Neco-Arc Chaos (ネコアルク・カオス, Neko-Aruku・Kaosu?) is a parody character, a Nrvnqsr Chaos-styled Neco-Arc, that came to be through a mutation. In Fate/Grand Carnival, he appears as Mysterious Neco V (謎のネコV, Nazo no Neko V ?), parodying First Hassan. He is the extra member of the Neco Twenty-seven Cats, known as the "Forced to Work."
Profile
Background
Neco-Arc Chaos is a member of the Neco Spirit race, originating from the Great Cat's Village. He is even more enigmatic than Neco-Arc, and his connection to her is unknown. Like her, he may possibly be the "work of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg" as suggested by Aoko Aozaki, a mutation[1], or even something of a Tatari, a "certain urban legend" telling of six Neco-Arcs and a shady being that even exceeds the Neco-Arcs themselves, Neco-Arc Chaos.[2] He is the embodiment of chaos, calls himself a shut-in cat, and works part-time patrolling the cosmos.[1]
Personality
Much like Neco-Arc, he is mostly nonsensical, spouting off non sequitur statements and breaking the fourth wall. When not manic, he acts suave and smokes. Kohaku fears him as a "Monster Cat", and he antagonizes others much like Neco-Arc. Often, he ponders about manhood and life. He gets emotional when a show ends, or a new one starts.[1]
Appearance
Neco-Arc Chaos shares the same clothes and general appearance as Neco-Arc, but with different colors. He wears a black turtleneck sweater, a long dark blue skirt, and long black socks. His color palette resembles Nrvnqsr Chaos', and he also has the same facial markings. He describes himself as having a "swollen cookie-like face", typically keeping his eyes closed except for one portrait. He has sharp teeth, is often depicted smiling, and is sometimes shown smoking. Additionally, he has a gray tail that matches his hair, and his ears feature fluff in a lighter shade of gray.
In Carnival Phantasm, he occasionally wears a green apron when working at Ahnenerbe.
When parodying First Hassan, Neco-Arc Chaos dons a long, tattered black robe with wide sleeves. On his chest, over the robe he has a blue gem resembling a shield, and underneath it, a long-sleeved dark blue shirt. He also sports a skull mask with dark blue curved horns, dark blue sabatons, and his usual facial "cracks" are replaced by star-shaped scars. He may also wield a sword similar to First Hassan's.

Neco-Arc Chaos trapped in space
Neco-Arc Chaos has two arcade modes. The first is the same as Neco-Arc, with Neco-Arc Chaos saying all of her lines exactly the same. The ending differs slightly in that he quotes Metamorphosis by Kafka. Marveling over mankind's achievements in allowing him to record the season's anime and inventions like HD DVDs developed for NEETs, Neco-Arc Chaos receives the morning paper from Kohaku in his second arcade mode. He reads that MCMC's time slot has been bumped because of a baseball game, the eventual death of Nrvnqsr Chaos, a wedding congratulations, Jars of Happiness for sale, and an ad for Chaos to contact George Lucas in Hollywood. Surprised by it, he leaves to become a superstar.
He comes upon a field of cats and identifies it as "the party" due to the quivering whiskers of the first one he happens upon. It is identified as the audition hall for the next "CelebriCat", and Neco-Arc Chaos is the 666th entry. Neco-Arc Chaos reveals it as the abandoned factory used by Satsuki and points out the lack of movie equipment. The mystery cat reveals them to be the Damien Force that appears upon pressing "Down, Down, then B or C." Calling him the "former Original", they seek to usurp him at the top. Feeling horrified by the "nightmarish food cycle", they prepare to fight until only one is left in accordance with the "Great One's will."
As the lone survivor, he makes it to the "luxury liner to Hollywood", the Golden Dome. As it is just a chair on a torpedo, Kohaku blatantly calls it a Charon's ferry terminal with a "boat (trap) that will make you a star (send you to the stars)." Remembering it was a "read, then die" newspaper he received, she assuages his suspicions by mentioning that Shiki is fooled on a daily basis. He laments that Shiki is unfortunate in that he will stray from the path to become "Shiki the Killer" and that only the "main character's denseness" is what allows him to be an existence worth letting live. As Kohaku urges him to board, he realizes its true nature, causing her to reveal Neco Chaos Black G666. She reveals George's call was a ruse and the Damien rebellion to be her doing to ensure his defeat as the last one. He challenges G666 and wishes he had a new scenario ending graphic. After defeating the robot, he launches into space. Unable to be rescued because the International Rescue Agency does not have a "Thunderbird #4" and that the movie adaptation was canceled, he is left stranded.

« I can't go on living if I'm not a cat. But as a cat, I have no right to live. Hmm, which is right? » |
| (One of Neco-Arc Chaos' winning quotes, in Melty Blood Actress Again) |
Neco-Arc Chaos, underneath the rain, holding a bouquet of flowers.
