Unlimited Blade Works
I have been working on this page for quite a while. I want people to have an accurate idea of what weapons or items Shirou or other users of Unlimited Blade Works can trace and their conditions. Recently I took a closer look at a much more clearer and better version of Fate/Unlimited Codes's video of Archer's Unlimited Blade Works; Unlimited Sword Dance then what we have on the wiki, and by stopping the youtube video I was able to clearly see that Archer projected and used Lü Bu's Houtengeki as well as Dainlsef said to be wielded by Sigurd after he recovered it from Fafnir's storage; both blades can be seen from the Gate of Babylon, and they can clearly be seen in the video. As such I wanted to add both to the official projection list, but another editor removed, and restored them right away. Their is also another sword that could be either Gram or Merodach, but I wasn't able to differencate the two, so I would need a second opinion. Can someone please confirm if this is correct or not.
Youtube Video in Question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlfSqgXpJjE 00:21 and 00:27 are the best place to see it.
Many of these weapons don’t have pages, so go to Gate of Babylon’s page for info. For example Hotengeki has no page, though there are two versions in Gate of Babylon and Lu Bu.
I believe most if not all of these weapons were from Fate/complete material II weapons section. GameCrusher55 (talk) 23:00, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
In Fate/unlimited codes, during Archer's Super Move "Unlimited Blade Works; Infinite Sword Dance" you can clearly see the following projected weapons Harpe, Vajra, Durandal, Houtengeki, Dainself, and maybe Gram. I know that a lot of speculation has gone around about what Archer can currently project, and since these were projected in the bounds of his Reality Marble I don't know if they really count. Still I want to create an accurate list of what Unlimited Blade Works can create. That's why I created the Unconfirmed Projections category, because I knew that their were some weapons that Archer had incomplete evidence on the website that he could project. I wish back then I had taken a closer look at the Fate/unlimited codes technique. My personal theory is that Archer and Shirou were able to project most weapons in the original Fate/stay night except for Ea and Excalibur. I think that's the reason Archer stated in Thomas Edison's Interlude that he could project Mash's Lord Camelot, as Tachie a Shielder in the original studio deen anime script had Lord Camelot. Also if the problem is that he projected in his Reality Marble than I have to say I feel Excalibur Galatine also falls under that category. We know that Nasu has at least stated that Archer can project Harpe against Medusa, there is even a work cited next to it. Most of the above weapons were featured in Fate/complete material II and I think the intention was that he could project those shown weapons.GameCrusher55 (talk) 20:38, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
I have recently added the mentioned addition's onto the Unlimited Blade Works page on this wiki. I have also included two new sections called First appearance onto Known Projection's, so people can know where the projection's first appeared, and a Projection Referencing to give more solid information on the more obscure Projections. Please if anyone's reading this if they can, fact check, and examine the information thoroughly so that the post's are accurate, and please clean up the page, so it looks nice and neutral. Once more I would like to stress I can not tell if the Projected sword in Unlimited Blade Works; Infinite Sword Dance" is Gram or Merodach as they look too similar. I know for a fact that Shirou saw Merodach with his own eyes in Fate/stay night on the 14th Day as it was used by Gilgamesh to counter his projection of Caliburn and over power him. In fact this lead's to a Dead End "One End" if Shirou doesn't successfully push himself hard enough to save Saber from Gilgamesh...the wounds given to him by Merodarch kill him, if he doesn't force himself forward through the pain and subconsciously use his sword healing to fix his body. However Gram's presence falls in line with the other featured weapons from Fate/complete material II as they were all used in his attack in Fate/unlimited codes. Their so similar I can't spot the difference. I used Gram as the current place holder, but if someone else can confirm this, that would be greatly appreciated.GameCrusher55 (talk) 18:28, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
Okay I've done more research, and it appears that the sword that Gilgamesh uses against Shirou is called Merodarch, but it is also referred to as Gram. The reason that I've had so much difficulty differencing between the two is because they use the exact same image. The image used for Gram is the very same one used for Merodach. They appear as the exact same sword. The very image used in Fate/complete material II to describe Gram, is also used to describe Merodach in it's appearance in Fate/stay night both the original and remastered. It's because they are literally the same picture, and are often described in the same way in the Fate/stay night game. That is why it is so difficult to differentiate between the two. Since Gilgamesh's possesses the prototype of every Noble Phantasm, it's possible that the very Gram he has in his Gate of Babylon, is in fact the Merodarch sword. This improper categorization is what created this problem. It also doesn't help that the prototype of Gáe Bolg is described as Gáe Bolg, when it was originally created by Scáthach to give to Cu. Especially when the prototype of it, is said to be Gungnir.
