk) 14:18, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
Did you even realize how you are wording stuff that isn't in the text? How your simpleton simplifying shit that has been going back to fucking years in your empty mind? Here, an example: where in the profile or the mats it was stated that Hassan of Serenity was immune to poison? None, but in your simple minded buffon mind, you wrote that down, thinking that your interpretation of the text is better than the fucking author himself. And you been doing that shit for years. I was rewriting all your edits until I got fucking tired and reverted it all since it wasn't worth my time. You are like a hurricane of idiocy in this wikia. You come in intervals of months, do your dumb little stunt and leave.
Ah but the purple prose this and that. Fuck off with that shit. You are not the writer, leave it as the author intended, the reader will interpret it as it is, not your another misguided shit. You are not the fucking writer, you are not the author, leave the fucking text as it is. Your interpretation of the text is not what this wikia needs, and you do this shit every time.
Let's just think about it: who knows the character best: APPELMONKEY or fucking Nasu himself? What gives more info on the character: APPELMONKEY dumb interpretation or a ohrase given by the character itself? It is literally the matter of not being dumb and bring in the information.
And even in this very section, you ooze with the dumbest take imaginable:
"in-game profiles is written for people who are already familiar with the series and characters"
Let's see, who knows more about the character, lets say Hector, his writer that did the profile and mats himself or one story written by another author (turas realta) using him on a story that wasn't his?
Do you know why the materials are so much more detailed than the game profiles themselves? And how sometimes even the games themselves get an up on the materials like new skill names or how sometimes a skill is used as a noble phantasm or vice versa. That is the word of the author. If there is a passage in the story that a character uses an ability and that is not described as a skill nor NP, no matter your interpretation of the story. The text is king, the writer's words are absolute.
Look the hassan of Serenity personal skills, you had the source, you had the translated version and you choose not to use it, because in your mind, your interpretation of the text is better than the author himself. This arrogance is incredible. I have literal problems with no one else in the wikia in more than 5 years. Guess who is the only one who does this shit? You. Not fucking anybody else does this. I dont go reverting shit from other users because it isn't my way, it is because yours is truly and complete shit.
The whole fucking point of sticking to the texts is to not allow shit like that. To not allow an editor to write stuff that is speculation or his interpretation of the story. And to have it marked for it to be checked and verified.
>Nowhere does it say Serenity is immune to poison.
Other than that she needs to logically be immune to poison for her ability to work without her dying, if you scroll down to the History subsection of her profile in this version of her page you may read the following: "Her body resists every single poison, while simultaneously, it is a lump of poison too." This was directly taken from a material book translation found here. Not only are you wrong, you are wrong in a very self-righteous way. Speak of arrogance.
>You did shit bad in the past!
And when I tried to get better went through the proper channels to suggest a big change it was still not good enough. In fact you were angry with me making a suggestion. A suggestion. Not actually doing anything, suggesting a change which could have been shotten down if you argued your case well enough and got people on your side. You did a whole speech and everything.
>I am not a writer
True I am not, but its the job of a wiki to put it in clear and concise language to make it easy to interpret. To get back to Serenity, I did not remove ambiguous elements from her bio. Note how I kept the bit in about how she was killed by being beheaded but that is not clear if the general or the First Hassan who did it or how the general found out if he did, with him figuring her out or mercy killing her after asking for death being two of the options. Not at one point did I put my own interpretation to it. The author's intention can be maintained while simultaneously putting it in clear and concise language. Sticking to the text is nice and all, but the text written in material books is NOT for the people who frequent wikis. What value has a randomly inserted quote? What value does a sentence that is phrased as a question when we got a canonical answer? ("Is Santa Nightingale more of the same Nightingale? Perhaps?")
As for Serenity's personal skills, I admit I accidentally erased some shit. I don't deny that looking at the previous version. But what makes you think that you must take up the sword and go to valiant battle against this vile villain who must be driven from the Wiki is beyond me. You could have just send me a message on my talk page and edited it back in. Maybe approach one of the admins if you were so really certain I was a harm to the wiki. I just talked with EGGS about this and this is pretty much what he told me to tell you. And sorry to tell you this, but he agrees with me that you shouldn't just copy-paste shit from translations. Cause guess what? Plagarism is not good. Care so much about the writer? Care about the fact their work gets copied onto the internet for free without their consent.
