Gakumazawa Traditional Style Martial Arts

Gakumazawa Traditional Style Martial Arts (嶽間沢流武闘術^?) is a style of Japanese martial arts practiced in Fuyuki City.^[1]

History

The style was developed by peasants to fight their samurai oppressors. Meant to disable a samurai's sword barehanded, it was made to block and counter an overeager sword strike, humiliating the samurai.^[1]

Characteristics

The school is post-initiative^WP style without a set stance, meant to adapt to the opponent. Through the use of spiritual focus, technique, and control of the body, they form a unified skill that works to counter the opponent's moves.^[1] Techniques include:
