I love Hydras. It's interesting that within Type-Moon lore, Hercules created a Heroic Skill / Noble Phantasm to specifically face it, Nine Lives.

When looking over the information about Demons, the Tohno family and the powers of Akiha Tohno, it made me consider the idea of perhaps a character in Type-Moon could have Demonic Blood (comparable to the Tohno Oni Blood) that originates from a being that imitated a Hydra and became a special lizard demon.

The motivation for this possible usage of the TYPE-MOON setting is based on my years long work to create my own fantasy race. This fantasy race being the "Cydaani" or "Hydraeic", who are Goblin / Lizardmen / pseudo-elves who are descended from a Hydra made of Quicksilver and has a Philosopher's Stone as it's gall / heart.

With the train of thought regarding Demons within Type-Moon, it gives a refreshing new perspective on my idea; especially considering this possible Nasuverse simulacrum would warp reality.

Zelretch notes and observation

Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, I see him as a flippant yet remarkably wise person that seems to have a tendency to subtly screw with people, who in retrospect had it coming concerning their own misdeeds and moral failings. Evidence to this trait of screwing with people is creating Magical Ruby and her sister Magical Sapphire, a "Kaleidostick" that can turn people into Magical Girls; that just seems like something that would really annoy and unhinge the serious and grim Magus of the Nasuverse, especially with Ruby's personality added to the mix. With Julian Ainsworth's evil shenanigans in mind, it's an interesting plot on his part to oppose the corrupt Ainsworth Holy Grail War and the odd mishap with Second Magic, Zelretch's domain.

At first glance his signature Second Magic seems like an excellent vehicle for Crossover FanFic stories, but based on my reading of the page, Kaleidoscope usage is practically limited to the Nasuverse.

BlazBlue comparative analysis

An interesting look into comparing the power abilities within the two settings at the bare minimum. FYI, BlazBlue is in the lead for outgunning the Nasuverse.

  • The concepts and ideas of Marble Phantasms and Reality Marbles give pointers, I think for giving a greater, practical understanding of BlazBlue's concepts of Observation and Event Interference. At the very least these things gives better context for how powerful things such as the Black Beast and Nyctores Causality Event Weapons.
  • The concept of "The Power of Order" in the worlds of BlazBlue is remarkably similar to the TYPE-Moon concept and powers of the Counter Force; though I feel the need to note that "The Power of Order" is meant to enforce 'balance' in addition to the concerns of the Counter Forces, which are to "survive and prosper" or "avoid extinction".
  • Conceptual Weapons have a few comparable traits or definitions to the Pseudo-individuality of a Nox Nyctores / Arch-Enemy Event Weapon. What I mean by this is that Conceptual Weapons impose a phenomena on to existence to function, while comparatively the Nox Nyctores core establishes its existence through Observation, thus creating phenomena.
    • After a certain amount of time for retrospection and further research, I've also realized that the powerful Nox Nyctores / Arch Enemy weapons are closer in nature to a Reality Marble (at least in a subtle manner most of the time), or perhaps even the overriding dispositions of Demons.
  • The "Swirl of the Root", the core of the entirety of the Nasuverse is remarkably similar to the concept of "The Blue" within the BlazBlue multiverse. There really is very little, other than the separation of differing franchises / fictional settings, for me to classify these two ideas as exactly the same thing; it should be noted that if there is to be a difference, it would be which Multiverse each of these... things at the unseen center of existence would connect to inherently.
    • I feel like this parallel within the two story-settings, and the divergence concerning the utility of Souls (BlazBlue/ Nasuverse) gives an interesting context for the unadulterated, awe-inspiring power that can be found and described with Nox Nyctores (Weapons forged from numerous Souls), and the eponymous Azure Grimoire, BlazBlue (Code: SOL).
    • Acquiring the Book of the Blue Blaze by my reckoning concerning the Nasuverse, would be what awaits those that reach 'The Root', touch it and then manage to understand it; at least that is what my knowledge from Wiki Research leads me to theorize.

I get the impression, due to how Julian Ainsworth and his rather strange Holy Grail War thoroughly corrupts Heroes and binds their powers into Class Cards, as well as information concerning Pandora's Box, it is easy to conclude that he and his sister have incurred the wrath of the Counter Force for one reason or another.
