True Name Redesignation (真名変貌?) is a process in which a being's True Name is substituted with that of another.
Characteristics
True Name Redesignation renders the subject's original name unable to be recalled. Those speaking about the subject from before the redesignation will be unable to utter their original name. In the case of Morgan's Fairy Knights, the True Name Redesignation lasts until they are defeated in battle.[1]
Known redesignations
- Barghest → Gawain
- Baobhan Sith → Tristan
- Melusine → Lancelot
- Mash Kyrielight → Galahad (self-declared while still under the amnesiac effects of the Nameless Woods's fog)