Neco-Arc Chaos only has one arcade mode. It opens with him lying on the ground, looking defeated. He reflects about "Everything's rushing towards the final chapter...!" and how he'll just "Lay down and die." In a dramatic turn, he decides to say goodbye to the things that "shaped" his life, symbolically deleting files from his hard drive. However, his mood quickly shifts when he discovers, "there's a brand new series starting up." His enthusiasm returns, prompting him to break into Kohaku's lab to steal some equipment. His plans are quickly interrupted by Mech-Hisui, who descends from above, declaring she will execute him. To this, Neco-Arc Chaos exclaims about wiretapping and spy cams, as he goes on to fight Mech-Hisui. After defeating Mech-Hisui, Neco-Arc Chaos, now emboldened, remarks, "Whew, that was a fitting opening for the movie version." With that, he sets off for Kohaku's lab, ready to start his journey.
On his way to Kohaku's lab, Neco-Arc Chaos stumbles upon Shiki Tohno, who is waiting in a midnight park for Arcueid Brunestud, expecting her to lure Nrvnqsr Chaos there. From the shadows, Neco-Arc Chaos declares, "Huh. I followed the True Ancestor's presence, and what do I find but a single pitiful sacrifice. You can come out now, human." mimicking Nrvnqsr's way of talking. Shiki, confused but undeterred, tells him to show himself, and Neco-Arc Chaos obliges. As they confront each other, Neco-Arc Chaos begins teasing Shiki, complimenting him on his "Nice Glasses" and remarking that he's "at it again" with his knife. He even goes as far as to ask for Shiki's email, suggesting they could be "Good killing friends," before inquiring how many friends Shiki has. Mistaking Neco-Arc Chaos entirely for Nrvnqsr Chaos (despite the clear physical differences), Shiki accuses him of "begging for his life." The conversation quickly escalates as Shiki confronts Neco-Arc Chaos about the killings at the hotel, which forced Satsuki to drop out of school. Shiki, driven by anger and paranoia, prepares to fight. Neco-Arc Chaos, amused by Shiki’s confusion, responds he is nuts, and that the "Apron is deceiving you in many, many ways." After Neco-Arc Chaos emerges victorious, he leaves Shiki with three pieces of advice, "Not read any strange newspapers", "Never eat dried sardines prepared by HER", and to "Just get out of that house, okay?" Then, he resumes his journey to Kohaku’s lab.
Neco-Arc Chaos finally reaches Kohaku’s lab, declaring, "I’ve finally infiltrated the Doctor’s underground empire." But just as he’s about to say more, he notices that Neco-Arc had already beaten him there. What follows is a playful exchange between the two, as they begin a word association game. Neco-Arc starts with "Black," to which Neco-Arc Chaos replies "White." She continues with "God," and he responds with "Stars." This goes on until they both scream internally in shock, realizing "(Th-There's no opening!)". Neco-Arc then remarks that she "spotted the nyotorious Evil Cat," noting how "It's so stretched out, it looks all noodly like udon." Neco-Arc Chaos, amused, laughs softly, saying "what a nuisance you are, God Cat." He then jokingly asks if she was modeled after an "Ugly Saber figurine". Neco-Arc, laughing even more, replies, clearly annoyed, "I suppose that we're both so ugly it just ends up being funny, huh, you crappy cat? Well, wanna fight?". Naturally, Neco-Arc Chaos agrees, and they engage in battle. After the fight, Neco-Arc Chaos tells Neco-Arc to "Return to the village and begin training 30,000 Spartan cats," proclaiming that he will be the one to defeat the Doctor.
Neco-Arc Chaos, in one of his cut images.
Neco-Arc Chaos finally confronts Doctor Amber, announcing, "That's as far as you go." Kohaku, surprised, questions "Didn’t you and G666 take each other out?!", to which Neco-Arc Chaos responds "Hmph. He was a worthy foe. The moment I defeated him, his self-destruct mode activated. 'Well done, brave hero. I can't let a noble soul like yours die here.' He sunk to the bottom of Lake Baikal." Kohaku laments that despite G666's size, he was a failure, adding that the American model of "Size = Power" is outdated. Neco-Arc Chaos dismisses her, declaring, she can reflect on it in solitary, and starts to list her charges, monopolizing low-cost artificial magic energy, Nibocenium, violating the 2D Character Protection Act with the Negaposium Beam, and designing the parallel world transfer device, the Meturbo Multidrive. Irritated, Kohaku snaps, and asks what the heck he is. With a smile, he responds, "Born in Asakusa, age unknown, plans for the future uncertain. Surfing a magnificent board across the stormy seas of the world. A true entertainment connoisseur, before I know it I'm penniless. Yes.... I am but a part of the Great Cat's copy-pasted dream. One of the Twenty-Seven Neco Cats, I am the shut-in, Neco Chaos! I also have a part-time job patrolling space." Thinking he lost it, she sighs, and proceeds to fight him. After defeating her, Neco-Arc Chaos suddenly finds himself trapped in space again. He breaks the fourth wall, wondering, why is he in space again, whether if its a bug or cosmic vengeance, and if the Doctor is a character that shouldn't be defeated. Pondering, he adds that maybe the good ending would've been gotten losing to her. He then asks, "Isn't it about time you drew me a unique image for my ending screen, God?"

