The Imperial Tokyo Singularity is a minor Singularity created during the Human Order Revision in Fate/Grand Order. It was located in Tokyo, 1945.
The events of Ritsuka Fujimaru's visit to this Singularity are covered in an event of Cosmos of the Lostbelt; GUDAGUDA Strange Tales of the Imperial Holy Grail (ぐだぐだ帝都聖杯奇譚, GUDAGUDA Teito Seihai Kitan?), referring to the third collaboration between Fate/Grand Order and Fate/KOHA-ACE.
Setting

Akechi Mitsuhide transformed Tokyo into a Singularity by placing fragments of a Holy Grail at certain coordinates on the leyline to act as anchors.[1][2] He sought to create a Spirit Origin that would become what he would declare as the true Oda Nobunaga. In order to achieve his goal, he initiated a Holy Grail War to assemble a massive number of Servants.[3] However unlike a regular Grail War, the Servants have no Masters, and instead fight to earn class titles.[4] Once a Servant earns a class title, they establish territory within the area of an anchor.[1] If the proper owner of a class title stays with their territory, their mana is constantly replenished, and they are bestowed with the Grail's blessing. Because of this, Servants seek to expand their territories by seizing each other's territories to increase their blessing from the Grail.[4] By the time of Chaldea's involvement, this Grail War already repeated itself many times.[3]
In truth though, all of Tokyo is Akechi's territory, and the Servants' Spirit Origins are accumulated into the Grail every time the war repeats. This is for the purpose of forging a Spirit Origin of the highest purity. The Grail eventually summoned Nobunaga, but refusing to be its puppet, Nobunaga cut off a piece of her Spirit Origin before the summoning was completed. She then noticed Oda Nobukatsu's Spirit Origin was inscribed near hers from their previous encounter, so she took her chances to materialize him and borrow his Spirit Origin.[3]
Considering Akechi's ritual to be a threat, the Counter Force deployed Sakamoto Ryouma and Oryou into the Singularity.[5] Ryouma and Oryou eventually killed the official Rider, and proceeded to investigating the Servants' territories.[4][5] Okita Souji Alter was also summoned into the Singularity to serve as a one-time Counter Guardian for the purpose of stopping Akechi to repay Okita Souji's debt from when the World stopped her illness from claiming her as a child.[2] Unfortunately though, she was summoned without any memories and knowledge of the war, along with poor combat skills and initially the inability to speak.[6]
History
Alter
At the conclusion of some conflict, Oda Nobunaga and Okita Souji face off against each other, the latter being in poor condition. Nobunaga had betrayed Ritsuka standing in the way of her ambitions.[7]
She declares once she kills Okita, she will use the Maxwell Reactor to rewrite history to remake everything into her domain. Okita realizes that is why Chacha, Hijikata Toshizou, and Ritsuka had to die. Nobunaga now need only wait for her flames to consume Okita.[7]
But a mysterious light appears before Okita all of a sudden. Feeling everyone’s hopes and dreams from within, she uses it to become Okita Alter.[7]
The scene then shifts to Chaldea where it’s revealed the previous scene was Okita Alter recounting it to Nobunaga, Chacha, and Ritsuka. However, it is further revealed the scene is actually her viewing Ritsuka’s memories. She thanks them, glad she could see their Chaldea in the end.[7]
Imperial Captial
Imperial Tokyo
Ritsuka is suddenly rayshifted to a city where an alarm is going off. A citizen urgently tells them to get as far away as possible, indicating the seriousness of the alarm. He tells Ritsuka they’re in the Imperial Capital, Tokyo, and tries to continue escaping when a Nobbu appears. Ritsuka runs upon seeing the Nobbu kill the man while more citizens are killed.[8]
