A-Ray (Fairy)

A-Ray (亜麗, Arei?), known locally to the British Lostbelt as A-Rei (亜鈴(あれい), Arei(Sub-Bell)?), are a greater classification of Fairy.

Characteristics

A-Rays are pure Fairies formed within the Planet or the Inner Sea of the Planet, and whose existence isn't contingent on human civilization in any way. They are also known as Great Fathers (大父, Dai Chichi?) or Great Mothers (大母, Dai Haha?) in the world of magecraft. A-Rays are equivalent to Divided Spirits of the Earth's soul. The A-Rays are comparable to personified-nature Gods in scope, but unlike them, they don't impose rules on humans and are not clothed in human rules. Leonardo da Vinci claims that they are close to Elementals or True Ancestors.[1]

Within the British Lostbelt, the six A-Reis will never get a second generation, but A-Reis born afterwards with comparable power and inherited Authority are called Returned A-Rei (亜鈴返り, Arei Kaeri?).[2]
