Fallicies

Who? Zahadrin (talk) 20:37, March 6, 2020 (UTC)

A main and well-respected translator in the Nasuverse community. He also happens to be one of the most knowledgeable people on fate lore, and a lot of people who know him ask him for fact checks.

Quite a lot of translated materialis because of him. You can find him on Spacebattles, Suffcient Velocity and Beast's Lair, to name just a few places, where he posts his translations of whatever the latest new fate thing is. He's fluent in Japanese and well-versed in history, so he's able to tell you the various means of certain words and what they are more likely to translate as.

Also any fanfiction he writes is confusing as fuck, since, as the one who translates a lot of Nasuverse lore, his works contain alot of "Nasu-fu", which makes it very abstract unless you know what he's talking about.

Look him up, he's the one with the blue magical-space girl as a profile picture.

Ohhhhh, i see. Zahadrin (talk) 00:10, March 7, 2020 (UTC)

Rita

The book doesn't name her. That post simply says what everyone has concluded, but it's not established fact in lore. EGGS (talk) 00:33, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

It would seem pretty pointless to mention her if she wasn't Rita. It seems like this is what the writers were going for. I'm going to have to ask Discord. And just to clarify, it doesn't mention the term Dead Apostle Ancestor or anything like that?
OtherOuterHunter (talk) 00:40, April 11, 2020 (UTC)
Nevermind, I found a translated page of the material book. I'm also asking people's opinion on a discord server, so I'll get back on that.OtherOuterHunter (talk) 00:51, April 11, 2020 (UTC)
That they haven't outright named her may be due to the setting changes in the "upcoming" Tsuki remake, or simply to remain vague in case the lore is to be changed in the future. Regardless of the easily made conclusions, we still cannot list it until it's confirmed. The best compromise has already been made in saying it's possibly her due to the surname. Unless it's in some random place in the materials book, they definitely don't name her outright. EGGS (talk) 00:52, April 11, 2020 (UTC)
I've made my edit saying "heavily implied to be [so-and-so] but could simply be another member of her clan. Are you alright with that?OtherOuterHunter (talk) 01:00, April 11, 2020 (UTC)
The current phrasing is adequate, and she's also not implied to have died. She fled from the conflict. EGGS (talk) 01:09, April 11, 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I realise my mistake, so I should have hopefully written "disappeared".OtherOuterHunter (talk) 01:12, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

Sorry

sorry to bandalize that page

I already send him message to his personal page, but it looks like he doesn't check it too often, that's why I send it that way.

I am trully sorry.

and about Altera being a Foreigner I did a post asking for it where I said that at least I didn't find it in that Archimedes side story and a couple of reasons why she isn't.

if you could tell me if I see the correct side story and if I did where is said I would appreciate it. ~~Lofiabestloli~~

It's not a side story, it's explained in the main campaign of Extella Link, as far as I remember.OtherOuterHunter (talk) 22:04, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

I'll check it

Shouldn't the Lion King be listed as one of the owners of Rhongomyniad? Why did you delete it? GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 16:54, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

As I said in the edit summary, and as you may see if you check back in the history, your editing broke the References and created an error. So I reverted them. EGGS has been brought to attention of the page, they have already been making changes. If you wish to add the Goddess Rhongomyniad, then you must do so without causing errors.OtherOuterHunter (talk) 20:47, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

Ok sorry, I'm new so I'm still learning how to use the wiki.GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 07:19, May 27, 2020 (UTC)

The Azreal Page

Apologies for the edits on the Azreal page but to be frank with you, its impossible to read. I weant over this with two friends of mine, one a big Tsukihime and Fate fan and the other who is unfamiliar the franchise and both of them had no clue the page was on about because of the flowery text. Not to mention that the fact that the sword the First Hassan uses is normal but stained by his faith and thus can kill someone with the slightest cut is repeated twice:

"It is ingrained with the faith that this individual continued to believe in, and spent a lifetime wielding."

"Though the broadsword that he bears is perfectly commonplace, it has been stained with the faith of its wielder in the course of his lifetime."

Simply summerizing that the sword has a low chance of insta killing anyone who it cuts regardless of strength because it has been fused with the Hassan's faith and because the Hassan occupies a space between life and death and that people who are in the same boat as him have a resistance to it makes it easier for the layman to understand, which I believe the purpose of a wiki should be.--Appelmonkey (talk) 06:50, 12 October 2022 (UTC)

Although I do agree the text is somewhat flowery, I can still understand it and what it does just fine with minimal effort, and evidently many others don't have much of a problem with it since you are the first to raise such an issue. The fact that you friends couldn't is not indicative that the text is too complicated for the majority. Besides, Nasuverse mechanics are usually complex and advanced; sometimes you just have to live with that, this isn't a school lesson where a Teacher is trying to phrase something in a way to make you understand so to pass a test.
Plus, that's no excuse for getting rid of a valuable and accurate translated source.
While summarising is usually done with abilities section when there isn't an exact written list of all potential feats in official material, when it comes to written stuff like Skill or NP descriptions, it is all added as is: no exceptions, no simplifying. You post it as is once you get a good translation; only replace it if you get a more accurate translation, not how you interpret it, e.g. if you have a problem with Fate's interpretations of history and folklore names and myths being inaccurate to how how it really is in the source culture, saying "Oh, TM thinks this word means this, but that's wrong, we should change it". It doesn't matter; you work with what is officially given in the text, don't give you own interpretations from outside.
As for you the two lines you quoted... I think you may have quoted the wrong lines to give an example of "kill with the slightest cut" being repeated. And even if it was, it doesn't matter much; if it's too noticeable and invasive, we get rid of one of them and merge them together. This one I feel is not invasive or too noticeable, as the faith line is not redundant but restated to help explain a different aspect of his sword and faith. No You Can't Actually

I talked with EGGS about this, you can't copy source books wholesale. You nor Lem are staff members and have no authority over me. If you got a problem with my edits report me to the actual staff then and have me banned.--Appelmonkey (talk) 20:33, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

  • I can't argue with that. OtherOuterHunter (talk) 21:07, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
    • In retrospect, I was a bit more vindictive towards you than I needed to be. I haven't had the nicest interactions with Lem, so I expected to be met with similar hostility, so sorry about that.--Appelmonkey (talk) 21:17, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
      • No, it's alright, I get it. I thank you for the apology, but I am sorry as well. I'm not innocent in that regard, either. Although I mainly defend the edits to make sure no crucial info or details, not matter how minor, gets lost in the transcribing - as has happened with some of the official translations - I suppose a part of me just came to dislike the change; that it was alright to copy profiles and descriptions wholesale for this wiki so nothing was lost, trusting in the accuracy of the translators (most of the time; there's been a few bad eggs in the past).

Part of me is still uncomfortable with this new change, though that is more due to mental and emotional conditions on my part. But as long nothing is truly removed/missing from the content's context, then that should be something I can (hopefully) follow and embrace in time, once it becomes more normalised to me internally.

I hope that will come to pass some day soon. As well as for this event being a fresh start for the two of us despite our past. Thank you again, and I am sorry again. Take care and good luck. OtherOuterHunter (talk) 21:33, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
