- Humanity is doomed, so is the Earth (as we know from Notes). DoO wants to record everything of humanity to make sure to leave something, maybe it will be useful later on to... someone. To record everything, you must be sure to not miss anything - you must be sure that you're not closing down the record before everything is over, you must be sure that nothing happens afterward. So the solution is : wipe out humanity, then finalize the record.