They bump into someone they assume to be Nobunaga, much to their relief. But their relief is cut short when Nobunaga shoots them. She deduces they are an outsider, having previously thought they were one of Caster’s people. She tries to finish them, but her bullets are blocked by Okita Alter. Nobunaga assumes her to be Ritsuka’s Servant, and fights her to test her capabilities as a Servant.[8]
She is disappointed though by her lack of strength, and shoots to kill her. Her bullet is, however, deflected by a woman accompanied by a man. The heroes then make a run for it with the woman Oryou carrying Ritsuka, while Nobbu chase after them.[8]
After escaping, the man checks Ritsuka’s wound and assures the bullet didn’t hit anything vital. He then introduces himself as Sakamoto Ryouma.[8]
Pulsation
At General Amami’s office, an officer reports on territory conflicts between Saber, Lancer, and Nobunaga. He also reports two platoons of the Heroic Spirit army have been formally approved and posted within the imperial capital for security and surveillance.[4]
Amami orders him to continue the surveillance for the sake of the capital, then permits him to leave. After the officer leaves, Amami maniacally laughs to himself that Nobunaga has returned.[4]
Ritsuka wakes up in an old detective agency that Ryouma is using. Ryouma introduces the woman as his assistant, Oryou. It was thanks to her saliva Ritsuka was healed.[4]
Over tea, Ryouma explains they are currently in a Holy Grail War without Masters, where the Servants compete for classes. He specifies, though, that the Servants are more like defects fighting to secure a proper class, comparing it to a preliminary round.[4]
Okita Alter wonders if she is one of those defective Servants. Ryouma isn’t sure, considering she is the only Servant he’s seen with a Master. He asks her what she is doing with Ritsuka, anyway. She answers she only knows Ritsuka was already there when she came to and feels they must stay with them no matter what.[4]
Leonardo da Vinci and Mash Kyrielight then suddenly make contact, which impresses Ryouma since Tokyo is quarantined. Da Vinci realizes the quarantine was why they initially couldn’t track Ritsuka after they were rayshifted.[4]
Asked by Da Vinci, Ryouma explains his goal is to either retrieve or destroy the Grail so he put an end to the people’s suffering. Da Vinci laughs at his stated goal as she cannot help but find him suspicious. Even so, she knows he can be trusted, since everything he said right now lines up with historical records.[4]
She then reveals Tokyo is in an isolated space surrounded by an invisible barrier that prevents both entry and exit through conventual means. Ryouma confirms neither Servants nor humans can leave. Da Vinci assures Mash that Ritsuka can be rayshifted back since they were able to contact them. However, more information and stability is required to increase the success rate.
Fortunately, she has already identified points in the Singularity that seem integral to maintaining Tokyo’s Bounded Field. Ryouma decides to investigate them given he was already planning to investigate Tokyo, anyway. A third party then starts to interfere with communications, so she sends the points’ coordinates before communications are cut.[4]
Ryouma prepares to leave to check on the other Servants’ movements while Ritsuka stays to recuperate and Okita stays to protect them. He believes the area is safe enough, though, given it’s a good distance away from the three Servants’ territories.[4]
He explains territories are another additional rule unique to this Grail War. So long as a Servant with an official class remains within their territory, they receive the Grail’s blessing. Because of this, Servants with official classes are all competing over territory.[4]
Incidentally, since he is a Rider, Ryouma can partially ignore the other Servants’ territories allowing them to go where he pleases, which is helpful in conducting an investigation. However, the effect of a Servant’s territory seems to differ depending on the Heroic Spirit and class, so direct investigation is still needed. Ryouma and Oryouj then leave the office.[4]
