Secret Garden (シークレット・ガーデン?), shortened to SG,[1][2] is a term for secret parts of a person's heart. Not all of the SGs are the secret, hidden part of the owner's heart. SGs such as Crime Ballet are considered "actual hidden crime"[3] and appeared to be unobtainable from the owner in a normal circumstance.
The Secret Gardens were intended to be uncovered by others, then shared and accepted in order to strengthen the bond between the holder and the discoverer. In the case of a Master and Servant, this will improve the abilities of the Servant. While they are weaknesses and secrets by their nature, they not inherently negative. As demonstrated in Passionlip's interlude, attempting to suppress or eliminate one's own SGs is ineffective and leads to debilitating side effects.[4]
Punish
After defeating the Sentinels within their Venus Statues, the protagonist can then enter the inner relief to sever their connection with BB by using the collected SGs. In some cases, the process requires more than the SGs, such as Elizabeth's Migraine[5] and Meltryllis' All Drain,[6] to break the wall of their heart. This process, however, is fatal to the Alter Egos who are made of pure personality.
According to Jinako Carigiri, the process is akin to "thunder magic that causes clothing damage".[7] In addition, SG that only consists of falsehood such as Crime Ballet cannot be used in the process.[6]
List of SGs
Most of all SGs are gained as the player progresses into the story with the exception of the Servants, BB, and Kiara's SGs. Collecting all of the Servants' SGs are required to reach their endings.[2] However, the male Hakuno Kishinami can only obtain the first two SGs of Archer, therefore requiring only two to reach Archer Ending. Two of BB and Kiara's SGs can only be obtained in CCC route. Obtaining BB's SGs is a requirement to unlock the true final boss, and thus reaching the True Ending.

However, she came to realize how meaningless her life of newfound freedom was and wished to return to the day that she never lost her parents and hoped to redo her life again.
- Curse of Death - An SG that represents Jinako's total resignation from reality, believing that in the end she'll always be alone without the people that love her.

- Doll Mania - An SG that represents Meltryllis's action of pouring her love into the target of her affection without thinking of their feelings, treating them like a doll in her arms. It also encompasses her fondness for collecting dolls and assembling figurines.
- Crime Ballet - Meltryllis's fake 3rd SG that represents her desire to become an invincible prima donna. Overwriting the rule of the Far Side, Meltryllis changed the "loss of sense of time" into "her own loss of hit detection". This falsification was discovered and nullified by BB who claims that "only one god (she herself)" is enough.
- All Drain - Meltryllis's true 3rd SG that represents her desire to grant her loved one the greatest pleasure of all and immortalize them by making them a part of her forever, but is also a source of her loneliness as she would forever remain alone once said love is closed off.
- Co-Dependency Co-Dependency (Fate/Grand Order) - A new SG that replaces All Drain, representing Meltryllis's newfound heart to protect and be with her beloved one, trying her best to understand the feelings of that person without pushing her pleasure and desires onto them even if it means denying her own happiness in the process.

- Daughter of the Demon King of Fourth Heaven - Suzuka's 3rd SG that withhold the tragic past that she cannot erase. Although she was born as a goddess, she fell in love with the human Sakanoue Tamuramaro. However, their love was fated to not last, with Tamuramaro's trust in her wavered after the three years she spent with Otakemaru in order to weaken him.

- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder - An SG that represents her innate desire for cleanliness. Due to this disorder, she cannot stand to see anything out of place or in disarray.[8]
- Sadistic Tendencies - An SG that represents her acquired sadism. In contrast to Meltryllis' innate sadistic tendencies, Kazuradrop's innate fear and grudge against those stronger than herself leads to her relieving stress by letting others feel her suffering. This reversal of positions invoked such excitement in her that it caused her to develop sadistic tendencies.[9]
- Perfectionism - An SG that represents her desire for perfection. At her core, she can't stand the fact that she isn't perfect despite being created to be, therefore she seeks perfection, and wishes the same for humans as well. Because she loves people, and if they aren't perfect, this contradiction will be exposed. Kazuradrop knows perfection doesn't exist, but she seeks this ideal and doesn't want to love anything imperfect. But she can't help loving humans unconditionally because she's the Alter Ego of kindness.[10]

SG [Concept]
Secret Garden.
Translated literally it means secret garden. Which is precisely what it is.
It consists of an ambivalent preference or something that the character wants to keep secret, but at the same time also wants others to know about.
No human being can live completely without making a mistake, or be perfect in the eyes of all. You can’t avoid opening up your heart completely in order to achieve true mutual understanding.
A character’s SG presents their true self clearly. To open up a SG is both an invasion, and an act of love and affection.
Although it was axed due to moral issues, the Sentinel SG’s may have included things like their views on morals, very sweaty situations, and nymphomania.
Also not only the enemy Sentinels, but also allied Servants have SGs.
If you are aiming for a Servant’s ending, you must complete their SG by doing the character-related sub-events.
To digress, the liberties we took with the CGs for Archer’s and Gilgamesh’s SGs had the staff saying, “Just wait a second. We need to cool down and think this over logically. Is this really okay? Shouldn’t we be worried?”
There was a lot of debate about the CGs, but they were kept in since the concept of CCC is about being unable to run from embarrassing things.
SG【事柄】
シークレット・ガーデン。
直訳で秘密の花園。まんまである。
その人物が隠していたい、けれど知ってほしい、というアンビバレンスな趣味嗜好のこと。
人間はきれい事だけでは生きられない。真の相互理解を迎えるには心の開示は避けて通れない。
SGはそれを明確なカタチにしたもので、SGを暴く事は侵略行為であり、同時に親愛行為でもある。
コード問題から没になったが、センチネルたちのSGには背徳嗜好、多汗症、ニンフォマニア、といったものもあったとかなかったとか。
また、敵センチネルだけでなく味方サーヴァントにもSGは存在する。
サーヴァントエンドを迎えたいのなら、ちょくちょくサブイベントをこなしてサーヴァントSGをコンプしなくてはならない。
余談ではあるが、アーチャーとギルガメッシュのSG画面のはっちゃけぶりは開発スタッフ内でも
「ちょっと待て、冷静になれ我々。いいのかコレ、まだあわてる時間じゃないぞ？」
と論議を白熱させたが、結局は“恥ずかしい事から逃げない”というCCCのコンセプトが勝利した。