Since both swords are affectively the same one, than doesn't that mean that when Archer projected Gram, then he projected Merodarch too. I would really like help in properly categorizing this stuff. For reference go to this youtube video of Fate/stay night Fate (route) Day 14 Shirou vs. Gilgamesh Merodarch's first appearance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-xrJq2zsZg&t=7634s. The appearance of the sword is at 2:01:55 GameCrusher55 (talk) 20:42, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
Honkai
Also I would like to include in the wiki about the two new Reality Marble users and original characters from the Honkai:Star Rail X Fate/Stay Night Collaboration. How best would I be able to do that. The characters are Asna 'the mother of Iris' as Caster and Grady the 'Film Director' as Assassin, a Pseudo-Servant possessing Mr.Reca. These two are individual's from the history of Hokai:Star Rail's Penacony. The wiki doesn't contain much info, so your better off watching the playthrough. https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Asna https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Grady https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Sweet_Dreams_and_the_Holy_Grail_(Trailblaze_Continuance) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_IWUTNvBls GameCrusher55 (talk) 21:27, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
It specifically mention's their using Reality Marbles in the youtube video at 1:43:27 and 3:50:58 which confirms it.GameCrusher55 (talk) 21:36, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
There are also two other Honkai:Star Rail returning characters who are Servant's such as Mikhail Char Legwork known 'the Father of Penacony' and 'The Watchmaker' a former engineer of the Astral Expess who appears as his child form Misha as the Rider, and Oti Alfalfa also known as 'Old Oti' who is the head of the Alfalfa family, as well as the orchestrator of this version of the Holy Grail War, he is a Berserker. https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/The_Watchmaker https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Misha https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Oti_Alfalfa GameCrusher55 (talk) 21:57, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
You will ultimately have to ask User:EGGS, but I personally think these Honkai crossover characters should categorically not be added to the wiki. They are from a crossover which is largely about and rooted in the HSR universe, the presence of some Servants and a few mechanics do not make it a Nasuverse subject. It would be one thing if it were like Canaan and Nasu at least had a hand in it and it was its own self-contained thing, but the pages you link necessitate linking majoritarily to the HSR wiki subjects to make sense of them, which make any inclusion on this wiki where they have little connection to the rest of the wiki feel extremely supefluous. That's my position. --The Lord Reader (talk) 03:15, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- Given the length of the section in the crossovers list, I think it would be fine if the collab itself had a page. The mechanics of the event's HGW, sections for the unique Servants, etc would be fine to list on that page and that page alone. The collab HGW and Servants should not be categorized under this wiki's categories. Nothing pertaining to the lore of the other game should leave the scope of that page. Thank you very much for your reply. So it's alright to add it, but it must all be on one central page. I was curious because this wiki also has Nanoha X Fate characters like Nanoha Takamichi having their own page, and listed under Magical Girl's, although she is featured in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya crossovers as well. There is also Nagato from Kantai Collection as well that has their own page. If it's not too much trouble can you also give me an answer on the Unlimited Blade Work's question and Einnashe.GameCrusher55 (talk) 21:25, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
Einnashe
I would like to add Einnashe to the Reality Marble Categories, but since it's inside the Minor Character's page, I don't know how to list it. GameCrusher55 (talk) 17:06, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