Outside, Oryou asks Ryouman if he is sure about letting Ritsuka and Okita Alter looking after the office. Ryouma believes they’ll be fine, especially if his suspicions about Okita Alter’s identity are correct.[4]
Elsewhere, a man in a black coat kills a Stray Servant using their own technique.[4]
Man-Slayer
Ritsuka and Okita Alter listen to a radio broadcast announcing that the Army’s 4th Magecraft has announced a Grail War has begun in Tokyo. [6]
Okita Alter is concerned about her lack of memories and questions if she really is Okita. The Grail also never gave her knowledge of the era, and she couldn’t speak until a moment ago. She questions what she is and worries if her contract with Ritsuka sealed properly. Ritsuka reassures her, saying they’re glad they met her, a sentiment she shares.[6]
She then hears someone coming when a man in a black coat enters, asking if he’s at the Sakamoto residence. Once Ritsuka confirms as much, though, the man tries to kill them. Okita Alter blocks his attack, but she can barely herself against his attacks. Seeing they’re at a disadvantage, Ritsuka and Okita Alter escape.[6]
They escape to the street, but the man easily catches up. He tries to attack them when he is blocked by Oryou. Ryouma recognizes him as Okada Izou. Izou calls Ryouma a traitor and tries to attack him, but Oryou blocks him again. Izou blames Ryouma for the fact he was beheaded, for which he will never forgive him.[6]
Ryouma feels remorse for what happened but says now isn’t the time to hash it out as there is an extremely Servant chasing after them. He then dodges an attack from said Servant, Okita, who has been pursuing him for trespassing on her territory.[6]
She becomes upon confused upon seeing Okita Alter. The heroes take this chance to escape with Oryou carrying everyone at Ryouma’s behest. Okita tries to give chase when her illness stops her, having failed to realize she left her territory. She notes Okita Alter looks just like her.[6]
Battlefront
At the detective agency, Ryouma allows Izou to strike him as revenge for his betrayal. After being healed, he reveals he discovered anchors formed from Grail fragments at the coordinates Da Vinci provided around which official Servants establish their territory.[1]
Establishing contact again, Da Vinci concludes that since the Singularity is maintained by the Grail fragments, it will be corrected once they’re destroyed. Once that is done, the signals jamming Chaldea’s observations should disappear, which will make rayshifting Ritsuka back simpler. Still, it will be a difficult task to accomplish. Da Vinci also questions what the purpose of twisting a Grail War into some sort of Servant war game and having the Singularity on that system.[1]
Communications start to get cut off again, so Da Vinci quickly explains the anchors and territories act in parallel to each other, meaning the less territory Servant has, the weaker the Grail’s blessing gets. Mash tries to tell Ritsuka about Okita Alter, but communications cut off before she can.[1]
The heroes’ goal is now clear: whittled down the Servants’ territories and sever their connection to the Grail. Ryouma convinces Izou to help by mentioning Okita will be a tough opponent, confirming she is a member of the Shinsemgumi, the group they both have a long history with.[1]
Meanwhile, at the city outskirts, Hijikata kills a Stray Servant after they fail to answer his of whether they're with Satsuma or Choushu.[1]
Competence
Nobunaga receives a report from one of her Nobbu saying Ryouma and Izou have joined forces. She dismisses them as weaklings, believing they stand no chance against no matter how many of them band together. She orders the Nobbu to continue gathering information.[9]
Oda Nobukatsu informs her a messenger has arrived on Caster’s behalf. Nobunaga doubts Caster wants to team up, but nonetheless orders her brother to hear the messenger has to say.[9]
Meanwhile, Izou protects Ritsuka and Okita Alter as they head to Lancer territory. Once there, though, Izou finds himself unable to sense Lancer’s presence. He quickly someone else beat them to it and so he and the others go inside.[9]