So I am going to keep doing what I am doing and you can either stop thinking you're some shonen protag and learn to live and work with me or you can just leave the wiki.--Appelmonkey (talk) 17:05, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
Yeah, you won. I wont come back to edit shit anymore. All the pages I took care for years are going to become not up to date and the one responsible is you. I just don't care anymore, so sit on eggs lap and enjoy ruining the rest of the wikia with him watching.
A single word has meaning, in serenity case, RESISTANT isn't the same as IMUNE as you wrote. For example: you can use a fire resistant cloth but this doesn't mean you are immune to fucking fire. But I get it, you are very very stupid. I won't waste my time here anymore. I have other wikias to five attention and I wouldn't want to waste energy seeing completely alright pages being destroyed because an imbred monkey of a man believes that his view of the text is more important than the author. The fact that you are removing specific lines of dialogue of characters that tells us much more about their personalities and how they speak to others and what they refer to it. And sometimes these dialogues doesn't make sense at until later. But since you ar devoid of mental capacity to think: oh, maybe how a character talks is really important to the page.
And we can see with the new character Dante Alighieri, since you went there and did edit his profile written by the author and put your imbecile interpretation of it.
Lets compare: -original text: "He seeks to follow in the footsteps of" -appelminey imbecile edit text: "emulating Virgil"
So lets check this out: since you are dumb, you use the word emulate. In a servant of the class Pretender, in a character that is the author playing the role of the character, but you chose the word emulate Another character/person.
A single fucking word and you are making the text worse, why would you write a word like emulate in a pretender class.
Then later you remove information about his homeland Florence for zero reason, why? Why even remove a piece of information about this character? His homeland.
Then you write this:
- Independent Action (B+ Rank): The Skill to act independently without directly receiving mana from their Master. At B Rank, it is possible for a Servant to stay in the world for two days without a Master if the Servant conserves their mana, avoids battle, and does not use their Noble Phantasm.
His IA is B+, why did you write B only? How many skills that are variants we have that works differently from the base skills?
- Territory Creation (D++ Rank): The Skill needed to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus, such as for the purpose of collecting mana, create magic objects, or perform other tasks.
Again with supposition, he isn't a magus. You know who else has TCand isn't a magus? Tenochtitlan. Unless stated in the fucking profile, don't write suppositions.
- Text: "It permits him free actions in world that don't allow it to humans."
- appelminey imbecile edit text: "It allows him to freely enter worlds which"
You fucking re tt ar d.
You fucking absolute incredible imbred ku.nt.
Did you realize what you did here? You (again) misinterpreted the text and made your own interpretation of it (again)
Do you understand that all Type-moon characters are created with paper rpg rules dating to FSN? How these actions means literally multiple actions inside the world that doesn't allow it for normal humans (example jumping thrice in air in hell instead of just once)
How the word permit is different from allow, because it infers from a set of laws.
Of course you don't, you are an idiot. And now eggs and The Lord Reader will have to waste their time dealing with your shit. I know that The Lord Reader hated having to categorize my images but that was it, now every single edit that you make, if they want to check the veracity they will have to see the text again. I won't suffer from this shit anymore. I am out of this shit loop. They are the ones who are stuck with you, not me.
So enjoy ruining all the pages, I cant wait for you to edit the Oberon Vortigern and interpret what is true and what is a lie whenever he talks, but since you are a very talented man, you will manage to fuck up hundreds of pages just like you did last year. Fuck you and that is all.
- Sorry for the late reply. I was busy editing. It's not really my fault of anything, you could have coped and kept editing, kept those pages uptodate. You decided to leave. Also how bro felt after writing all of that. https://www.shutterstock.com/image-vector/illustration-vector-hand-drawn-doodle-lion-351604631 --Appelmonkey (talk) 18:18, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
