| Xu Fu traveled to Japan in search of the elixir of immortality, and when she did, she introduced many elements of her culture to the islands. Several lands have local legends of Xu Fu bestowing them with some kind of technical skill (iron manufacture, pharmacy, ceramic arts, among many others) and she even has some shrines dedicated to her worship.