There they are greeted by Li Shuwen, who confesses to his disappointment he had just killed the official Lancer in a single strike. Izou challenges him, boasting of his own superiority. Shuwen accepts and the two begin their duel.[9]
Meanwhile, Ryouma and Oryou investigate the park, Berserker’s territory, when they’re confronted by Berserker himself: Hijikata. He asks them if they are with Satsuma or Choushu. Ryouma and Oryou get ready to fight. Hijikata concludes they are his enemies like he had thought and proclaims they will not leave Shinsemgumi territory alive.[9]
At the same time, Izou is in disbelief that he is losing and accuses Shuwen of using the Grail’s blessing, believing the Three Knight Classes get more support than the rest. Ritsuka and Okita Alter, however, both tell him Li Shuwen is just simply strong.[9]
Shuwen is disappointed in Izou, saying he could have been something if he were trained. Izou snaps back, boasting how nobody could beat him and how he could copy any style just by seeing it once. Shuwen admits Izou is more observant and more naturally talented than him. However, he surmises he only trained in one disciple instead of many like a true martial artist and that he died while he was still young and foolish. Very disappointed, he makes ready to kill Izou.[9]
Ritsuka sends Okita Alter to fight Shuwen, much to Izou’s incredulousness, given how weak she is. Shuwen nonetheless accepts and fights Okita Alter.[9]
Despite her amateur swordsmanship, Okita Alter manages to defeat Shuwen. He commends her, telling her even though she lacks confidence in her skills, he believes there is nothing wrong with her as she is now. He starts to disappear and praises her conviction to Ritsuka. Still, he admits he might have not lost if he hadn’t relaxed his guard.[9]
He then tells Izou that the difference between their skill was miniscule, but even that can be significant. Izou asks him why he is helping him, to which Shuwen admits he too was a troublemaker too when he was young. He tells him to rebuild his skills and to demonstrate how superior he is to his opponents rather than boast about. Both are essentially the same task, but Shuwen feels Izou changing his approach will change how he feels about it. He disappears, calling it fun to surpass one’s own limitations.[9]
Ritsuka tells Okita Alter she seems stronger now. Okita Alter isn’t sure so herself until she realizes her movement had improved ever since she saw Okita earlier. Izou takes his leave of her and Ritsuka, warning they’ll be enemies when they next meet and he will show no mercy.[9]
Agreement
At Amami’s office, an officer reports that Lancer’s territory has been eradicated. Assassin was presumably involved, but he was injured and his current whereabouts are unknown. Amami concludes Assassin ambushed Lancer and tells the officer to ignore him since he won’t last long injured.[10]
After the officer leaves, Amami prepares to leave himself, declaring to Nobunaga he has made certain she’ll have a grand old time.[10]
Ritsuka and Okita Alter return to the detective agency and learn from Ryouma that he found Berserker.[10]
Establishing contact once again, Da Vinci confirms the Lancer’s anchor is gone. As for the Berserker’s anchor, Ryouma admits Berserker was too strong, so he’ll try to destroy the anchor tomorrow.[10]
Da Vinci explains the more anchors are destroyed, the more stable connection becomes. The connection again proves unstable and quickly cuts out.[10]
Ryouma notices Izou is absent. Ritsuka tells him what happened. Ryouma is glad to hear he isn’t dead, but he decides it’s best to leave him be for now.[10]
Meanwhile, in Nobunaga’s territory, Nobunaga is handed an agreement of cooperation by Caster’s messenger that she has Nobukatsu read. It calls for a ceasefire between Nobunaga and Caster until all Servants except them are eliminated. Once that is done, Caster will give the Grail to Nobunaga.
