EX Indra
Another name of the god Indra, meaning "the one who slayed Vritra." As the god of storms and rain, Indra is eternally at odds with Vritra, the one who sealed away all the world's waters on top of a mountain. However, in every version of the story, it is always Indra who triumphs and brings salvation to the world. The two are said to embody the natural phenomenon of the blessed rain and drought. How Indra slays Vritra is described in various ways across myths : sometimes with the Vajra, other times by sending a beautiful woman, or even by exploiting loopholes in the wording of a contract by attacking at dusk using mere foam. Since the battle between Indra, the king of the gods, and Vritra, the immortal demon, is said to repeat endlessly, perhaps all the outcome of every version of their duel is true in its own right [1]