« I've got you covered. I've been to space and back, my good man. » |
| (Neco-Arc Chaos, speaking to Lev Lainur Flauros) |
The ICBMeow Muscle Supergun turns into G666-Mk.III.
In Melty Blood Back Alley Alliance Nightmare, Lev Lainur Flauros finds himself reluctantly stuck living with Neco-Arc Chaos and Neco-Arc, needing their assistance to return to his original timeline. After some comedic exchanges, Neco-Arc suggests testing the ICBMeow Muscle Supergun, a cannon capable of piercing through realities, by sending Neco-Arc Chaos to Chaldea. Before the launch, Neco-Arc Chaos proudly declares that the most important muscle is the brain, and he has it. Without noticing a mosquito from Flauros stuck to his back, he prepares for takeoff. Neco-Arc casually takes the mosquito off and hands Neco-Arc Chaos a spray can, instructing him to graffiti "NECO-ARC WUZ HERE" on a wall in Chaldea. Just before firing, Neco-Arc Chaos tells Flauros that he "smells like rotting sardines", and with that, Neco-Arc Chaos is blasted off.
However, the ICBMeow Muscle Supergun crashes, reduced to scrap. When Rani VIII arrives to repair it, the device briefly turns into Neco Chaos Black G666 (also known as G666-Mk.III) due to an anti-modding DRM trap embedded within it. After Rani VIII overwrites the system, the Supergun reverts to its original form. Following more chaotic events, Neco-Arc Chaos somehow reappears alongside a group of other Neco-Arcs. They hold a funeral for Rani VIII, though Neco-Arc Chaos, having missed all prior events, is confused and asks whose funeral it is. Rani VIII then regenerates, rising from her grave. Afterward, Neco-Arc Chaos and another Neco-Arc joke about how they had fooled Flauros earlier.
Rani VIII later transforms the ICBMeow Muscle Supergun into a warper and departs, only for the device to self-destruct. Suddenly, Neco-Arc Chaos and company find themselves at a pool where characters like Arcueid Brunestud and Sion Eltnam Atlasia are bathing. While Neco-Arc tries to film the scene, Neco-Arc Chaos and the other Neco-Spirits end up drowning—but naturally, they all survive the chaos.

Neco-Arc Chaos in Carnival Phantasm.
Neco-Arc Chaos is one of the workers at Ahnenerbe, the strange coffee shop that once every ten years allows worlds to converge, alongside Neco-Arc, Neco-Arc Destiny, and Neco-Arc Bubbles. His role is simple, work at Ahnenerbe, appear sometimes with Neco-Arc in comical situations, and occasionally declare "It's starting!".
Abilities
|
« I truly have a special move where I can attack you at the speed of light. Well, the problem is that my body will start to disintegrate before I reach it. » |
| (One of Neco-Arc Chaos' winning quotes, in Melty Blood Act Cadenza) |
Neco-Arc Chaos is a being exceeding Neco-Arcs who spontaneously mutates. He fights similarly to Neco-Arc using pokes and brief kicks as melee attacks, but is unique in his ability to use Nrvnqsr Chaos' various familiars and even copies of Nrvnqsr while fighting. He can turn his arms and legs into beasts, emit them from his back, and use them in other ways similar to Nrvnqsr. He has a "Space Shot Mode" that turns his dress into a rocket booster. While problematic, it is capable of propelling through the atmosphere into space, and while he can survive in a vacuum, he cannot return on his own. He can also use it at short range to propel himself horizontally at the opponent with I want to go to Doggy Land (ワンワンランドに行きたい俺?). He has a special move that allows him to attack at the speed of light to assault the opponent by travelling seven and a half laps around the world in a second, but his body will begin to disintegrate before then at around three laps.
Many of his abilities are similar variations of those performed by Neco-Arc, including his Chaos Beam (混沌ビーム?) and Opuba 666! (おぷばっ666!?) firing a black True Ancestor Beam from his eyes, one shot horizontally and the other shot diagonally into the air while yelling "Opuba!". His Cat Back From The Underworld P (Professor) (黄泉返りキャットP(プロフェッサー)?) is similar in that he moves underground away from the opponent, but appears with two dummy Nrvnqsrs rather than two other Neco-Arcs and becomes unable to use them as a distraction.