While she and Nobukatsu are suspicious, Nobunaga accepts Caster’s terms. After the assistant leaves, Nobunaga admits she is going to kill Caster, regardless.[10]
Back at the detective agency, Ryouma reveals he has located Okita and Nobunaga thanks to Chaldea’s intel and his own investigation. He couldn’t locate Caster, but considering how good that class is at holing up in their own strongholds, they'll have to wait until he makes a move.[10]
Okita Alter decides to go after Okita, having the unshakable feeling she needs to see her again. Ryouma and Oryou are thus left to contend with Nobunaga.[10]
Memory
Ritsuka and Okita Alter arrive at Okita’s territory, where they were expected. Okita is ready to fight but Okita Alter first asks her if she is her. Okita is unsure since she never wielded a large sword. She and Okita Alter then begin their duel.[5]
Meanwhile, Ryouma and Oryou arrive at Nobunaga’s territory after breaking through her forces. Nobunaga accuses him of abandoning the war, but Oryou reveals she already killed the official Rider. Ryouma further elaborates he was never a participant and is only in Tokyo because the World called to him.[5]
Nobunaga realizes Ryouma is a Counter Guardian and is elated she had made an enemy of the World itself. Ryouma activates Like a Soaring Dragon, transforming Oryou into a dragon, revealing her to be his Noble Phantasm. The battle against Nobunaga commences.[5]
Meanwhile, as she duels Okita, (who seems to be instructing her on proper sword combat fundamentals), Okita Alter sees flashes of her past. Okita was originally born prematurely with brown skin and expected to die shortly. Her sister Mitsu prayed for her to be saved, believing she will grow to do great things if given the chance. This version of Okita thus formed a contract with the World to be used as a Counter Guardian. Okita Alter now remembers she summoned to the Singularity to repay that debt.[5]
With her memories restored, Okita Alter’s swordsmanship drastically improves; her speed now matching Okita’s in spite of her large sword. She declares to Okita she now remembers she is indeed her. Okita says it is too soon to be sure, as their duel isn’t over yet.[5]
Ritsuka assumes Okita will soon run out of magical energy, but Okita reveals so long as she is within her territory her magical energy will never depleted, nor will she be affected by her illness. She then puts on the Coat of Oaths in answer to Okita Alter’s conviction to defeat her and reclaim her identity, deciding to fight her at full strength.[5]
Okita Alter defeats Okita but feels the latter was holding back. Ritsuka assumes Okita was trying to teach Okita Alter. Okita denies it as all she has ever done both in life and a Servant was slay her enemies. It was enough to make her forget why she was even alive, which is why she passed her debt onto Okita Alter.[5]
She gives her the Coat of Oaths, causing the latter to reach her second Ascension. She knows she has someone to protect, something she failed to do when she was alive. Okita Alter is the person she should have been. Okita then disappears, hoping Ritsuka can watch over her other self, at least until her time comes.[5]
Okita Alter confesses she remembers her purpose and declares it’s time for all of this to end.[5]
Tenkai
Nobunaga kills Oryou. She prepares to kill Ryouma as well, declaring she will destroy this world and move on to the next. Ryouma, however, tells her she isn’t herself as he suspected and seemingly dies without elaborating further.[3]
Amami arrives, congratulating Nobunaga on her victory. Nobunaga realizes he is Caster when he mentions they signed a treaty hours ago. Caster introduces himself as Nankoubou Tenkai.[3]
Nobunaga prepares to kill him when he removes his sunglasses. She instantly recognizes him and goes into panicked confusion about the situation when she gets paralyzed. Tenkai proclaims he has her in the palm of his hand, just like back at Honnoji. Nobunaga realizes Tenkai is merely a face and deduces he rules Tokyo.[3]
Caster confirms all of Tokyo is his territory and reveals with each Grail War, his territory collects new Spirit Origins. He has bided his time for 300 years for this day to come, declaring the true Nobunaga will at long last return. Nobunaga collapses after angrily calling Caster Mitsuhide.[3]
At his command, a soldier of Caster takes Nobunaga away. Afterward, “Tenkai” declares that with the Grail, Nobunaga’s Spirit Origin and the souls of countless Heroic Spirit that came to this land, his wish will at last be granted. He manically laughs to himself while Nobukatsu leaves unnoticed.[3]
Ritsuka and Okita Alter return to the detective agency where they meet Nobukatsu, much to Ritsuka’s surprise. He argues with himself when it’s revealed he is sharing with Spirit Origin with Nobunaga.[3]
She explains the Grail had summoned both her and Ritsuka to the Singularity at the same time. However, right before she became a Servant, she had cut off a piece of her Spirit Origin to avoid becoming the Grail’s puppet. While normally impossible, she noticed Nobukatsu’s Spirit Origin got inscribed near hers thanks to their previous encounter and took her chances to borrow it.
