KarmaWP (業 or 宿業, Gō or Shukugō?) is an eastern concept that refers to an action, work, or deed, and its effect or consequences.
Characteristics
Senji Muramasa's Eye of Karma is the result of him having set his eyes on the "karma" within the flames of his forge during his lifetime.[1] His Noble Phantasm, Tsumukari Muramasa, can cut through karma as well.[2]
Heroic Spirit Swordmasters are embeded with the Karma of the Absolute Massacre, an evil karma that animates their bodies, which are nothing but corpses from former Heroic Spirits.[3][4][5] Similarly, Ashiya Douman used the seven Command Spells granted to him as the Overseer of the Imperial Holy Grail War to embed the general Gods' Karmas into Servants during the Heian-kyō Singularity.[6]
Someone who has reached the Void like Miyamoto Musashi can see and cut karma itself.[7]
Beasts are evils born from "the karma produced by humanity's progress."[8]
Karma of the Absolute Massacre
The Karma of the Absolute Massacre (一切鏖殺の宿業, Issai Ōsatsu No Shukugō?, localized as Curse of Annihilation) is a Spell with which Ashiya Douman can turn Servants, Humans or automata into genocidal beings who cannot avoid bringing death and destruction to all human life in the vicinity known as Heroic Spirit Swordmasters.[9]
Those under the effects of the curse gain an artificial form of Immortality by keeping their Spiritual Cores separate from their bodies.[10][11] Due to this, Caster of Limbo claims only Senji Muramasa's finest katana, Myoujingiri Muramasa, can wound them. Later own, Fuuma Kotarou was also shown to be able to hurt them with his kunai, after he had absorbed Katou Danzou's Magical Energy.[12]
Alive Sakata Kintoki and Watanabe-no-Tsuna are able to kill Shikigami imbued with this curse thanks to Abe-no-Seimei's talismans and Medea Lily's enhancement Spells. However, Medea Lily states that seeing how he fights, he might have been fine without her spells.[11]