The ability Damien Armies (ダミアン・アーミー?) allows him to spit fully formed deer, crows, and Nrvnqsrs, and copies of himself from his mouth to charge at the opponent. Each copy of himself is a unique individual that can all be called "him" even if he is the "Original." They are the Damien Force, an Elite Cat Corps, also called the "Dark Chaos Corps", who act in battle.[3] Truly defeating him requires reducing their numbers to just one. Even if he is reduced to the last one on the Earth, he says "leave me with some jellyfish and I will multiply." When fought, Damien Armies is the same as Neco-Arc Chaos, but with four life bars that spawn a new ones as they are defeated. Unique personalities include:
- Neco-Arc Black (ネコアルク・ブラック?): The "#1 All-American Cat", he wishes to defeat Neco-Arc Chaos and become the supreme Chaos.
- Neco-Arc Noir (ネコアルク・ノワール?): The "favored frontrunner for the Macademy Awards", he wishes to defeat Black and monopolize all cat food.
- Neco-Arc Schwarz (ネコアルク・シュバルツ?): For who "all of America weeps", he wishes to defeat Noir and receive a Pixar full CG animation.
- Neco-Arc Nrvnqsr (ネコアルク・ネロ?): For who "all America trembles", he wishes to defeat Schwarz.
Nyampsey Roll~! JC
His abilities include:
- Nrvnqsr Chaos Theater (Bird) (ネッロカオス劇場「とり」?) - He spits out fast moving crow familiars, either as a single projectile or a wave of them.
- EM Wave Ultimate Technique - Necoesthetics (電波奥義ネコエステ?) - He attacks with numerous finger pokes.
- Super EM Wave Ultimate Technique - Necoesthetics - Stamp Relay West Japan (超電波奥義ネコエステ・スタンプリレー東日本?) - He attacks with numerous paw slaps.
- Six Segment God Chaos (六身分解ゴッドカオス?) - He splits into six segments, his limbs, torso, and head, and all are propelled at the opponent by rocket boosters.
- Behemoth Burp (ベヒモス・ゲェップ?) - He emits a mid-range green gas at the opponent.
- Elite Chaos Corps Damien Armies☆Beret (エリート混沌部隊ダミアン☆ベレー?) - He yells and creates long-range, large projections of his head that sprout over the battlefield. Another version emits three Nrvnqsrs that fly at the opponent.
- Nyampsey Roll~! JC (にゃんぷしーろーる・JC?) - He spirals towards the opponent in a whirlwind fashion.
- Dusk of the Cat (ダスク・オブ・ザ・キャット?) - Numerous Neco-Arc Chaos and one Neco-Arc rush the opponent.
- Cat's Returning of a Favor (猫の恩返しスーパーカース?) - Numerous Neco-Arc Chaos, flying Neco-Arc Chaos, Nrvnqsrs, 999th Beasts, and one Neco-Arc rush the opponent.
- Recall! Kaleidostick Strike (召還!カレイドステッキストライク?) - He summons a large Kaleidostick to drop on the opponent.
Neco Chaos Black G666
|
« I must be defeated 666 times, but just two rounds is acceptable. » |
| (G666 talking to Neco-Arc Chaos, before their fight) |
Neco Chaos Black G666 (ネコカオス・ブラックG666, Neko Kaosu Burakku G666?) is a robot designed by Kohaku observing all of Neco-Arc Chaos's fights, even though that was a reluctant action in itself. It is an invincible "Monster Cat Annihilation Weapon" carefully produced to be a perfect copy of him. It wishes to destroy all Neco-Arcs on the planet and disappear into the sun. As it is "666", immortal, it must be defeated 666 times, but decides that two rounds are enough. After being defeated, it explodes like a "bomb that could blow up the Earth 666 times" that only has enough of an impact to "make a shrimp jump." This is due to using only the gentle energy of the planet, Kohaku having succeeded in developing low-cost man-made magical energy, that is environmentally friendly, called "Dried Sardinium." [1]
G666 moves slowly and has powerful punches and kicks. It can shoot fireballs from its mouth, form a drill with its hand and charge the opponent, launch the drill-hand, fire itself horizontally with rocket boosters, perform the Six Segment God Chaos move, and shoot Chaos Beams from its eyes. All of the Specials are reminiscent of G-Akiha, the original giant robot boss

The Neco Arcs summoned by Neco Arc. The GCV's only military unit.
It is a self-defense force composed solely of specially chosen Neco Arcs whose overflowing savage nature, excellent physical ability, and unmatched intelligence cannot be controlled. These chosen few are known as Abaddon's Beret, and are the envy of all the Neco Arcs.
Of course, that's completely unrelated to its power as a technique. There is a high degree of randomness involved, so it's really only useful as a provocation.
Probably, this was done in order to faithfully translate the idea that even Neco Arc cannot control the Neco Arcs into game mechanics.