Nobukatsu explains his Spirit Origin is usually too weak to even materialize, but he was able to after adding his sister’s to his own. Of course, it was only possible because they are actual siblings. Nobunaga had been biding her time inside her brother’s Spirit Origin, seeing how things play would play out ever since.[3]
Da Vinci makes contact and reveals the Singularity was created to collect Servants and produce pure Spirit Origins. Nobunaga compares it to a Kodoku Ritual and realizes that is why Caster required a Grail War with many Servants participating. Da Vinci reveals the Grail War had been repeated many times before.[3]
Ryouma then enters, revealing he survived thanks to Nobukatsu. Oryou also survived since she is Ryouma’s Noble Phantasm and was able to rematerialize once Ryouma was healed.[3]
The heroes decide to stop Caster’s plan so Ritsuka can finally go home when Izou arrives in a new outfit and decides to join them. Ryouma recognizes the outfit, but Izou asserts he is only helping because he refuses to be Caster’s puppet. The heroes then leave to locate Caster.[3]
Rushing In
The heroes invade the Magus Facility, where they’re beset by many Heroic Spirit Soldiers——artificial soldiers made from Spirit Origins collected from Heroic Spirits. Ryouma, Oryou, and Izou hold them off, while the others proceed on ahead. [11]
Ritsuka, Okita Alter, and Nobunaga enter the Grail’s chamber. Caster wonders who Okita Alter is, considering the Three Knight Classes are gone and Rider and Assassin will soon follow. But he finds it doesn’t matter, for the heroes are too late as he has everything (a mass of Heroic Spirits he accumulated over countless years, Nobunaga’s Spirit Origin, and the Grail) needed to bring about the rebirth of the true Nobunaga.[11]
A bit confused, Ritsuka asks Caster if it wasn’t him who killed Nobunaga. Caster admits it was, but he had no choice, for “he” was the one who stopped Nobunaga from truly being Nobunaga. She was everything to him and he offered her everything, yet she only smiled at “him” never at him. He refused to share her with anyone else, so he killed her.[11]
Caster’s True Name is revealed to be Akechi Mitsuhide, and he demonstrates a deranged obsession with Nobunaga, believing only she is fit to rule Japan. He prepares to bring about his idealized version of Nobunaga when Nobunaga criticizes him for being unable to do anything without her.[11]
She tells him he feared a world without and even though he killed her himself, that fear petrified him. Monkey, however, only thought of a world where he dominated after she died. Nobunaga therefore asserts Akechi didn’t lose to Monkey, he lost to his own fears.[11]
She then demands Akechi return her body. Akechi responds by ordering Heroic Spirit Soldiers to kill the heroes.[11]
Meanwhile, Ryouma, Oryou, and Izou are exhausted and injured from fighting so many Heroic Spirit Soldiers. But just when they’re about to be killed, Hijikata arrives like Ryouma expected.[11]
Advent
Okita Alter finishes killing the soldiers. Akechi finds she is powerful, yet she doesn’t fit into any of the normal Servant classes. Okita Alter reveals she is Okita’s Alter Ego and proclaims she was summoned to defeat Akechi. Akechi never heard of the Alter Ego class, as it doesn’t exist in Grail Wars. It doesn’t matter to him, though, and he orders more soldiers to execute the heroes when Hijikata suddenly bursts in, followed by Ryouma and Oryou.[12]
Ryouma reveals he and Hijikata called for a temporary when he and Oryou fought him earlier after he mentioned Okita. Hijikata proceeds to kill the soldiers in a rage. Akech is utterly bewildered by the situation when Izou stabs him through the back. Nobunaga uses this chance to take back her body.[12]
Akechi complains about how everyone is meddling in his plans, just like how it was back then. But seeing even Nobunaga won’t accept his ambitions, he decides to become the true Nobunaga himself and pours the Grail’s mud on himself to become a horrible monstrosity.[12]
