Literally first few sentances of abilities. A servant with mag res doesnt have to guard against simple magecraft like that. Forcing a servant w/ mag res to guard as a modern magus is a big deal

And where does this forced defense occur? Because if it's from the OVA that's just wrong, he isn't forced to defend himself, he swats the feathers aside without them doing anything. So where is it stated in this novel you mention that they were a threat to him? Because the OVA shows and the Script from Materials very much confirms the feathers as a complete nonissue.
