is there any origin of invisible air? i mean, excalibur and avalon has their origin as the sword and final resting place of king arthur. how about the invisible air? is it a form of protection or magic that protects or relates to king arthur? as its title said, "bounded field of the wind king", is king arthur has connection to the elementals of the wind? i'm just curious, please don't be mad at me.

Never heard of one myself. It's probably an Author's Convenience, allowing Nasu to keep the antagonists, and in turn protagonist, in the dark about who she is. After all, for the player, the moment of revelation has far more impact if you make Giles's mistake until the Rider fight; guessing she's Joan of Arc. If they really wanted a less recognizable weapon associated with Arthur, Carnwennan or Rhongomyniad would have been better...Twelveseal 01:28, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

-I couldn't cite a source, but I seem to remember some explanation about Invisible Air simply as some way to hide excalibur's golden radiance when the king wished to conceal her identity, "after all he had Merlin on her side" or something like that. Still wonderin why not use Carnwennan, since it supposedly already served to obfuscate the wielder's identity... maybe is something like how Lancelot's "For Someone's Glory" doesn't work once Arondight is drawn? Planeshunter (talk) 19:02, February 22, 2016 (UTC)

Strike Air Rank?

Now I'm sure this topic will be met with cries of 'non-canon' but in the latest Anime Sabre managed to unleash Strik Air and tear Berserker in half at close range. Given his Noble Phantasm, doesn't this mean that the Strike AIr attack (Not the Invisible Air phantasm, but the offense move it produces) is a B-Rank attack? I also saw it. God Hand blocks anything that isn't A-rank, so it actually should be A. But then even the A-rank Broken Caladbolg did nothing on him, I wonder what the heck the guys making the anime are thinking. Sandubadear (talk) 21:23, October 25, 2014 (UTC)
It looked more like the charged up "gold Excalibur" shooting a mini-beam or something. Given that it is supervised by Nasu, it will likely be explained in the inevitable animation guide books. EGGS (talk) 21:49, October 25, 2014 (UTC)
She didn't yell EXCALIBUR so it's probably not it Sandubadear (talk) 22:03, October 25, 2014 (UTC)
Broken Caladbolg II probably did take one of Berserker's lives, it's just that they didn't see it due to the explosion and fire blocking their view until he regernerated, as for Excalibur: Excalibur is still a strong enough weapon to penetrate Berserker's GH, it is just the coating (Invisible Air) that is too weak for that, but the Excalibur inside could still penetrate his skin. NeoSuperior (talk) 13:18, October 26, 2014 (UTC)
In the VN, Caladbolg doesn't affect Berserker because he intercepted it just before it hit. Probably the same happened in the anime. Invisible Air actually increases the cutting power of Excalibur to 80 or 90, so if she just removed Invisible Air it wouldn't be enough. The gold version of Excalibur ranks 1000 of destructive power. Apparently she really used it, but nobody complained about lack of energy nor did she shout "EXCALIBUUUUR". Sandubadear (talk) 13:37, October 26, 2014 (UTC)