Hijikata ineffectively attacks him. Akechi declares himself the true Nobunaga, the god who will grant mankind salvation: Demon King of the Sixth Heaven. Ryouma questions how many Servant Spirit Origins Akechi filled the Grail with and concludes he is becoming on par with a Divine Spirit.[12]
The heroes try fighting him, but all of their attacks are ineffective. Okita Alter tells them to do something about the Grail in his chest, then she’ll finish it. Hijikata and Izou attack Akechi, followed by Nobunaga and Ryouma using Demon King of the Sixth Heaven and Like a Soaring Dragon together.[12]
Suppression
A flashback shows Hijikata told Ryouma Okita nearly died at birth according to her sister. Ryouma realized Okita lived her whole life on borrowed time, a decision she never made herself. He agreed with Hijikata Okita Alter was summoned to repay that debt and surmised her Spirit Origin was made to self-destruct for the Counter Force. She is essentially a bomb and nothing will remain of her once she goes off. But while they can’t save her, Hijikata and Ryouma agree they can at least help her settle her debts.[13]
In the present, Nobunaga, Ryouma, and Hijikata all assault Akechi with their Noble Phantasm. Izou takes this chance to take the Grail from him, but Akechi doesn’t care as he only needed the Grail to begin things. The heroes’ Noble Phantasm against now he is both Nobunaga and a god.[13]
Izou, in a panic, asks Ryouma what they should do when he sees Ryouma and Oryou are disappearing from expending their magical energy. Ryouma apologizes to Izou but assures him she’ll handle the rest and disappears alongside Oryou. Okita Alter then uses the Grail to transport herself, Ritsuka, and Akechi into infinity.[13]
The three of them arrive in a realm of pure white. Okita Alter changes into her third Ascension and reveals she is a Counter Guardian. Akechi refuses to believe the Counter Force could interfere though since he turned Tokyo into a Singularity. Okita Alter asserts nothing exists before or beyond this point, so the same applies to him, and declares it is here he will fall. Akechi questions why no one, not even the World, accepts him. Okita Alter then fights him, proclaiming herself the one who rips demons asunder, destroys gods, and collects mankind’s wishes: Majin Okita Souji.[13]
Reminiscence
She defeats him and helps him realize he sought forgiveness for killing Nobunaga in life. Returning to his regular self, Akechi accepts this as the truth, and disappears.[2]
Okita Alter then begins to disappear and reveals she became a onetime Counter Guardian to atone for changing her fate so she could live. She is grateful to Ritsuka and wishes she could see Chaldea herself, but as a Counter Guardian, once her job is done, she can only disappear.[2]
Ritsuka doesn’t want her to disappear. Okita Alter also doesn’t want to disappear, but she cannot go with Ritsuka for once her borrowed lifetime is gone, nothing will remain of her. She thanks them for getting angry on her behalf, so before she disappears she touches Ritsuka’s face.[2]
Their memories flow into her. She only has a few memories from after she was born, so she is glad she could see Ritsuka’s memories of Chaldea, calling them the only proof she lived. She sincerely thanks Ritsuka and disappears.[2]
Ritsuka returns to the still burning chamber. Da Vinci and Mash make contact ready to rayshift Ritsuka, Nobunaga, Nobukatsu, and Hijikata out of the collapsing Singularity. Ritsuka implores Izou to come with them, but he refuses as he was summoned by the Grail, unlike the rest of them. He isn’t going to last much longer, so he tells Ritsuka to leave already. Ritsuka thanks him and is rayshifted out of the Singularity along with the others.[2]
Meanwhile, Ryouma and Oryou are revealed to have faked their deaths, like Izou correctly surmised. They all start having a friendly conversation when the chamber explodes.[2]
A Nice Day for GUDAGUDA
