MaraWP (マーラ, Māra?) is a Demon God from Buddhist mythology.
Profile
Identity
Mara, also known as Tenma (天魔?), is a Buddhist Demon God who incarnates the wordly desires of depravity.[3] He embodies love and lust and represents an ultimate evil leading all he encounters to their doom.[4] The origin of his name is "one that kills" and is translated as "Demon", "obstacle to Buddhist practices" and "Demon King".[3] He is a Demonic Bodhisattva,[1] the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven (第六天魔王波旬, Dairokuten Maō Hajun?) that resides in the sixth heaven of the desire realm, the heaven of controlling others' emanations.[3] One of the most famous legends involving him is when he tried to prevent Buddha from reaching Enlightenment while he was meditating under the Bodhi TreeWP.[3][4] Mara tried to hinder his training by sending three beautiful women to him who were were all Mara transformed. They threw a plate of fire, stones, and weapons on him, as well as assailed him with monsters, heavy rain, and wind. However, Gautama Buddha was unfaced by it and simply turned the plate of fire and weapons into flowers.[3]
Mara is also an evil facet of the Hindu God of Love Kama, and they can be considered the same existence.[3] While Kama and Mara coexist in a 6:4 ratio respectively,[2] Mara isn't able to operate freely due to Shiva and the other gods keeping him under constant supervision.[5] However, that only applies under normal circumstances. Should the ratio increase on a grand scale in Mara's favor, their Saint Graph would awaken as a Beast-class Servant, as shown during the Edo Singularity.[2]
- Main article: Kama/Mara
As Tezcatlipoca was defined as the omnipotent deity on Earth within the Aztec world, his existence is, in a certain sense of the word, a mixture between Odin of the Norselands, Zeus of Greece, the Buddhist Demon King of the Sixth Heaven (Mara),and the Satan of Christianity (Lucifer).[6]

In the Indian Lostbelt, Arjuna Alter absorbed Shiva and the other gods,[7] allowing Mara to start operating freely without supervision.[5] This caused the ratio of Kama/Mara to tip in the latter's favor, awakening their Saint Graph as a Beast.
Abilities
According to Kiara Sessyoin, the Demon King Mara would never be able to wield a conceptual universe as one of her powers the way Kama did during the Edo Singularity. The reason for this is that Kama/Mara had become Beast III due to Beast III/R's failed attempt at maturing.[4]
Skills
- Embrace of Dreams: Mara can summon feminine doubles of himself, as shown when he tried to tempt Buddha.[2][3]
Noble Phantasm
Mara's Noble Phantasm is Mara Avaruddha, and it represents the same thing as Kama's Samsara Kama.[2]
