Am I the only one who would see Zeus and Fergus sharing personality traits? XD

<p>Given Odin's background and circumstances, I can't help wondering if he'd have a composite or <i>Wisdom</i>-type access Skill to cover his repertoire ('Wisdom of the All-Father' perhaps?). </p>

<p>Lets not forget guys, Odin can be summoned as a Caster, and Casters can possibly exploit the only real weak link in Gil's strategy. What do I mean by that? Why, the Gate of Babylon itself is both Gil's greatest strength and (potentially) one of his greatest weaknesses. All of Gil's combat power revolves around GOB, and if a particularily powerful and clever magus/Caster-class Servant invented a spell to seal the Gate, then Gil would be totally helpless. Now, granted, I have zero clue what magnitude of magic that would be, but it seems to me to be a potential weakness for Gil. </p>

I love how this became a conversation about a figure who could totally and absolutely beating Gilgamesh and nothing else.

(even though he admit himself wouldn't like to be Lancer because he don't like this weapon XD) </p><p>Also, if the GoB were scealable, think that he would have been sealed a looong time ago in fate grand order, where we have the motherfucking king of magic himself and primordial gods like Tiamat. technically, even Ozymandias with his temple could not seal it because Gate of Babylon is an incarnation of a concept of Humanity's wisdom (which means that humans can't affect it) that oppose the gods with some of the weapon (same as above then). Could you really think Gil would have kicked Gugalanna, Humababa and Ishtar's ass (a goddess more powerful than Odin), not to think about others god's ass in the nasuverse, if countering him would be so easy? </p><p>

<p>No, everyone just thinks of ways to beat him. As for everything else you've described, I'm not entirely sure how much of that is true. Gilgamesh never faced off directly with Ishtar, so... yeah, I don't know where you're getting most of that. I don't know what Gate of Babylon being the "Incarnation of Humanities Wisdom" has to do with being able to seal it, since it's not that. The treasures inside are Humanities Wisdom, not the gate itself. The gate itself is still a metaphysical existance that connects him to that wisdom, and in theory can still in certain ways be shut down. It'd just be an excruciatingly roundabout way to do it. </p><p>That being said, I won't say Odin -could- beat Gilgamesh, because we are still ignoring one very important thing: Nasuverse would no doubt make it so he'd be on even footing or lower than Gilgamesh. We already know they're making Strange Fake a free-for-all for "Who Could Beat Gilgamesh" with Alcides, Enkidu, probably King Richard, and a freaking Horseman of the Apocalypse, but as of yet none of them have directly beaten Gilgamesh. And I pray they day Odin appears in Fate/ never comes. So that those who have argued above will still maintain their wonder about this topic. </p>

<p>Futhermore, Thor finally isn't in fate, so Odin is kinda a supposition... </p><p>However, about Gil and the Gods, hell, that's the reason Enkidu was conceived by them after all. But Babylonia itself present Gilgamesh opposing in a war with three gods (Quetz, "Gorgon" and Eresh, even though the last never really fight), and the enkidu chain prove himself being able to cancel a god. So Odin himself could never get out , even by magic (even command speal that are mracle are cancelled).  </p><p>That's one reason why I would not bet on Odin's ability to "sceal" the Gate. Do not forget that the "noble phantasm" is more the fact that he "possess" them and can manifest. But his ability to invoke even just one can be done, and that's why all of his attacks are done with it in games , scealed or not. The fact that he "possess them all" permit him to call them as a servant call his weapon. The great door is the manifestation of the Noble Phantasm by his material form, the Golden Key.  </p><p>
</p><p>The problem is that... hell, using a magic to cancel Gate of Babylon... Even the King of Magic didn't even try, so Odin? don't overestimate the old man XD. Well, technically, it's so simple that's sad in a sense. </p><p>

Particularly Enkidu and Alcides, as Saber is not really a threat and that the Horseman is  adanger to Enkidu more than Gil. That point is important: if you oppose Gil against Odin, which form? </p><p>as a servant, Odin, is a good Heroic Spiritn but not at Herakles or Achilles or even Cu Chulainn level of power. So he doesn't really stand . As a lot of gods. </p><p>Alive, well, Gil put the end to the Age of Gods. So the match up favorise him in nature itself.  </p><p>

</p><p>Because if serious, hell, Ea solve all his problems (since no god can oppose it, being extentions of the world), and Sha Nabga Imuru will just make him laugh at Odin. </p>

<p>Nope it's not. Archer compared it with the thrown version, so the one that is anti-army. Gugnir do not have the ability to oneshot someone, and if we refer to Archer, then Odin's spear is weaker in their power of destruction. </p><p>
</p><p>Also, Odin may have five Noble Phantasm... Or not. His Noble Phantasm, like most of the servant, will depend of his class. And well, lot of servants have more than five without it (Perseuuuuuuus?). Do not forget that if Cuchu were full he would also have five Noble Phantasm or so easily (his chariot, his blessing and his castle. And if berserker, then the Riastrad) </p><p>
</p><p>ah, and... comparing Gil with Odin by playing on the ability to seal Gob is bad for three reasons: </p><p>First, if both of them are not in their full abilities, then comparing them is wrong. There is no comparison between a nerfed character and a upped character. </p><p>Second, Gil can play with it too. I mean, nothing block him to get out a Hogu with the ability to sceal magic (Rule Breaker), spears (Rho Aias), or whatever. Enkidu is not his only weapon able to roxx here. And sealing a NP with a ritual is waaaaaay more difficult. </p><p>Third, do not overestimate Odin. Thor is not a servant here (now we know it's not him in prisma illya), and his power as a god is exquisite, lots of myths place him above Odin after all. And in term of fighting power, he clearly is greater. </p>