In Ritsuka’s room, Nobunaga finishes telling Okita about what transpired in the Singularity. Okita is surprised to hear she has another aspect of herself. Hijikata tells her she should be grateful to Okita Alter since she repaid her debt to the World. Okita asks Ritsuka what her Alter was like.[14]
Ritsuka starts to describe Okita Alter when she suddenly enters the room much to everyone (expect Hijikata)’s surprise. She immediately hugs Ritsuka upon seeing them and reveals she found herself in Chaldea when she came to. She wonders if this is the power of love Oryou spoke of.[14]
Hijikata questions what is happening. Nobunaga presumes some of Okita’s Spirit Origin rubbed off on Okita Alter, similar to when her own Spirit Origin temporarily materialized Nobukatsu. Then, to her absolute surprise, Nobukatsu appears and decides to stay at Chaldea until he disappears again.[14]
Ryouma and Oryou also appear. Ryouma reveals they were blasted to near Chaldea somehow, and requests to join Chaldea. Ritsuka accepts them into the fold.[14]
Seeing Okita Alter, Ryou asks himself why he is still here when it seems Izou had returned to the Throne. He assumes this means his work is not yet finished.[14]
Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, Chacha, upset she wasn't included in the events, proclaims herself Lady Yodo Alter Avenger and schemes to bring about the "real" Imperial Capital.[14]
Isolated realm of the Far East CHACHA
Later, Ritsuka, Okita, and Okita Alter find Nobunaaga in Ritsuka’s room in a seemingly unresponsive state with a shocked expressed. They assume she is dead, but she snaps out of it and tells them how on her way to the bathroom, due to drinking too much coffee milk, she caught Chacha trying to use CHALDEAS and was attacked by her.[15]
The alert suddenly goes off. Da Vinci alerts everyone that TRISMEGISTUS’ simulation had gone haywire and opened a portal into a strange realm. She dismissively guesses it is just data from the analysis ran during the previous operation misbehaving. She is quite tired and so leaves it to the others.[15]
The heroes prepare to rayshift, but Nobunaga says she cannot go since her stomach is still upset. Instead, she infuses Okita Alter’s sword with a little over half her magical energy to turn it into a god-slaying demon sword infused with the power of Demon King of the Sixth Heaven. She dubs it Rengoku, the Sword of Purgatory. Ritsuka, Okita, and Okita Alter rayshift.[15]
We the Imperial Capital Seven Spears
Inside her throne room, Chacha thanks her Toyotomi elites for assembling, believing they answered her pamphlets in Chaldea’s cafeteria, though that isn’t entirely true for most. She is absolutely furious an event was done without her and proclaims herself Avenger Yodo. She orders her elites, the Seven Spears of the Imperial Capital, to go forth, and gives them special soldiers crafted from Nobunaga’s Spirit Origin.[16]
Coffee Milk after Bathtime
The first of the Seven Spears the heroes face is Nobukatsu. To everyone’s surprise, though, Nobunaga appears, having taken antacid to settle her upset stomach. She then helps the heroes to defeat her brother and his Super Mecha Nobbu Mk. II.[17]

The final of the Seven Spears defeat is Hirano Ex.[23]
Goodbye GUDAGUDA, Until We Meet Again
The heroes finally confront Chacha in her throne room. She gets upset they do not take her seriously and reveals she has a Grail, having found lying around when she arrived. The heroes, realizing she may just be a threat, proceed to fight her.[24]
Chacha is defeated and falls asleep. The heroes leave the castle carrying her. She later wakes up with no memory of her actions, but she still apologizes nonetheless. Okita Alter tells her to not worry as she herself still finds everything exciting since she was only born recently. She and Chacha quickly become friends.[24]
Mash calls the heroes to see if they’re alright with Nobunaga urging them to hurry back. However, Nobunaga accidentally enrages Chacha and Okita Alter when she admits to eating their pudding and oden.[24]
